Hi Sonia! That looks exactly like where I live 😸 I'm on the East coast of KwaZulu-Natal South Africa. I see cruise ships going past every day😀 Durban is the busiest port in Africa 🤪
Thanks! I'm not sure, if I would do it again. It was a fun experience and great exploring Costa Maya by golf cart. 100% worth doing at least once, but it is always fun to try something new!
The owner of Mayahual golf carts passed away about the same time you posted this. I cannot book online with them and they do not respond to the email request. Is the company still up and running?
Was it really worth it taking the golf cart for $60 day. You ended up at the Crazy Lobster which is close to port. If you had to do it again, would you have just taken the cab to Crazy Lobster and used the beach there and shopping? Is there really a lot to see taking the golf cart?
Great question! It was fun to do once but I do think just getting a cab to Crazy lobster would be great if you didnt want to drive to different places but if you want to just hang out at one place there is pleanty to do there all day plus tons of shops!
You actually don't need a taxi at all, it is just a walk through the cruise port...which is a bit confusing to get through and they do make you pass every shop in the place. The Golf cart rental is at the exit of the cruise port.
I am not sure, we have not been there since April. It is always kind of first come first serve of which golf cart you get... Quality wise. But that being said they seem to have plenty of golf carts to go around so should not have an issue I would not think. Let me know how it goes!
I'm not 100% sure, they did not check for any sort of drivers license but obviously we don't look 16 any more 😆 I would check what the local laws are for driving there or contact them through their website. Very friendly people!!
