The progression of this show is hilarious. At the beginning of the Voice, judges are encouraging other judges to hit their buzzers, now it's, don't you dare hit that buzzer 😂😂
My heart breaks to see Christina Grimmie. What an incredible talent - snuffed out by a mad man. She made a big impression in her short life. RIP. I'll tell you what - We McDonald - OH. MY. GAWD! She absolutely crushed it!! Such a powerful voice!
I got sad when Christina Grimmie came on. It took me back during that time, watching her rise in her career and then suddenly hearing about her passing. I always remembered how much she loved her mother.
Everytime I see her performance I feel so hurt , She's an awesome singer but sadly she didnt last to share her talents coz of that selfish monster 😥😢💔💔
@Fresca ! - The one thing that puzzles me, if America is "THE LAND of the FREE" then why does everybody, (almost), - NEED a GUN, - or, at least access to one.
@@christopherlovelock9104 If history tells us anything, it's that the people need to be able to protect themselves. We are free people with free thoughts and the freedom to protect ourselves from anyone who impedes on that freedom.
You know Christina is gonna come up when you are going down that 3am The Voice rabbit hole and you aren't gonna be ready for it, both the talent and the tragedy
@@Eddy6159 So someone that murders another human isn’t a psychopath/sociopath? I know any other rational and logical thinking human would never think to kill someone, so I am Magine that dude’s diagnosis up there is pretty accurate
I can never understand why none of these people (RIP Christina) has ever made it big. The talent that appears on The Voice is so much better than many recording stars today.
Because the record label they get signed to (Republic) doesn't really promote them. Some of the singers are pretty popular in niche audiences (i.e. Cassadee Pope in country, Jesse Campbell in gospel, Chris Mann in Broadway) but overall there's not enough push to the mainstream audience by the label.
Jesse Campbell & Javier Colon were both R&B artists in the 90's, early 2000's and signed to major labels and had mild success. I owned music from both. Judith backed Michael and released music before The Voice. You can't change destiny. Sad to say that as talented as they are, superstardom isn't in the cards and that's OK.....not really but unfortunately, it's reality.

He also happens to be one of the nicest guys in the Voice history - goes to my church and is on the worship team there. He's such a wonderful inspiration to how fame doesn't have to change who you are as a person.

Song Byrrd I wish they had a Steal back then he could’ve won the whole thing with another coach, I don’t know what happened between him and Christina Aguilera his coach but she did him wrong.
@@honorarysnowbunny omg I just loved her creep over the stage. Am sure Blake is mad he didn't see the performances from the beginning especially when she took the knee. rip Team Grimmie Rawks
Christina had an awesome voice and would ha e gone far if that #$&@$!! hadn't shot and killed her. Her music lives on in RU-vid, I listen to her a lot. I think she sang Wrecking Ball better than Miley. Rest easy Christina... You are loved and missed. I cried just now watching her sing Wrecking Ball. She was fantastic, she was so full of music.... what a waste, so young and beautiful. She is missed.....
I miss JHUD as a judge. I loved her so much. Her and her shoe throwing. lol. I also really miss Adam. To me Blake and him kept me watching for so many years. Their bickering was hilarious xD
Hearing “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” right after Christina Grimmie’s audition, which always makes me cry now when I watch it, was especially rough. 😭 What a beautiful light we lost way too soon. 😢
Right?? She's phenomenal. In another league. Blue Bayou is a really hard song and she nails it. So impressive. And she can sing anything. (Hence why she won. Lol)
@@catc6050 I do find a lot of same gendered judges (same gender as the contestant) to play more hard to get, maybe they're weighing their talent with their own.
