Seriously like the nicest human on the planet lol we need more people in the world like this fella lol. Thanks for the great freezer review! It was really helpful! God bless!
Little projects like these give so much satisfaction. A little bit of work and though to make something you use all the time a little more functional. Good job.
I purchased little plastic baskets, that had holes in the sides for good air flow, to use in my freezer. They keep things well organized. I also saw videos where people make inventory lists on that is in their freezer, so they can tell what they have with out opening the freezer and hunting around so much. Helps to keep the cold in too.
Thats good idea to make to shelf fronts. And old totes are a great idea. I have a chest freezer and ive been thinking about getting a new one. And when i was a kid my parents had an upright like that. And remember always picking stuff up that slide out. Problem solved. Glass or metal shelves. Merry Christmas and god bless.
Thanks man! I need me one of these to put my deer meat I’m planning to harvest with my Christensen Mesa 7 mag like yours! Haha, I recognize you brother! Great vid!
I hope you have continued successful deer hunts. Deer hunting is big here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. God Bless from one Christian brother to another!
@@vameathunter2771 I no longer hunt. My last hunt was a success. It was a nice 8 pointer. It involves a long story which I won't bore you with. I now feed them along with about 40 wild turkeys in my back yard. Being a month away from 70 years old means it's time to slow down. Happy Thanksgiving!
Can you please make a video on how you create the front holder for both freezer and how you put it on in details. My husband is not a handy man at all.
We ordered a GE 21 cubit upright freezer with metal shelves from Sears in March and it did not get delivered until May 6th BUT they gave us a smaller less expensive freezer with glass shelves and plastic drawers. They are supposed to come back to get it May 10th.
I'm torn between an upright and a chest freezer. The only thing the upright has going for it is that I imagine I'd be able to put a hook in the top to hang a whole deer from to age it before butchering. Do you think that's actually possible?
No, and you should age the deer in the refrigerator temperature for 10-15 days not freezer. I had chest freezer before and it hard to organize or find the meat you need. Merry Christmas n God bless your family.
Hi there VA Meat Hunter. Is it possible to show how you created/installed the smaller freezer shelves. I think it's a marvelous idea, but was unsure as to how you went about creating them. I loved the video, thank you!
On my other smaller freezer with steel shelves, I cut the steel tools shelves to the length of the freezer shelves and put it upside down so I have the lip to hold the food and zipped tied it to freezer wire shelves. I hope this explains it.
@@vameathunter2771 Excellent, you are the best. I appreciate you taking the time for this explanation. You made it easy. After seeing the video (again) I saw how you converted these shelves! Great job!
I have noticed your freezer you can’t make adjustments in height on your shelves, some freezers you purchase you can adjust your shelves about every 4 to 6 inches
Hunter, do you have any issues with your freezer? I’m in the market for an upright freezer please share all of your negatives about the freezer. I came across a few freezers online they’re having problems with the fans and the motors freezing up. Please respond as soon as possible I have some wild game to pick up, if you know what I mean
Meat freezes better in chest freezers. The more you pack it in from top to bottom, the less electricity you use and the less freezer burn you have. Upright freezers are better for not forgetting what various products you have and are more accessible to access multiple things. You have a lot of open space that can cause freezer burn. Hopefully, you will eat it quickly. Deer meat is the best. God bless.
Do you have a link where you got the totes to cut up? Is it the sterilite 116 qt? Im also wondering if the 105 qt has the same size at the bottom where you cut because they are considerably cheaper?
I think I bought it at Targets few years back and since I had it empty, I just cut it to fit😂. It's best to measure the freezer inside diameter and buy the one that is the right size.
Do you have the two freezer’s in the same wall outlet? Are you using an extension cord? I’ve been told that you couldn’t use two large appliance on one outlet. Please tell me your setup
@@vameathunter2771 can you tell me the model name of the extension cord? I might have to use only one outlet with my setup. Is there a reason why you used an extension cord and not used both on same outlet? Thanks and I love this video..
@@marine0816 I didn't wanted to use outlet with gfci breaker. If gfci breaker turns off the outlet, you are going to defrost the whole freezer without you knowing it. It's always better to use two outlets for 2 major appliance because even the outlet without gfci breaker can be turn off by breaker in breaker box. You could use any heavy duty extension cord with 3 prongs like this on from Homedepot www.homedepot.com/p/Tripp-Lite-6-ft-14-Gauge-15-Amp-Heavy-Duty-Power-Extension-Cord-P024-006/308848527
Could you not just measure and buy the size tote that the whol thing would fit on the shelves that way you could just pull out each individual tote and go through get out what you want or need then put the tote back in?
