so you have to start with your crossbow every single time? and you can't even just shoot them you have to maneuver around to hit their weak spot THEN switch to socr? what about for bosses where the weakspot isn't easy to hit, are you just wasting time running around trying to get an angle on it?
Anything and everything that increases your accuracy and stability. This gun is pretty ass right outta the box, you have to invest into it to make it good.
Next Week when dungeons hardmode are on, you can farm "shrapnell carnage" in the monolith of thirst, garantied hits on weakspot with shrapnell all the time, so you only need to do bodyshots.

Ngl I’ve done test with a lot of mods for shrap build ngl only right thing here is bullet siphon. Also I was curious to see what weapon mods you were using. With canine I’m doing 30-35k dps I’m also using bullseye sniper but I’m considering switching it but I haven’t tried it out yet. Also suggestion to anyone going for shrap build. When buying lone wolf set. Get chest or pants first it gives more base stats
I'm surprised the Gas Tight Mask or the Cage Helmet were not on the list. Gas Tight makes your shrapnel hit +1 with 160% more shrapnel damage. The Cage Helmet does +1 hit (means normal hits act like crits do normally and crits have +3). Me and another player were theory crafting on what was the better of the two but neither of us could come to a concrete conclusion.
As i cant see it. What are you using as mods/ attachments for your guns? May be interesting to see as well. Im running Obliterate on my Scar and a random on my crossbow with most crit application.
you really should try legendary leather boots, that one has a key effect. It says triggering bulls eye grants your next "bullet' will hit a weakpot, even if it hits other part, and additional +30% weakspot dmg. it surely match with shrapnel build
You can't have Beret and those boots on at the same time. Hence why if you get Caged Helmet Gold BP you swap it for Beret as it has better base stats but same item effect, which is +1 Shrap.
KVD with full burn build is good aswell. You need a molotov to get the burn stack to go up faster though but the burn stack dmg tick goes faster and higher.
Power Surge still hits 3x harder. My buddy runs your build specifically and I do about 200k-300k more DPS than him on avg when we run bosses/silos. Still a really good build though and great video!!
well, if you allow me, there are some contradictions over your build :| correct me if im wrong please. you should capitalize crit hit rate to proc more shrapel (weapon socr buff!!!) and thats why 2 pieces lonewolf shine! With that said, you are already proccing, imo, enough shrapnel parts and thats why, again imo, the boots on the ground are better than beret or cage helm :) i hadn't test with cage (my thoughts dispite the weird translation is that unique mod is the same of beret) but from all my tests DPS is way, way better with boots instead of helm. 3 agent is still enough cause at single target you dont have more mobs to kill. just put in the craddle the less stamina for running and stamina will always be above 90%

DO NOT BUY THE VALOR FOR 8K STARCHROM , USE THE GAMBLING SYSTEM INSTEAD to get it with 10K starchrom garantied!!! (maybe much less if you are lucky) you will also get a bunch of other purple and blue BPs with it + fragments. The buy system is only good when you cannot get it as a garantied drop. All Jackpot weapons / armors are garantied to drop after MAXIMUM 10K starchrom ----- Maybe you don't have it but I think one of the best armor mod is: +10% firerate for half the mag and +25% weapon DMG for the second half. I think it is just a crazy mod TBH. IMO, better than the 2 second CRIT after reload. Also, what is you opinion? What END BUILD is better? would you go 2 falcon / 3 lonewolf or 3 falcon / 2 lonewolf? I feel like 3 falcon, 2 lonewolf would give you higher DPS.
Actually this game reward you even if you lose the jackpot. THose thhat hit the jackpot probably wont run another gacha spin thus locked them out for upgrade blueprint. Those that lose like me (i got valor at 20 spin) can upgrade the valor to grade 2 minimum. Sure it will set back chrom for another gear but it doesnt feel like losing gacha in other game.
@@NATEDAWGG79 I use the Frost Tactical vest and it works fairly well for me, gives about 10k consistent DPS for free. Though, im sure your build is probably better for a permanent frost build

