I decided to treat myself during the Sephora sale and picked up the Dior Forever because of your recommendation. It's almost magic how well it controls my oils while still looking like skin. My husband asked me after I had been wearing it for 10 hours if I had touched up my makeup because it looked so freshly applied. Game changing recommendation for me Nikki!

Thank you so much for taking the time to do your tutorials. I did watch the entire video of your foundations. I have been wearing Estée Lauder Doublewear for 30 years now. I have tried switching up to others, but always find myself going back to the Estée Lauder double wear or the Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation. I find for my money these give me the most coverage for what I want. I am a Retired Registered Nurse and wanted the long day coverage, so that is what I wore. I did try the Haus Labs foundation as a sample and two from Dior and liked them both, but they didn’t give me the coverage I needed. I am 67 years old, and don’t think I’ll change now. We are foundation twins! I am 57 and have been wearing EL double wear for that many years as well. I have the original, the sheer, the hydra rescue, and the powder. Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on all the new fabulous foundations, but I cannot find a shade match in any of them no matter how many shades they have. Watching all these videos is giving me fomo 😂. I find I can sheer out the double wear as needed. I haven't tried the new serum version yet, I might try it out. My shade is pebble.

So back in 2017 when I first got married I used the Sephora mist airbrush foundation. What a throwback! Dior at the time just didn’t have a good shade for me. After watching your videos I thought I’d go back and try Armani luminous silk again and oh my goodness. It’s beautiful. When I was younger I just couldn’t make it look good! Now I feel like I can smooth it over my skin even with my hands and it’s just lovely! So glad I tried it and got it during the sale!!

You are my favorite educational makeup RU-vid channel. I have been using KVD serum foundation for almost a year now. It's definitely my favorite I have ever used. I was thrilled to see how happy you were with it when you first tried it. I haven't tried some of the others you love yet. I'm finally going makeup shopping next week. Thank you for this summary. I’ve rewatched the full video and sections of it several times. I don’t even need a new foundation! I like the fact you’ve summarized everything. I love the Guerlain foundation! I find that I prefer it applied with a sponge than a brush bc it looks more airbrushed on me that way, but it looks beautiful applied with a brush as well. I highly recommend it!

La Mer is my favorite foundation of all time. I don’t like the price but I buy it when I get the $100 voucher for my 2500 points at Sephora or at Nordstom with nordy notes. It is the best on my 56 yr old dry skin. I’ve been using it for the past 5 years or so. Glad you included it.

I got a sample of the Dior Glow this week and tried it on in 90 degree weather. It looked so surprisingly beautiful; I usually wear mattes because it gets 122 degrees here and I have combo oily skin. It got a little “glowy” while I was pumping gas but once inside, perfect again. And Estée Lauder is indeed the OG. I’m waiting on a good sale to repurchase it.

I LOOOVED Dior Airbrush foundation when it hyped, which when discontinued is why I gave the other Dior foundations a go... I think backstage and forever are very similar formulas to it ( a little diff but still similar traits) I am so glad you mentioned them as I don't feel like anyone ever does... They're SO underrated! Estee Lauder Double Wear I think I've been wearing for... 17 years at this point. it's still the one I wear on the daily for work, I wore it for my wedding, I am a musician prone to getting sweaty on stage and I need something that wont fail me... Even if my oils come through it just looks luminous but never oily. It just never ever fails me. I am an oily girl... I would love to know what you prime and set with for Oily skin when using Armani Luminous silk, because the wear time on it for me isn't great and I end up looking like a grease ball... I just can't get longevity out of it on my skin - so would love to know what you use in conjunction with it. I also find Fenty Soft Matte foundation to be VERY similar to Double Wear ☺ I haven't got my hands on the Lady Gaga one yet! I can't wait! a little harder to find in Australia though... Thanks for the great vids ☺

I have loved the Armani Power Fabric for years and tend to mix it with other foundations (like the La Mer or Guerlain) to add a tiny bit more coverage to it. Love your channel - thank you for all the recommendations, tips & tricks ~

I went from loving my power fabric to the luminous silk even though I’m a true oily skin. I guess my skin IS changing as I’m getting older. Absolutely love it. It could be that it also is not summer yet 😆😆 we will see. I sample the HL and loved it too.

I'm 73 with normal, slightly oily skin. My favorites are Haus Labs, Luminous Silk, Nars Radiant (the newest one) something. I think must try the Terracotta.

Great list for sure. I’m actually really surprised no Shiseido self refreshing in the video. My favorite foundation was the Dior Airflash. Nothing will ever top that for me. The shiseido is close tho.

What a great video! Have decided finally to try mainline foundations. I’ve been wearing Cinema Secrets professional foundation for almost 30 years- truly is 2nd skin and full coverage. I’ve also used RCMA cream, Graftobian and even William Tuttle so for me to delve into mainline foundations is a big deal. As a makeup artist, you know the brands I have been talking about. Wonder why no one except maybe Wayne Goss ever mentions them? All that said -curious which one(s) of these foundations you mentioned I should try. Sephora sale always a good time to experiment.I am mature with dry skin.

Great video! I liked Nars sheer glow and thought I’d try their new to me light reflecting one, meh! Returned it. I had them color match me and yet it was way too warm and don’t get me started on the pump. I really like KVD good apple for travel and they don’t have it in stores by me. I love the Dior too.

Is there any reason you would recommend ELDW when other newer more dynamic foundations like Dior 24hr and KVD have the same or better longevity but a more skin like finish? What is it about Estée Lauder DW that makes it worth buying if you could buy one of the others?

Thank you for the videos. Will you consider answering follower questions? I love the Dior Backstage Face and Body but that one and ALL foundations get shiny in me. I am older (54) with an oily t-zone but would not say I have oily skin, yet still I battle this. I powder but with talc free powders (Laura Mercier talc free, Makeup Forever, etc). Matte foundations look too aging and they ALSO do not stay matte. Advice?

I’m really considering the good apple foundation. I have combo oily and need full coverage and something matte that lasts. I have the Estée Lauder double wear, but it doesn’t look as good as it used to. Interested in nars as well bc I don’t break out from any of their products. Also tried mac again recently and wondered why I stopped using it bc it looked so great. So… I’m a little stuck

What am I doing wrong with the guerlain? I find it makes me look old, emphasis fine lines, collects in smile lines, shows up pores and emphasis my hyperpigmentation. I’ve tried different SPFS underneath, I’ve tried different primers, nothing I do makes this look nice. I want to get the Armani but I would have to order online as it’s not available where I live but I don’t want to waste more money.

Sometimes don't work for everybody, it was for me with Nars Light Reflecting one, i love all their other foundations but this one horrible , i was super dissapointed.

TBH I have about half of these foundations. Recently within the past 6 months I’ve been mixing the Maybelline skim tint with the Loreal one and dare I say I like it out of all the others… 🫣 The finish and longevity is just crazy! I get more compliments using this combination than anything else I’ve ever used. 🤷🏼‍♀️

But I have used Dior forever matte and the ester lauder double wear and they last all day and my skin looks great but I’ve been wanting to try the Luminous silk. Would that work for someone with my skin type? Would it last in Florida humidity lol. Appreciate anyone’s opinions since the Sephora sale ends tomorrow
