I have family in Madrid but I have never been in Spain, except for an airport plane stop headed towards Austria. I appreciate your channel very much. It is stimulating me to visit Spain.
We were at San Sebastián and Bilbao 2 wks ago….. Spanish food so creative and delicious…. I bought a bottle of Roda to enjoy and relax in my hotel room end of the day 😁 I brought back lots of pre-packed Jamon for loved ones and myself… it’s the prefect souvenir
I can't stop thinking that your wife is a Spanish Olivia Colman doppelganger! I'm visiting Madrid and Toledo in April and I will for sure follow your food journey through these cities. I love this video, thank you :)
Long ago I lived in Cadiz as an expat and on Saturday mornings I'd head down to Plaza Flores to get tortillas de camarones and then walk back to the cathedral, get a nice seat in a cafe across from it and read a bit and people watch over a beer. I have never seen tortilla de camarones anywhere else but Cadiz and I've seen some recipes for them online and they were nothing like what I'd get in Cadiz. I think it's because they use a local shrimp variety that's too small to shell so they just cook them into fried tortilla whole -head, legs, shell and all - and probably don't ship those particular shrimp out of town so nobody else can really make the dish authentically. Thumbs up on your showcasing them.
I have waded my way through this epic journey over a few nights ... love you two ... but Yoly all of this is nothing without you, harsh I know James .. yes you also make it such a super watch .... love from NZ 🤍🤍
Malaga with Hanni was hilarious! Thanks! Food and wine looked delicious. Glad you made it through, James! Looking forward to the upcoming locations. @spainrevealed
Lovely video thx for sharing so many yummy Spanish food😄👍. Perhaps you should consider using a gimbal to make your video less shaky? Just a suggestion😅
Re-watching your piece on Bar Brutal reminded me of a small boutique wine shop here in Pasadena that specialized in natural wines. I found them to be far too mineral tasting that the flavor of the grape was unrecognizable. I basically said "nail polish" as well the first time I tried them.
@spainrevealed what do you recommend for those of us without Spanish speaking skills? Are there guide services in Malaga, Madrid, etc that you'd recommend.
Hello! Yes, definitely. Devour Tours in Madrid is great (swiy.io/devourtours). And The Food Experience in Malaga (foodexperiencemalaga.com/), which are tours with Hanni from the video :)
4 hours... close to five... I don't know if this is some kind of compilation but what I know is that I can't watch it now. I'll check it out tomorrow. Cheers
Hi James, always enjoy the content 👍love Spain 💕 Regarding your accent? is it true that if you don’t speak Spanish from being a child you can never form the words correctly, your Spanish is vastly superior to mine but never sounds like a Spaniard. Your thoughts? 🤔
It took me a second to figure out the Gilda drink. My first thought was "that's not the name of the film" but then I remembered that we pronounce the hard "G".
Wish I knew. I'm afraid I don't. I think head over to the Spain Revealed FB group to ask (10,000 Spain lovers sharing tips): facebook.com/groups/spainrevealed - Have fun!
All over Spain you can eat well, from the most remote village to the most touristy city and with a very good quality-price ratio. They should avoid places focused on mass tourism, they are expensive and the quality of the cuisine is very low.
@@ArtFreeman Meat I'd classify as sheep/pigs etc. Seafood etc and fish seperate. Theres a saying actuallly thats "I like seafood but dont like fish" (refers to things like prawns etc as opposed to say a fillet of cod...) If you say meat lovers paradise I think of steak etc. Spain is a meat and Seafood/Fish lovers paradise. E.g a meat lovers pizza generally refers to say bacon/sausage etc not seafood.
I like this video James, but I also clearly see that its nothing new. Its just a video where you are cutting several pieces from former videos together. For example, you are several time mentinoining Devour Tours, but as per september 2022, you have nothing more to do with them. Thats okay, I still like your channel and enjoy this video.
Hello yes! As I explain in the intro of the video, this is a compilation video :) New video coming this weekend! I no longer run Devour Tours, but still do have a peripheral involvement and 100% support and recommend the tours.
