Hey man, I keep getting these guitar ads that I'm pretty sure you are in (I don't remember super clearly but the dude looked like you) that I really dislike. They are clearly super predatory towards people just getting into guitar, (lumping in beginner behavior with obnoxious behavior under the banner of "immature" and then claiming you can fix their "immaturity,") and I feel are a very dishonest and honestly pretty arrogant way to market your product. If it's not you, sorry, wrong guy, but if it is you, did you make them like that on purpose? And if so, why? I edited to add grammar and clarity
I may have done this exercise a few times myself but the guitar was a lady named sparkles.. this should build my finger dexterity a lot better..👍btw htf do I save shorts? This is a good excersize & im planning on getting a gibson Baritone at some point in the future & will need the Vulcan death grip to fret some of those notess
this exercise and it's variations are even better if insted of pressing down the "anchored" finger, you try to rest it on the string without actually fretting the note. That way you force that finger's tendons to flex without getting help from the adjacent ones.
This dude has the best guitar and/or music hacks I have ever comw across. His music rhythm reading lesson alone is pure gold and worthybof a subcribtion.
@@zakk-ggmoonyham4436 why would we need to trust you in order to see if he’s good or not? You can see what his skill level is by viewing his RU-vid channel. He’s probably a high intermediate level player, if I had to hazard a guess
I've been doing this for 2 weeks adapting it to each finger all over the fret board and I've already seen a major diffrence in my ability to learn songs easier. Building that strength and independence is key. Love this exercise
Do it! It’s so worth it once you get past the beginning where practice is more tedious than fun. Once you can start to play some songs and make actual music it becomes really fun! Just gotta get over than initial hump. Happy playing! 🎸💜🤘
Great exercise! For anyone who's gotten the hang of it, I find that a simple way to up the challenge a bit is to move both the pointer finger and pinky a fret away from the middle. The stretch is killer!
Thank you! I got electric guitar recently and I played classical guitar 30 years ago so I have some problems with controlling my ring finger and this is something I'm gonna try.
Play c major scale up and down while your little finger stays on the low e 6th fret. I think another student of my guitar teacher came up with it and its very similar.
Great exercise, thanks! Anchoring the first or fourth finger isn't too difficult. Anchoring the ring finger takes a bit of effort and at the moment I'm still pretty slow. Anchoring the second finger - omg it feels like i have gone back to kindergarten!! My ring finger constantly seems to forget how to move!
