The Persona Identity palette is my absolute go to for any time of year!!! I’m 59 and I love how smooth the shimmers are!!! So forgiving on my more mature eyelids👍🏼❤️🥰 I’m definitely going to shop my stash for some more fall color stories in my collection. Great recommendations here!!!!

I Love Eyeshadow Palettes, especially Neutral eyeshadow palettes, so I was in heaven watching this video! I wear neutral shadows all year 'round, but what I do do to get ready for Fall/Winter, is I remove my more Pink-toned Blushes & Lipsticks, and bring out my more Berry, wine-toned Blushes & Lipsticks!

I like to pull out palettes by a brand if they have an upcoming release… in anticipation. Like the huda naughty nude and rose quartz, and mercury retrograde. I should pull them out soon since she’ll be coming out with her large palette again soon. Early November I think. And Nars holiday will be releasing soon so I should be using my other Nars palettes from last winter….

UD naked honey has held up as warm toned yellowy bronze palette. And I have learned that huda can do her big palettes so well - I just won't pay full price for them! A smaller palette I love is the too faced buttered rum that one is fall in a palette to me. I am still very much on the fence about the bronze palette but love my glam from nd so we will see what happens. I am waiting for her to come out with something that I want as much as I did the glam.

If you are looking for something affortable and its similar to the new Tarte palette, then I recommend you to get the new Catrice Pro Slim Eyeshadow palette called Desert Romance. It is such a pretty fall palette with a splash of colour. The shimmers and matte are really beautiful and pigmented. It is only 9€. However, I just noticed that they are not available in the US, but only in Europe. So, this is more for my fellow European folks. 😊

Another (unlikely but trust me!! It works as a fall palette!!) palette from Colourpop is their Sweet Talk palette. I figured this out because I originally bought it as an “extension” for their Baby Got Peach palette only to did that the colors pulled more orange/amber on me.

Is the Natasha denona dream palette on your list to try out? Oh my gosh, it is so good. I love it so much more than retro. There are only a couple of similar shades. Dream palette has a bunch of same shades as lawless the baby one, but Natasha’s formula. Plus a few browns similar to the abh soft glam. And it has a multi chrome! It’s a pretty fun shade!

My most recent PRICEY eye palette I got is the Natasha Denona Circo Loco off Sephoras website and OMG! The colours are perfect. I thought it was a Midi size and it cost 175$ Canadian. I love it. Boxycharm will send us the 5 pan regular sized eyeshadow. I switched out her Cream to powder in this Teal which is unflattering with me. Weird I wear every colour but those tears. *smh* LOL 😆

Andrea what do you think about Natasha denona glam palette? Do you think it's the same quality as the retro palette? The glam palette is more of what I'm into cool toned. I saw some reviews people said there was a lot of fallout with the shimmers. Are the shimmers in the glam palette metallic or more like satin shimmers?

The glam palette has no cream to powder formula mattes. The shimmers are more metallic than satin though!

With the Natasha denona retro palette, I always have such a hard time getting amazing looks from it. It might be the cream to powder formula?

I feel like it could be one of those formulas you either love or hate! I think overall I probably prefer her regular matte/shimmer formula but I typically use the cream to powder in the crease. It's a little more difficult to blend but when I use a stippling motion it seems to help!

With palettes having about a 12m or 18m shelf life. Do you use them long after that?

Of course you do. The "shelf life" of products does not exist. The little tiny with the number at the back of packaging means "period after opening" which means after 12 or 18 months, the formula may alter and not perform as well. It's not a best before date. No brands correct people about it, because they want people to repurchase their products as soon as possible. Eyeshadow can last up to 10 years. My mother has Dior shadows from the 90s that still perform well. She doesn't use them though.

I want the Tarte palette but I’m waiting for a 20% off coupon because $52 is too high in my opinion especially since it’s made in China where the production costs are lower. I really wanted the tarte maneater palette but I find when influencers show it it looks much lighter and brighter than it looks in person. I found in person the shades look much deeper than they appear in influencer’s video under their lights. As someone who’s pale, I find deep warm or grungy colors or deep berrys make me look sick or bruised. So sadly as much as I wanted this palette I couldn’t make myself buy it..and I really wanted it too lol

This video was pre-filmed or I would have mentioned this even though I didn't reference the collection in the video but I definitely don't support their Harry Potter collaboration. I think they should have pulled it but I'm sure there were contracts in place that prevented them from making that decision. Either way, it would have been nice to see how they were going to take additional action to support members in their community personally affected by this decision rather than just lip service on their IG stories.

To be honest, I knew JK Rowling was a terrible person but I didn't know the extent of it until maybe last year because I don't spend time on Twitter. That's where I was able to find out about the terrible things she has said and I think it could be a similar case for others BUT I don't think that's an excuse when it comes to this collab because they should have done their due diligence. They have a responsibility as a company and especially as a company that says they support the LGBTQIA+ community. It seems crazy to me that this collaboration could have gotten through so many different layers of approval.

We are allowed to disagree. I refuse to participate in cancel culture. Unless someone is doing something heinous then I don't care 🤷 I still love Harry Potter and the makeup colourpop
