@Nightwish581 She toured with Epica in the USA a while ago when Simone was ill, does backing vocals and has served as a vocal coach for Simone as well : ) So even though she may not be a "member" of Epica, she sure is involved in the band!

Amanda Somerville can be heard on Kamelot's latest album Ghost Opera on the song "Love You To Death". She has also toured with them. Still, Amanda is not really in a band, she just does guest appearances regularly.

@nightqueen14 Actually, Amanda DOES sing in Epica....she is the main backing vocal, and she took Simone's place on a US tour like 2 years ago when she was sick!

To make a compilation of female metal singers without Marta Gabriel of Crystal Viper is just sacrilege! She's the best female voice in metal today... ..IMHO of course.

When I heard Amanda I thought it was Simone, they sound so alike. :D

I don't get why everyone hates Annette. Just because she isn't Tarja doesn't make her a horrible person.

Ah, Anette is so cute! I feel sorry for her every time someone makes a bad comment about her.. Still, I agree Tarja was better with nightwish, but Anette is doing quite well too.. Personally, I think Doro has the best female metal voice of all time

@LivonianKnight THOE is my least favourite WT album so that's why I didn't pick any song from it (despite that it's been growing on me a bit). As for Jillian, I agree it is a great song&probably the best on TSF. I'm not too sure why I didn't put it in instead but if I recall correctly my TSF album was a bit scratched irl and in some songs it skipped a bit, especially in Jillian and Stand My Ground. I don't think Aquarius is a bad choice but I understand your comment. Thanks.

Good effort but u had to continue with more parts!!! There are many more better but 'unknown' woman voices. Check out for example Angtoria, Sarah Jezebel Deva's band after Cradle of Filth. Just amazing... Noone mention her on his/her lists...

@NachoxChile90 i am a diehard Tarja fan and i admit i don't mind Anette with the right music. Listen to Follow Me by Pain Ft. Anette i believe that is what she should be doing other than that i am still a huge nightwish fan regardless

Amberian dawn's river of tuoni was good Vainglory's vocals is damned good Anything from NW's Imaginaerum is lighter .. WT is christian metal / symphonic rock Trillium so-so only .. Warlock is either hard rock or classic metal Delain's sound is seven string oriented i think

Like everyone ot them i think! There is some more, but perhaps that´s for part 3.. Abot that immerbeen tarja diskussion, At my opinion, Heidi is definitly as good singer as Tarja Tarja vs Sharon, well... perhaps a bit different sounds, but i can´t point my finger on who or why one shod be best of them, they are both the best singers (together with te other ones i like) Bands like Amberian Dawn, crimfall, SOP mfl is perhaps a bit underestimated compared to Old Nightwish, WT, mfl.

I've already selected a song for Seraphim for the upcoming part three, it's from the Chinese edition of the album Ai. I haven't heard The Agonist. If you suggest a good song of Otep's I might put it in, it's a bit hard for me to decide on one cause I haven't listened to Otep in a long time =)

@LivonianKnight Haha : ) Well my favourite WT album is Mother Earth by far, followed by Enter. I don't dislike THOE but I just prefer other albums^^'. Blind Guardian is of course a classic never to be dismissed by any lover of epic power metal. They had a huge influence on the metal scene and I really respect them, however cheesy their songs may be at times. Also, they keep producing good new albums instead of shit. So kudos for that to them 8)

Wrong Lullacry song. In a picture is Tanja when in the song sings Tanya. They are two different people. Tanya is way better than Tanja.

Anette is an average singer who happens to sing in a very good metal band....hope they change her soon....

AnneI think Annette is a great singer, but not for this group Nigthwish a musical level much higher than that offered by Annette, I think it should acquire a soprano and return to the musical level of wishmaster.
