I Busted 30 Myths In Different Fallout Games (Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 4) If you liked the video and want to see more let me know what other myths you want me to bust!
The Pulowski Preservation Shelters don't protect against radiation either. They don't protect the player, and you can find Feral Ghouls in some too. I think it's supposed to imply they were scams meant to profit off panic.
Obviously they were not scamming the people who put their $5000 worth of coins in the machine when the big one was dropping because ain't no one collecting that. Were they getting paid by cities or private companies to have them placed all around? Like "Shop at Fallon's - we care enough about you to put a Pulowski Shelter outside our store"?
I wonder who the fuck benefits from that though? You have to pay to get in them, implying the profit was only IF the world ends. Surely theyd be a municipal/personal scam. "why try to commission an artisanal vault when a couple of these on every corner will save you just as well? " If they put them up like payphones theyd be operating at a loss until the day where money is literally worthless and then theyd have a meaningless profit.
That's pretty much exact to the whole idea. I could see that being a real thing before the bombs dropped, with choices that were cheap and affordable next to vaults. Fool as many people as you can and make that profit off of every last corpse that chose to use one and it's a huge bonus to the profit made from the people who chose to be underground.
There’s a way to get the weapons back from the casino! In gamorah you make your way into the location that has the safes and the cashier, and if you hug a wall and look above a safe at a certain angle you can access the inventory of items taken off you from a safe behind the wall, and if you go to a different spot on that same wall and do the same trick you can find the inventory they took off your companions! Saved my ass the last time I played, I found the video of someone doing it in some forum online after searching for like an hour and it was a godsend
It literally says on the Fallout wiki that they were never meant to protect from the explosion itself- just the radiation. And of course it probably didn't do that either.
It would be cool if instead of the confidence man quest, Travis was available as a companion and he would slowly get more confident the more you travel with him. It would add a bit more depth to his character development
But that was clearly intended, because some developer at BGS spent the time to make a separate version of Fort Hagen's cells with extra assets to block the path.
@googleadministrator3994 IIRC the memory sequence of kellog in diamond city supposedly happens while the sole survivor is in vault 114, and after we rescue Nick, Kellog hears about our arrival and flees to Fort Hagen. It's incredibly goofy, but that's the way it's written
You can actually glitch your way to Kellogg early. I learned this from Nerbit, but using power armor and third person POV, you can either glitch into the blocked off elevator inside the building or you glitch through the roof access, which when opening the door allows you to get the BOS to arrive early. However, I recommend against this as it can break multiple quest lines if you’re not careful. I have broken both the BOS quest line and Unlikely Valentine doing this glitch.
You can’t pacify the Alien in FO4 but you can go to the cave before level 20 and place a frag mine there and when you come back later it will kill the alien instantly
Ah, c'mon man, that's cruel 😂 Poor guy already just crashed his ride, now I'm just picturing him army crawling all the way to the cave, slumping against the wall feeling safe.. and hearing BEEPBEEPBEEPBEE-
That is shit I want to see in movies, and we of this generation can make that crazy shit a reality from how open ended and sandboxed our video games are. Like the same thing you can pull off in GTA v and online
I have damn near died laughing countless times watching videos of fallout and GTA and Skyrim..... the simulation theory is real. And it's f'ing hilarious!
I think Tim Cain, one of Fallout's dads, would like that Travis follower thing. Some of the QA testers did the same thing but with Tandi in Fallout 1 according to his stories
You can survive uss constitution flight, no power armor needed, just hug the railings on the rear end of the ship, be carefull though you can easily fell over the board. Did this on ps4. There is also post on reddit with video about this. Not that hard to confirm really. Didnt know it was a "myth"😂
The SRB terminal isn't naming "informants" as in spies that report on things for them, it just means undercover synths/coursers have gone up to them to ask if they've seen someone or something they're looking for and been pointed in the right direction. Does not mean Carla _knows_ she helped the Institute.
An inconsistency around surviving jumping off of Trinity Tower in power armor is that there's a Brotherhood terminal entry that says a Knight damaged his power armor doing the same thing
It's more of an oversight than an addition. All NPCs will equip the strongest items in their inventory, so if you put power armor in the kids inventory they'll unequip what they're wearing and equip the PA. The devs *didnt* think of people doing this, so they didn't program the reverse pickpocketing to not apply to children.