Question why are you not useing the weakpoint shrap hit + 80% and useing the scar mode with every every weakpoint hit you reload 1 ammo from reserve. I have my last valour with 64 rounds and on bosses i never reload unless i get bad rng on shrapnal hits.
Can you give some calibration recomendations. I believe you can put calibration types from other non crafted weapons on weapons. Wondering if there is an optimal one. Some raise/lower attack but sacrifice rate of fire.
wouldn't deadshot be better on pants. each crit by non melee weapons grants 5% Crit damage up to 45% but it gets removed on reload. i dont have bullet siphon and alot of other great mods so it's quite hard to test builds.
@Byrdman I have question about the shrapnel Helms, What is the difference between the beret, cage helm, and gas-tight mask, all seem to fit well into shrap builds. But im unfamiliar with the wording on the two legendary helms (is cage and beret not the same thing?) and when or if they are ever worth using over beret, thanks! Everyone seems back and forth on wich is better and no1 has really confirmed wich is best. (Also would u focus on getting the 4p legendary set or a legndary helm first, after getting last valor?)
Hey, so beret and cage helm works same but cage helm will provide more hp ad psi as it is legendary but both functions the same. Gas tight mask will increase the damage of shrapnel but will limit it to only one, this can prove to be useful if you have high crit rate/dmg, for the last it is really your choice but i would recommend getting the others as you already have beret for the helm
It sucks I messed up my Falcon blueprints I thought I was only getting the jacket out of the chests so that's all I upgraded I didn't know that you could use the blueprint for each individual piece so I only have the mask jacket helmet it's kind of funny I was actually somewhat making this build without even realizing it I didn't know there was a video on it
Where can I farm for that mod you have on your chest? I have a green version, but since it's a universal armor mod, I can't get it to drop from the chest specific silo atm. Is it just a random drop from gear chests?
thought with shrapnel you didn't want to shoot the weakspot because the shrapnel will not hit the weakspots if you do.... Edit: just tested and you do more damage not shooting the weakspot. Also the status enhancement cradle effects shrapnel
@byrdman I noticed you changed the calibration blueprint on your Last Valor. Do you have a list of recommended calibration BP's? I have a legendary +70% mag -30 reload speed crit rate, crit rate calibration BP and didnt know if its worth changing th valors default calibration bp?
whats the difference between the cage helm and beret, still trying to understand that. Also the tight gas mask, would that be the best of the 3 with the extra damage on it?
@@haphazodus Cage helmet is better. Getting 2 shrapnels instead of 1 is 200% dmg instead of 160% WHEN it can hit another part. So Cage is also better for small targets imo
Is the beret really the best helmet? There s a yellow one doing the same thing but i think for a really end game build the MAX shrapnel 1 + 120% dmg might be better with the shrapnel focusing weakspots it would be dmg multiplier with weakspots dmg and crit dmg. Still i dont know how beret effect or yellow helm effect works with the mod that bounce on weakspots. I know that with this mod you have to focus everything except weakspots to get the bounce of weakspot so i guess that 2 bounce would mean at best 1 bounce on weakspot and another on a random part. If it s the case then the 120% dmg might be better. Sadly impossible for me to test the mecanism right now dont have all the pieces.
the reload mod is absolute garbage. fyi you will take use of that effects for like 3-4 bullets. instead of having somthing that is consistant and the buff aint that good.

what 4 set of the lone wolf would you equip i know the beret is a must and earthly boots can no longer be worn with the beret and i see you got the boots but what 4 set would you make and what is the other option to go with the beret
i think it comes down to personal preference as long as youre going to put a legendary piece of gear in the last slot. all legendaries have the same hp so it doesnt really matter what combo you go for in the end. i chose what i thought looked the coolest. if for some reason you were only able to afford 4 pieces of legendary then youd want the last purple piece to be the lowest hp item

@@DazzzM8 I think my friend uses the MP7, if its the surge one, and hes been liking it a lot, though, we both have tier V weapons and his damage output is around 10-15k DPS, which is around the DPS of my Icy rain build. So I'd say its alright damage, but he very well could have a bad loudout/gear set to combo with it
It's important to note with shrapnel builds that the higher your ping to the server the lower your dps is going to be with a shrapnel build. Anything over 50-80 ping makes Shrapnel absolutely useless as a build and your better off with anything else.
For whatever reason when shrapnel is triggered that data needs to be sent from the client to the server, where the server triggers the shrapnel proc. This was found in testing during closed beta 2 and 3. And it looks like it hasn't changed. You could be using this guys exact gear setup and at 200 ping you will be doing under half the damage that he is doing. Shrapnel is very, very strong but also tied to ping. Don't play it unless your ping is under 100. I played in closed beta 2 when the servers were in NA. Playing from Australia with a 250 ping. Shrapnel did barely any damage because there were barely any procs registering on the server.
my dog will not attack the dummy no water what i do. if i shoot it first no. if i mark it with the crossy first no. if i ping the thing with an effin attack ping still no. wth is going on
Beret is the same as the cage helmet in its unique ability (+1 schrapnel) however the cage helmet has better stats on it (more armor). The gas tight helmet CAPS shrapnel hits to 1, but increases that damage. I havent fully tested it, I think no one has and if someone has no one has uploaded a guide or video about it. But I think cage is best, then beret then gas helmet. I think 2 schrapnel hits deal more dmg than 1 maximum shrapnel hit with increased damage.
i aprecciate your work, but that isnt a even best or one of the best shrapnell build, is good for early and early-mid game, my mid game build does 230k total damage per mag, and 430k if i use deviantion+bulls eye
