Hi there! Judging from how close the road appears in your video, I figure you've missed the exact spot of the Wedding Party rock formation but just grazed its northern fringes... I'm going to check out the place in the fall and will then see if you were right or I am... ;)
Hi there, Rob & Christy. Very pleased to see your Channel exploring Black Mesa State Park and surrounding area. I made my first trip there from the Lubbock, Texas area in August, 1973 and 2 other trips; May,1974 and July,1974. Hope you also went to Kenton, Okla. (if so, was there still an old store that is filled with relics just like a Museum. In 1973, the store was still being run by a 90-year old man. Seemed like you were transported back in time to many ages by just walking through the front door! Fantastic place! Did y’all have time to explore the Mesa top for Dinosaur fossils? I was very fortunate to discover 2 different types of fossils; Cat paws prints in hardened stone and a Plant or Bone print on a rock! If this sounds interesting to you, I would like to send the pictures to y’all; if you don’t mind giving me your Email info. Look forward to seeing more videos! Keep Safe & Healthy!!
