I came back to this video to really appreciate your tip on using the inverse check layer. I've used it and the results are amazing!! I'm almost no longer using frequency separation anymore! This is stuff we should pay for!
Mind blown. I attempted learning and just understanding dodge and burn before only to be confused or still not certain on the process. This video has cleared it up. Thank you. Definitely going to invest in your retouching essentials pack. 🙌🏾
Prince Meyson: "It would probably get about 1k views, that's the annoying thing about youtube". hmmmm..... e shock you? lol. 43k views. Really helpful tutorial.
Wanna save time? Make two brush presets. One white, soft 50% brush. Make another preset using black, soft 50% brush. Since I usually use the dodge/lighten curves layer first, I made an action that creates both of the curves layer, but at the end select the white brush preset you made and then end the action on the mask for the dodge/ lighten layer. That way you dont have to constantly keep selecting a brush, setting the opacity and softness everytime you run the dodge and burn action. I know it seems like minimal time savings but if you spend allot of time retouching it adds up over time. I also have a simple action that makes a white mask, but I end the action by having it select the black brush preset. Saves time. Same when I run the action to make a black mask. The action also selects the white brush preset. Simple but it just takes out the drudgery of having to constantly select and adjust the correct brush everytime you make a mask or run the dodge and burn action.
I just picked up your Pro Retouching Essentials Pack. I can see already that they are going to greatly improve my workflow. Well worth the purchase price. I figured I've gotten enough free info from you and it was time support your channel beside liking and subscribing. Peace to you Sir!
Prince Meyson I’ve noticed that as you use your brush, the size of it changes without you having to stop using it and adjust it. How do you keep changing the size as you brush your subject?
Hey man, I love your videos but I also hate it when you can't help when I am stuck. HOW DO I CREATE THE INVERSE CHECK LAYER PLS. So many have also asked this question but you've not replied
Learning on RU-vid is paying attention and figuring things out not trying to call out somebody who owes you nothing and is just doing this because he loves it With that out of the way if you payed attention you’ll see it’s just a simple gradient map that is inverted
Just look at photoshop sometimes and figure things out stop calling people who are out here helping out. It’s not easy creating content I do it because I love it Thank you
@@PrinceMeyson and now you've replied. I actually got it figured out already. But then, hearing from you means a lot. Thank you for your creative mentoring.
@@PrinceMeyson You do it because it's a way of earning. Stop sugarcoating it with "love" Also, we get it. You purposely didn't explain what the invert check layer actually is, so that people would buy your ps actions.
Hello and how are you? Please is there a way i can get retouch academy software setup in any way.....I really want to purchase it very badly but hope i get a cool discount.