@@mynameisabe905 I agree. Although this time I think Christina was just trying to play hard to get. Then about 20 seconds in, she threw up her hands in defeat and pushed her button lol
Judith Hill gave me chills. I’m so glad that this show and 20 Feet From Stardom gave her more exposure. She still deserves to be more popular than she is
@James, Omg!! She gave me chill, I honestly thought she was lip-synching but, my goodness, I watched her almost 109 times, she is an excellent and announced singer.🥰
I never see Tessanne Chin on any of these compilations and yet she got a 4 chair turn within the first couple seconds of her performance and she won that season. Big up Jamaica!
R.I.P to Christina Grimmie such a beautiful singer. A soul gone to soon. Every time I see this Voice blind audition I can’t help but be inspired by her voice and emotional that well never get to hear more of the music she would’ve made and impact she would’ve had on our lives. ❤️ forever young
WHEN I READ THAT CHRISTINA HAD BEEN TAKEN "HOME" IT BROKE MY HEART, THE PASSION, THE TALENT AND NATURAL GIFT SHE SHOWED THE WORLD WAS BREATHTAKING. CHRISTINA, I WISH I COULD HAVE MET YOU. WE SHALL MEET IN HEAVEN, BABY GIRL. BEV FROM VIRGINIA...
Same here. She was such an inspiration to me since I was a teenager. I’m still heartbroken she was taken from us. She had so much more life to live and talent to share with us. It’s not fair.
I LOVE that little extra bit of confidence each performer gets when they see the first one of the chairs turning and u can see the pure bliss in their face.
Christina Grimmie still breaks me when I come across her time on the voice such a tragic loss. Such a great singer lost by such senseless violence. R.I.P. Cristina you are very sorely missed.
I'm a 50 year old man and every time I see Christina Grimmie's performance I still get choked up.. enjoyed her music before she even went on this show.
We need an All-Stars or Champions season for the Voice! It would be nice to see some of these artists face off against each other and with new/old coaches- my ideal coach line up for this season would be (Blake, Christina, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson & Pharrell). I have been gone from The Voice since 2017 and I would definitely be opening to coming back if the show adopted the All-Stars or Champions format
I love Blue Bayou as well. Linda Ronstadt's and Roy Orbison's versions are stellar as well. I also love Linda singing with Aaron Neville the song Don't Know Much.
Great 4-chair turns, but you left out the best one: Jordan Smith, who went on to win season 9, and has sold more records than any winner after leaving The Voice.
I got all the emotions back when I saw Christina Grimmie's performance. Such an inspiration, rest in peace and sing with the angels with your beautiful voice!
17:06 WOW, I love Valerie Ponzio’s cover of Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash! I’ve never heard it performed like this before, it sounds amazing. She has a beautiful, smooth, smoky tone to her voice.
WHY are none of these comments talking about the effortless performance Javier Colon gave at the beginning. That man is smiling throughout the whole performance! That rasp, the tone, the everything. Ugh... I've given this video at least 100,000 of the total views, just because of him.
India Carney. My god her transitions are amazing. And we McDonald. Damn such a bit voice for someone so young. This makes me feel happy while isolating
I'll be honest, I mostly watched this video because I was prepared to be angry if Matthew Schuler wasn't chosen for his season. Thank you for being correct on that score. Still one of the most tragic early eliminations.
I'm literally crying watching Christina Grimmie's audition because I feel like she was robbed of having the chance to show the world how great of an artist she really could've been.
@@wynottgivemore9274 Boys to Men, wrote this song, because they were inspired, by the death of their friend and band mate. The song says "it's so hard to say goodbye" Blake lost his younger brother in a car accident. Proud of you for at least asking and not assuming/believing some ridiculous rumor, that Hollywood/TMZ always seem to ignore the true reasons and make up their own version to make the story more juicy🙄
Wow ! Wow! Alisan Porter I got chills watching her and those perfect notes all the way through.I received her energy, emotions and heart felt. Just amazing completely...
I miss Christina Grimmie so much. She was such an inspiration to me growing up for so many years before she went on the show. I’m still heartbroken she was taken from us. She had so much more life to live and talent to share with us. It’s not fair. She was going to go so far. 💔
