It doesn't matter, in my playthrough, the disciples knife, a psycho is enough to take any power armor down.

I believe it hints that Maximus’ suit fixed it. They keep referring to his suit having some sort of tempered lining that improves mobility, but there was also something else Lucy was about to mention when she saw the suit but she got cut off before she could bring it up. I kind of assumed that the tempered welding was likely the after-market fix to that issue.

They did with the T-51 It’s not made of metal, rather, a poly-laminate composite coated with 5-6 microns of silver to reflect energy weapons

I was once running to a quest that I didn't have location near it to fast travel to and I ended up cutting through some water as a shortcut. It worked out well because I was being chased by a deathclaw but my fucking fusion core ran out of juice and I died in the water 😂

@tigeryumyums9407 thanks for that. I just picked the game up again after a looong hiatus. I made lvl 150 when the game came out and quit because of lack of content. Years later I'm trying to learn all about the new fangled stuffs.

Excavator is the power armor of choice for us packrats. Also the legendary mods I have for it are all really good or at least nice to have, so I'm not replacing my set anytime soon.

Not really, aside from the post-war ones like Ultracite and Union, they only really added T-65 and Excavator, as Hellcat PA was actually mentioned in the intro to Fallout 4

​@stormv7204 The Ghoul was pretty clearly toying with Maximus. He instantly calls him out on not knowing how to pilot it, and then proves it by dismantling the armour without even needing to shoot and kill Maximus. The Ghould doesn't give a shit about Maximus and whether he lives or dies, he just does it for the love of the game as he mentions in the first episode. This also allows the Ghoul to prove to us that he knows the T60 and it's weaknesses, rather than just telling us at the end in final fight before taking on those knights. So no, it's not bad writing. It's actually quite a good example of show don't tell.

​@@stormv7204 I believe the ghoul didn't have the proper ammo to penetrate the armor in Philly. Which is why he takes the tooth off his dead ghoul friend, to craft armor penetrating ammo for the final shootout scene.

The fallout 2 enclave armour is an armour made by the enclave which based it off schematics from the US armies X01 suit, the enclave made some notable changes like possibly decreasing the amount of armour towards the legs and changing the shape of the helmet (my theory: to deflect incoming projectiles a tad better from hitting the vulnerable eye slits)

I assume you're talking about Fallout 4 because in 3 and New Vegas it's incredibly rare to find wearable power armor

@@dinah9463 then that makes perfect sense and in that case, I agree. I do love T45, if anything because it's ease of maintenance would give it a huge edge in a legitimate wasteland. Big difference between needing a variety of welding, electrician, and circuitry skills to repair a suit to just needing welding, and the components are also common as well.

Same with the t51 if we're going by game stats but realistically, it would need ballistic fiber because the t51 uses alot of Kevlar and fibers

In the lore the T51 are fucking strong X01 are just more strong against energy but T51 are the same but for bullet

Also the X-01 and T-51 have armor over their essential joint and hydraulic systems. The T-45 and T-60 sets leave alot of exposed components on the waist, back and joints

@maxissixam6049 you noticed that too? You can actually see some of the vault suit peaking out between the sides of the waist. Massive weak point for shrapnel, the T-51b noticeably conceals everything perfectly.

​@@a-manwhorememains334 As far as I know, all legit PAs are completely sealed -- even the flawed T-45, which already gives some level of radiation protection -- and the later models are meant to do it even better, so there can be nothing from the wearer exposed for it to have a meaningful effect. If you can see anything like that in the game itself, then that's a design flaw of the 3D model that directly contradicts the lore and the gameplay mechanics.

T-51 is iconic, but the best from FO76 is the T-65. Its basically a beefed up T-51 with extra armor and its design is cool.

@@chuckplainview4085 depends on what I'm using it for and how it looks but the combination I mentioned specifically with a X01 arm is the one I use the most, when you use a minigun you kind of stand sideways and I like the X01 arm to face the enemy like extra face protection