I want to add something to myth 21, about Arcade Gannon specifically. There's a bug that only seems to happen with him and loosing weapons you give him to use. I know for a fact that this was not an issue caused by a mod as I used to play a lot of FNV without any mods and I remember finding this out the fun way. I gave Gannon an energy weapon to use with lots of ammo twice. First time it happened all of the ammo I gave him was used up, some time after that and me going back to good springs to empty is inventory after a loot run it was gone. Second time same setup but he did not go through all of the ammo I gave him and still after the loot run I went into his inventory and it was gone.
5:32 I want to say that the power armor phasing glitch does work, if you manage to fall to one of Kelloggs speech triggers he will spawn and you can fight him. So technically speaking, once you complete “when freedom calls” (I think thats right) you can just go to Fort Hagen and phase through a wall I think near the elevator, and land in a speech trigger area allowing you to go and fight him. I don’t recommend it but if you are speed running and you are confident, have at it.
In Fallout 76 using the "Sprinting in PA costs no AP" Perk Card (And maybe something else?) Fusion Cores no longer deplete from moving while you are overencumbered unless you do Heavy Melee Attacks or use a Jetpack.
6:15 Technically if you can glitch yourself through the chained door in the basement using the power armor wall clip Kellog does spawn and you can kill him, but it breaks the quest line somewhat.
My two cents on Fallout and Elder Scrolls being in the same universe; they are, and aren't at the same time. In Elder Scrolls, when you look up into the night sky, there's what appear to be several planets, moons, and other celestial bodies out in space. In ES lore, each body in the sky is its own, closed off universe / plane of existence. If a Nirnroot were to be hurled out of Nirn's orbit, and survive the journey through space, it's theoretically possible that one of those universes visible from Tamriel might be the Fallout universe, and the Nirnroot eventually arrived in the Commonwealth to be found by the Brotherhood of Steel.
Your companions in new vegas loss the weapons during combat when it breaks from use. I rember lily sawing something about leo breaking something and the weapon i gave her was on the ground.
the vault 21 bulletin board is slightly different than its fallout 3 counterpart, though it is a reused asset they changed the vault number on it to make it fit
15:40 They could exist in the same universe. Random shower thought theory I had a long time ago is that they're just in different galaxies, basically. The Bethesda universe could hold all their IP's, acquired or created, and just have them set so far apart in space that while they do exist in the same universe, they'll never meet. But *could* also explain easter eggs and similarities. Like I said though, random shower thought theory. I'm sure others have other theories, like different/parallel realities and multiverse shite.
For the third one, you can do it, but you need all ranks in the ghoulish perk. If you drink it after that, it will take away all of your HP and replace it with radiation, but you will still be alive.
5:20 the moment he did exactly what I would hope 99.9% of players would do in this situation and that’s why I love this dude he checks all the boxes even the ones outside the box
Maybe a bit late or has been covered, but the Ghomora glitch can actually be saved. If you sneak into the register/safe room, there is a safe behind the wall with companion non holdout items. You can abuse the third-person camera to retrieve your items.
FONV companions will get robbed in Gomorrah; your player character can wind up short too thus I drop all my gear in the 38 before heading over to the Gomorrah. Companions do not lose weapons but discard them without notice when they wear out rather than carry them onward. My two cents: 1. Raul will not use any energy weapons at all ever except for the alien blaster (he likes to do head shots with it and disintegrate enemies alot). 2. Raul seems to get way more accurate (weapons fire) and stops complaining about his eyesight when you give him a pair of glasses (he'll equip them). Neat vid btw.
You CAN survive the Constition crashing, you just have to be inside the ship when it happens. Take the trapdoor down below and try again. I've done it myself with the help of a jetpack to get there in time.
You can even survive if you are standing on the back of the ship, right along the back railing. It's easy to fall off but it keeps you out of range of the damage done by the collision.
I learned the hard way that your companions can be disarmed in Fallout 3. I had given Clover a unique melee weapon, only to find out she lost it somewhere. I kept an eye on her in combat after that and witnessed a feral ghoul hitting her (i guess it crippled her arm) and she dropped her gun. Then pulled out her default melee weapon instead of picking up the gun.
If you could put timestamps it would be massively appreciated - as I will come back to this video in the future to do some of these things. This video must have taken ages to make, and I really respect how concise and to the point and well done everything is. Keep it up!
I remember doing some of these on my first playthrough. I actually got further before the USS Consitution killed me. I made it all the way to the skyscraper
For Gomorrah in New Vegas, I think that is the casino where contraband is stored in chests located 'out of bounds' near the cashier. Those things are super glitchy though, so I wouldn't be surprised if companion inventory was just sitting in those chests. Open the console and use 'tcl' to disable collision and you should be able to get your stuff back.
