You can do either but on the high layer you are mainly working on just textures and no colors.

If anyone is wondering you can easily load the LUTS into photoshop to switch between them easily! Close Photoshop, open your computers hard drive, go to applications, then photoshop, then presets, then you should see LUTS, all you have to do is copy the .cube LUTS into there and then once you launch photoshop they should show up in the drop down! much quicker that way

Can you tell me why I am getting an actual color when I work on the high frequency layer. Low frequency works fine.. At least I can see the difference in what I am doing but I don't understand why the HF is not working right... I know it's user error... Help please...
