Umm.. How can you leave the great Catalina Ponor out of this video. Her dismount during 2004 Olympics got enormous praise for difficulty, power, & confidence.

Not the best list ever compiled, but I’ve got to say watching Carly Patterson do that dismount never ceases to amaze me

Not sure why Shaposhnikova is here. Her dismount doesn’t make her less of a great gymnast, but that double tuck is not only one of the easier dismounts, but also poorly executed.

This video is a joke. A lot of these are nowhere near the list of best dismounts in Olympic history.

Whoever compiled this doesn’t know a thing about gymnastics. Where is Nastia’s iconic stick in the AA of 2008?

Love these type of videos So much, beam dismount are one of my favourite things to do at practice because beam is my favourite event but tumbling is the most fun, so put the 2 together and you got a beam dismount 😁

Liu Xuan performed one of the most gorgeous double tucks to win her gold medal in 2000. That should be in this list in my opinion.

Gymnastics 101: stuck landings. Only Carly Patterson and Yelena Produnova actually stuck their landings. The rest did not, and many had their chests down low. Chest high and absolutely no movement of the feet = stuck landings.

Best one in this list: 2:35 Tatiana Gutsu. She makes 4 backflips on the beam with increased speed before the dismount. Then 4 more flips on dismount with perfect low altitude landing. 8 flips total without pause. Extremely difficult.

With the exception of Shannon & maybe 1 more, barely any of these would qualify as best dismounts. Best dismounts means sticking the landing.

Yelena Produnova is the queen of double front tucks on every apparatus and Svetlana Khorkina is the queen of Gainers on Balance Beam

This video is a mess in ways that have already been stated, but I'll start by saying that if they were going to choose Khorkina's gainer 2½ from Athens 2004, they should have used the one she competed in the team final.

*This list was garbage and here's why:* #10 had flexed feet, pike down, and a hop #9 had leg separation on landing and a hope #8 had leg cross, slight under rotation, and a hop #7 had flexed feet, low chest on the landing, and a little step #6 had a horrible cowboy tuck, a super low chest, and a hop #5 had flexed feet, leg separation in flight and on landing, low chest, and a hop #4 had a significant step but wasn't too bad #3 had one of my favorite dismount combos but this performance had flexed feet, a low chest, and a little step #2 had a bit of a cowboy tuck and what could potentially be counted as an arm swing. This deserves to be on the list but not at #2 #1 had its little flaws but it should definitely be in the top 3 While none of these are really bad dismounts, there have probably been more better ones at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics alone. And so many great ones from even the same Olympics used in the videos were left out. Terrible.

I know I am going to get this girl’s name wrong but here goes. Where was Kerry Strug. She did it on one ankle. It was just a marvelous thing. I haven’t forgotten that yet and i’m 73. Most of these girls looked so glum. I hope their lives are happy now. Thanks for thr tape.

At least the last 2 were stuck landings. They are the only ones that come close to being "best" worthy.

I cant remember anyone doing a double front dismount other than produnova and its not number 1...

How can they not have Simone bikes landings up there at least once but I just seen at least 3 people do techniques that they didn't even stick the landing. How is that the best when they can even stick the landing? And I'm sure Simone biles has done a difficult enough ending.