I accidently jumped off the ship once it launched and i had to go talk to the captain again. I was so pissed until i landed and my legit response was “well isnt this a fine how do you do!? Hell yeah!”
The "ghost" in Arlington cemetery has been confirmed. He spawns in but due to tech limitations he's outside of the render distance and he's coded to disappear at a distance before he even gets to load in. A guy confirmed it by using mods to increase the render distance.
You have to have power armor and a jetpack to survive on the liberty, at the top of the arc at the front of the ship, jump forward and use the jetpack , once the nose tips you're fine... Aside from being stuck... Also, all the robots bug out as there was no dialog recorded for after the launch
Isnt there an elevator that leads to the roof? I could be remembering it wrong but im pretty sure there is a way to get up there. Ill have to check on that when i have the chance
@@scottishcheese13 i did some research and you also get the captain's quarters to yourself after talking to ironsides. I wonder how many people missed this completely, i found that elevator accidentally when i did
14:31 i mean to me it makes sense, what we know as skyrim might’ve been like en enclosed valley originally as a historical landmark but when the bombs dropped and everyone left the hills and mountains protected it and 200~ years later people moved in or the nearest vault got abandoned and the new generations didn’t know anything about the world above except for what they read in history books
#29 I wore power armor and rode the ship close to impact, and you can leap off before impact for a nice ride/fall to the base of the tower to continue the quest.
12:35 You can pretty much move anything not stuck in place with anything you can pick up. At the start of a new game I'll use a switchblade to push the car between Sanctuary and the Red Rocket close enough to the red rocket so I can scrap it.
You CAN survive the flight aboard the Constitution, you just have to get below deck. Ironsides' dialogue will still play over the ship's PA system while you're inside so you know when it's safe to come back out.
The Fallout TV show should do the Travis companion myth, Have Lucy agree to help someone and they tag along, but never actually get around to doing the thing
You can skip directly to Kellogg straight out of the vault, I’ve done it on ps4 with the workshop anywhere mod, go in through the door you exit on the roof that you see the brotherhood spawn, to do that it involves rug and crafting bench placement is key use the weapons bench to go through walls, you will need to do it again once inside where the caged area is
In my experience, as long as the quest is active you can race to Kellog without dog meat but for some reason this breaks dog meat leaving him stuck in Diamond city and you can’t interact with him. Easily the most annoying quest to replay, I’d rather do DIMAs memories.
7:55 NOTE: according to the wiki, each artillery piece in a settlement has a Five(5) Sector(the grids of the map) Range. so as long as it is within 5 Blocks of that location, it should still be able to hit.
I put days into a perfect playthrough of Fallout 4. Took my time. Built every settlement up. Finished on level 142. My big problem lies with Preston. He stopped giving me missions after Nuka World and now I’ve somehow lost Outpost Zimonja, I was only half finished the build there so it just looks a mess and I’ve no way of fixing it on console. Ahh it’s a Bethesda game.
The blast shelters were not designed to take a direct hit from a nuke, but instead are intended to increase your chances of survival if you are in the blast radius.
I did a completely broken run a fallout 3 once. In that I managed to beat the entire game without even saving my father. In another run I managed to fill the entire area with frag mines and then when I put a grenade in Autumn the explosion destroyed everybody in there including the father who I looted for his unique outfit
You can survive the mass fusion water if you wear the robes of atoms devoted and have the maximum rads already! (And with the robes you can have max health and rads plus it can have ballistic weave so its op with rad perks)
You can survive the ship taking off, you just have to be inside the ship instead of just on top of it. Ironsides is also inside the ship, denoting that if he'd been up top he would've died too.
New Vegas companions will drop weapons they are using if they become broken. I watched Boone throw an Anti Material Rifle after a raider shot it in his hands. I had to pick it up and repair it.
The gamora casino has a few bug safes behind the wall of the saferoom. U can only pick them up manually in the saferoom which is very hard or noclip behind the wall of the saferoom.
You can survive the USS Constitution flight. I tried this one on my own and if you make it inside the ship before it takes off using a jet pack, you can survive
In fallout new vegas you can damage vendortron with melee by going right up on the glass and punching him through it. I've done this before on the xbox 1 with the original 360 disk. Idk if any of that extra detail i added actual changes anything
Im pretty sure there’s a glitch if you kill father right away after talking to him and being positive about synths. I killed him the second he opened the first door and nobody noticed
