American Pollo Campero is trash but when a relative comes back from Central America with a box of that original.... I'm fighting everyone for that last piece!
I only had it when I lived outside of Atlanta but it was some delicious "trash". Way better than American fried chicken. So seasoned & crunchy. Gosh my mouth water thinking about it.
Yeah, it originated from Guatemala, but El Salvador made it popular. Campestre is the bomb now! I bought both and tried both while visiting and hands down, Campestre made it so much better now.
Pollo Campero originated in Guatemala 🇬🇹💙. Everytime my family comes from Guate they bring some. Nothing compares to the taste. And when you visit Gaute it's a must to eat there🤤💙.
It’s actually from Guatemala and got distributed in Central America. It’s so bomb, but it’s better in Guatemala, very natural and the flavors are unique

Pollo campero is from Guatemala! But they do have it in other Central American countries ❤️ mi esposo es de Guatemala! They have one in Anaheim. When abuelita comes she brings us chicken from Guatemala 😂👏🏼

Yovani Teo Guatemala has all of them really. Go there and you’ll find tacos everywhere, pupusas everywhere (in some regions it’s called tayuyos or pishtones) and plátano is a staple, for breakfast, snack or dessert.
DR has Mangu lol I’m Guatemalan 🇬🇹 and my boyfriend is Dominican 🇩🇴 And they are known for their Mangu. It is AMAZING!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Dominican food is SO underrated!! I love Dominican 🇩🇴food and Guatemalan🇬🇹 food. 😏😌

Guatemalan pollo Campero it’s the most famous fast food chain of Guatemala but doesn’t feel like a fast food chain because since their first restaurant in Guatemala they try to give the full restaurant experience, the pollo camperos at USA don’t compare the quality of taste and everything like the pollo camperos from Guatemala 🇬🇹 it’s just way different

I love pollo campero my friend introduced me, I also like Popeyes. I think I like pollo campero for better their sides, the maduros, the rice, beans etc. Pollo campero is also the closest thing thought not even close to chicharrones de pollo from Puerto Rico.
For the years when we go to El Salvador for the week of Thanksgiving, going to Pollo on Thanksgiving day is a tradition for us and an event at the restaurants. Most of the Pollo’s in San Salvador actually decorate for the holiday, and we find ourselves surrounded by other American families watching football on their tv’s and enjoying a Salvadoran thanksgiving. The last time we had to make reservations as eating at Pollo on that Thursday has started to become an event even in San Salvador.
I love Pollo Campero as an afrolatina, but for my african american side I have to say black americans DOMINATE FRIED CHICKEN PERIODT! But I love Pollo Campero is REALLY GOOD!
