For some reason my links aren’t working but all you have to do is look up these if you want to go to the website:
(Header) Maxim work header for NB miata from rev9autosports. Mine has no catalyzer
(Midpipe) racing beat midpipe/connecting pipe for NB miata
Axle back exhaust. Pretty much a straight pipe with the smallest resonator on the end

I'm so used to Americans turning Miatas into fart boxes that I expected this to sound awful, but holy fuck it sounds amazing. It's somehow loud without being raspy, and in the high RPMs it sounds like a K20. I think this is the best sounding 4 cylinder exhaust note I've ever heard.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’ve never had a problem with how the stock exhaust sounds. As the driver, it really matters only what I hear anyway. But then I’m probably twice the age of a lot if you guys, so crazy amounts of attention is not my aim.

I feel you on that one. I like to switch the exhaust setup around and try something different every once in a while. I get tired of having the same exhaust if it’s been on over at least a year. The only downside is that it drones on the inside a lot which makes me want to go back to a stock exhaust😂 it sounds soo good on the outside though so I’ll have to put some sound deadening in.

does the hardtop make the noise while driving top-up more bearable? I have the megan racing axle back but no hard top and as it is the noise when I drive with the top up reverbs pretty bad.

Hardtop makes a big difference and reduces the sound a lot. Also depends on how good the condition of the top is but everything is fixable.

Stock is loud enough. Honestly. You get a lot of intake noise in the cabin, and with the top down you get reverb from the exhaust note coming back and around the car. It's perfectly fit. Anything else and it'll be uncomfortable, you'll find your ears ringing on long rides.

I ended up buying a set of CarbonMiata LED ones and installed a fog light external. Have been running that for 2 years now... I'm from Denmark myself, so pretty much same laws I suppose?
