swatkiller007 They played the song up until 1997, long after John messed it up on SNL. Josh plays the riff of Stone Cold Bush as a prelude to Look Around in live performances, so they haven't forgotten about it :)

Just because he plays less bass now doesn't mean he is less skilled. He just become a better entertainer and what's the point of it all if not to entertain? He even broadening his audience not just to bass player/musician but to whole mass of non musician too. Granted bass playing video like this is great but it only cater to one, quite narrow group of audience. If anything he helps popularizing the bass playing art to public spotlight.

What compression are you using in this recording? Is it the one built into your Hartke amp? I've seen that asked a few times and you not answer on other videos.

I'm sorry i've never seen this question! btw i'm using a compressor pedal (the MXR one). I don't use the Hartke amp anymore, i'm using a GK MB115 now :)

Stone Cold Bush was FLAWLESS! Dude, that was incredible. Flea and Les Claypool were the reasons I started playing bass, and now I play bass in a Thrash Metal band, and I love incorporating funk and slap into the mix of high-energy thrash. You are a phenomenal player and an inspiration, man. Keep it funky.
