222 miles of range is nothing. Remember that you’ll often be running less than max range (170 mi), then subtract 10% on warm days, and 20% on cold days (136 mi). 68 miles range one way could be realistic. For $80k+ no thanks.
Range is overrated if you drive 99% in and around your local area - so the RZ will be viable for sure. Sadly with EVs people look at specs more than normal cars which will hurt the RZ.
When lexus reveal the price of rz450e they criticized the rx overpriced and not worth with the range and this audi coming in and slap everyone with 86k lol
Just found your channel while shopping for an iX/e-tron/RZ450e. Great reviews and thanks for commenting on the stereo - that's a key thing for me that most reviewers ignore. Added bonus was seeing Horizon West! I lived there a couple of years ago.
The new Q6 e-Tron along with the electric Porsche Macan on the new all EV platform are going to be the vehicles to get. They will be purposely built on pure EV platforms with superior battery technology and range compared to the current e-Tron lineup.
Awesome vehicle. That range is just too low though. 220 miles means ~170 in winter months where I live (with somewhat conservative driving!), and that's just not enough for my use case. I need a car that i can day trip within a ~100+ mile radius without needing to charge.
Yes we all know the range sucks. However I can see that Audi is clearly going for the 6 digit plus income earning city dwellers who dont want a car that screams EV and or familiarity. Considering that I think they scored a home run with this vehicle. You want a vehicle to go on road trips or accentuate your smugness look elsewhere.
just tells you how more effecient telsa's motors are. 222 miles max range is a fail for 85K they should make these cars upgradable like updated batteries, motors, etc.
You're not paying $85 K for the best range. Ride quality, quietness, overall smoothness, high build quality is what you pay for. And then on top of that is the BEV premium almost every BEV has.
I am not hearing that this a rip off. 20k more than a top spec rz. It’s clear there is bias against Toyota Lexus. Anyways who cares I don’t have the money to buy either
