I tried a cheap fuel injector cleanr from Good Year. It worked perfectly!! My car had rough idle, unstable RPM and everything disappeared after using the injector cleaner.
I am a huge Lucas fan...slightly better gas mileage on our 2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring L with 170,000 kms but with all the moisture (ethanol) in cheaper gas, I historically buy/run the highest octane Shell gas here in Canada. I know, I know it is controversial. Works for me.
In have been using Lucas oil for a few months now and honestly haven't noticed any change. I tried seafoam and it actually worked better but heard that it can dry gaskets and cause leaking.
The Sea Foam fuel injector cleaner gave me gave me an extra 3 or 4 more Mpg's. I used the entire little bottle in about 10 gallons of gas. I really had no expectations and I couldn't believe what my car was saying
my rx8 engine start problem, thinking possibly Low compression issue. try liqui moly cleaner 75% fuel - 1 bottle. check engine light on. after next start feel different , next fuel up check light gone and thousand dollar problem solved.. start like piston car dooo....
Be careful with Berrymans it has acetone. Acetone is what they put in fingernail polish. Use any top tier gasoline and you won’t need fuel injector cleaners. Just Google top tier gasolines and that will show you the gasoline stations that have top tier. They are monitored by the government
Depends on what you're trying to correct. Overall performance I've seen Techron do a great job, if you suspect dirty injectors and valves then I'd say LiquiMoly
What do you think I should use for 2013 Nissan Maxima , today is my second time using Lucas but ehhh do you have another suggestion. I also have stopped using 87 a few fill ups ago but my car sounds louder since I been cleaning it😢
I use Lucas in my boats, Harleys, and vehicles for 30+ years. I never had any issues. Only better results. Maybe the Lucas cleaned up an amount through the exhaust that the cleaning triggered a CAT code. Nissan with over 150k miles are notorious for downstream cat codes.
