BEST FOOD IN BUENOS AIRES - PUERTO MADERO & PALERMO SOHO!
BEST FOOD IN BUENOS AIRES - PUERTO MADERO & PALERMO SOHO!
In this video we take a quick wander around Costa Nera park in Buenos Aires, before exploring more of what Puerto Madero has to offer. On our way to see the famous bridge - Puente de la Mujer, Craig spots his new favourite restaurant in Buenos Aires - Juan Bautista, it’s a really great restaurant but not if you’re vegetarian!
Afterwards we take a walk across Puente de la Mujer and head to enjoy the views from the other side with a quick cocktail before getting an Uber back to where we are staying in Palermo. After dodging a quick rain shower we head out to find a little more information on the popular Argentine drink Yerba Mate, we have been fascinated by how everyone drinks this everywhere in this country and were so pleased to learn how it works, maybe during our time here we’ll get to try some!
We finish the day with the tastiest meal in a beautiful restaurant in Palermo Soho and of course a glass of Malbec!
Upcoming Videos!
Join us next time as we leave Buenos Aires on an 18 hour bus journey to Iguazu. Where we explore the famous waterfalls in Argentina and Brazil.

We saved money and travel points, quit our jobs, rented our house out and boarded a one way flight. We started this RU-vid channel to share our experiences with friends, family and anyone who plans to travel to the places we’re visiting. We leave TKT tips/facts in our vlogs and blogs to give information that we wish we’d had before visiting. We hope you find our content fun & useful :)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it already, and I'm not trying to be rude, but just to help: Mar del Plata is a city further south, but still in the Province of Buenos Aires. It's one of the most important summer destinations for tourists. What you can see here in the video is Río de la Plata (aka La Plata River, wich is actually a estuary).

We've spent a lot of times in cities during our travels too, and we definitely agree that getting back out to nature and smaller towns is such a breath of fresh air! It's funny to see you guys going through the same process we do every time we look at a menu here in South America: lots of Google Translate! Your food looked delicious by the way! The first restaurant you went to had a fun vibe to it Loved the look of the Palermo Soho district too! Looks like a really cool place to hang out at night for food and drinks

When you got to the exit of the Reserva Natural you missed walking north along the old coastal avenue (Costanera Sur) where there are many carts with traditional street food of Buenos Aires, mainly the famous "choripan" (spiced saussage in a sandwich), and sandwiches with grilled meat (bondiola (pork) or "lomito" (cow)). But may be the lady wouldn't like it so much, because there are all meat sandwiches. The pink dip sauce could be Salsa Golf (or better Salsa del Golf) which is a mixture of ketchup and mayonaise. The mate is very good to share. One person, the "cebador" is in charge of preparing the mate, water it, and give the mate to the next person. You don't say thank you when you receive the mate or when you return it to the cebador, that means that you won't take more. The "cebador" will remember and skip you the next time you should receive the mate. And you drink all the water of the mate. The mate must be returned without any water. Many people drink mate at breakfast, to relax sometime during the day. Students studying alone or in groups may drink mate. It's the cebador that decides when to change the yerba, because you may drink many mates with the same yerba in it, because the water remains little time between the cebador and the drinking. The water of mate must no boil and should be between 60 and 70 degrees Celsius.
@TideKnotTravellers
@TideKnotTravellers 2 года назад
Thank you so much for the info we have been quite fascinated by Mate ever since we arrived and saw everyone drinking it everywhere! We will try some before we leave Argentina although we have been warned that we may not like the taste as it is quite strong and unique, still it is something we want to experience.
