This video is a great example of why people who disdain freeware are not using their ears... music is made for ears, which don't care how much you spend on a plugin ;)
I think in some cases free software synths can be better than a paid equivalent, Mr Ray was my first e piano VST, you can easily adjust things like how the tines sound and it does respond slightly differently depending on velocity. Organized Trio was in fact the very first freeware VST I ever downloaded.
Yeah, both those are pretty amazing for free! Have to admit the Redtron is my favourite. I think it's just as good as the paid-for ones - you may not have the full selection of sounds that the paid-for libraries give you, but all the key ones are there.
Hello and Thanks for a great video! I can't get redtron to play in my cantabile solo host never had any problems with .dll files before but a prompt popping up saying some content missing and I can't figure out where to put the other file that goes with the .dll I put both in steinberg/vst but that didn't work. Any help please. Thank you, Dave
Hmm... not sure about that. It is a 32-bit app, so may have some problems. I've just realized that the link I put in the description was to a different Artifakes product (I've corrected that now). You may have better luck with the other versions they have, which are single-file dlls, without the subfolder containing the sound files. You can find them at: www.mediafire.com/file/bf8elvbik4yss2e/RedTron_400.dll/file www.mediafire.com/file/mmejlqwadzz/Redtron_MKV.dll/file Maybe they will work!
@@melaniekeller246 The vst4free website has moved to www.plugins4free.com but they are all still free, as far as I can see! VST Host and the two GSi VSTs are donationware but they will still work fine in free mode with a nag screen that disappears after about 30 seconds. Skip the links to the home page for each one and scroll down until you get to the Download button. I've just updated the links and tried them all and they all seem to work for me :-)
Not as far as I know! Think it's based around a riff I used to play for a Chic song when I was showbanding, but nothing concrete springs to mind! Thanks for the comment though :-)
hi thank you so much, can you please tell me why i can not find these downloaded vsts when i try to rescan for new vsts? they are there next to omnisphere which is in my vst folder ive created, but cant seem to pop into ableton. thank u for ur time
Hi there - sorry, no, I don't have any idea why they wouldn't show up. I'm not that technically-minded, tbh; I was running these things in that little standalone VST Host, and have never tried loading them into a DAW. You may be better off picking the minds of some Ableton users, who probably have a lot more knowledge than me! Best of luck :-)
Hey! this happened to me in FL studio today! Try and create separate folders for each plug in, and then add them as a folder for you daw to scan, perhaps this will work with you! At least it did the job for me!
If you mean on the MiniMogue, they're patches 69-71, though you can turn any mono patch into a poly one using the Poly/Mono switch in the CONTROL section on the left side of the front panel.
@@billyruss i mean the sound you used on the timestamp you've provided in the descriptions🙂btw thanks for responding❤even though Im a little bit late Haha😂
@@ihhZ691 Ah... I'm not sure I can even recall how I made them! If they're not in the soundset of the synth then I must have been playing around with some of the presets, but I honestly can't remember which. Sorry about that!
