I have watched over 10 videos today regarding these two headphones, and this review was leagues above anything that I have ever seen, everything is so structured and well put.
@@MyTechGearGaming but so is the hyper x tho. Its for competitive gameplay. But i think you can get the same comp effect from logitech. Way more versatile .
I have hyperx cloud alpha S newer model than this ones and all hyperx have same issue having mic so low people complaing they cant hear you no matter what changing u do they on 100% mic even on discord 200% not even with newest firmware or hyperx ngenuity still so low so you will be forced to use some sort of 3rd party software to boost ur mic than the other issue will come along which is hearing ur keyboard over mic boost... so my advice will be go for logitech g pro x as they have Blue Voice Technology with more equalizers than hyperx
I did a mic test of both of them (which you can see in the video), and whilst the G Pro's were more sensitive than the HyperX's, it certainly wasn't a significant as you're saying. Have a look at the video and you'll see what I mean. Yes, the Alpha S and the G Pro X are newer, and the next level up in headset performance, but they're also more expensive. I did cover this near the end of the video. The only real difference between the 'X' and non X version of the G Pro is that Blue Voice feature. However, that's only available on the PC as it's all available through software. So it depends on your use case as to whether it's worth the upgrade or not. Hope that's helped everyone and that's to Ivica for his insights. It's great to see others giving their opinions on these headsets.
i wasent sure if i would buy the Hyper X headphones but after watching this video i think i will. thank you for making this video. keep up the good work! 😊
Amazing video .i was confused in between alpha and alpha pro for weeks but after reading your replies to comments i came to know that they were same.and i was wandering if alphs were gud for pubgm .you solved my two queries in single video. Thank u so much.god bless u.now only problem i have now is money😂
It’s not due to the size of the ear pads but the quality that means they seal well so in turn it will get hotter but I’ve had both hyperX clouds the alphas and the cloud ll and they are both amazing quality, comfort, and sound they are an all around solid headset, the mic is great and the customer service is great as well and that is always a major plus! Oh yeah and my headset came with a dongle which is strange that yours did not I think most come with a usb dongle now days!
Some models come with a USB dongle. Some don't. It depends on exactly what model you buy. The Alpha S model for instance dies come with a 7.1 USB dongle, whilst the standard Alpha's do not.
Wow. I really enjoyed this video because I'm debating which headset to buy myself for my birthday next week and since it's black friday here in Canada is say it's the perfect time. The headset I want more would be the logitech pro g because they look good enough to also wear outside for my cellphone so I can shovel the snow. But the hyper x are in sale right now for only 84.99$ and the logitech are 129.99$ and never seen them on sale. So I don't know. Next time you make a two item review video maybe it's a good idea to actually pick one over the other. But if you choose. Choose wisely.
So basically with one of these two are the best when we are talking about all footsteps in the bedding or no matter how far are the enemies you can't hear them very probably exactly we're the are?
The thing is everything platform including windows have their own virtual surround sound 7.1 so why spend the extra money. Games like Valorant actually tell you to switch virtual surround off since it's in game.
My logitech G Pro came yesterday but they were faulty, the mic would not get picked up no matter what i tried.... i looked up online and a lot of other people had the same issues as have i so i returned it for a HyperX Alpha S which will be arriving soon!
Hope you have better luck with the next headset. The alpha S is largely the same model as the Alphas, they jut have a few additional features such as 7.1 surround and a variable bass port slider on the ear cups.
I have a really good question, so I've had and been using hyperx cloud core for 7 years now which screams durability to me and i want to buy a new headset cz its just worn out by now. I never had an issue with it and i like both the Logitech g pro x and the hyperx cloud alpha but judging from what people are saying that the logitech is less durable and it breaks immediately and based on my experience with hyper x cloud core that the hyper x are so durable. Which one would u think i should go for based on what i stated, mind that i like a bit of change but im scared of durability sakes nothing more. Good video btw
Glad you enjoyed the video. It sounds like you’ll be more comfortable with what you already know, which is a HyperX headset. From a durability perspective I’ve personally had no problem with either.
Lucky indeed! 😀 glad you enjoyed the video, and welcome to the channel to my 1000 subscriber! Huge milestone for me, and thanks for being a part of it! 🥳🍻🎉
i don't know how wider frequency range in headphones would be any advantage, when human ear can't hear anything above ~20kHz and below ~20Hz in perfect situation, most people have thighter range.
It depends on what you value most. Sound quality? Software? Sound Isolation? If prices are equal, and you're on a PC, then generally the logitech are better as they have more features to offer through their PC software. If one is significantly cheaper than the other, just get the cheaper one. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.
I recently bought the cloud alphas and ever since I got the headsets. There’s an echo coming from my headset every time I’m unmuted idk if it’s the headset or my controller that’s causing it. Someone help me
Full quote - "especially for first person shooters like fortnite, valorant, or apex" - I got 2 our of 3! 😉 Feel free to mentally block fortnite from your memory (I know I do! 😁)
Those holes help keep the headset lighter. Doesn’t impact the integrity of the headset at all. They are a solid pair of headphones. Certainly a lot sturdier than many other headsets in the market that only use plastic bands.
The cloudx is built specifically for the XBox. The cloud 2 is more generic and comes with a 7.1 sound card. However, its sound isn't as good as the cloud alpha's and doesn't come with a detachable audio cable. I would say that both are a tier down from the headsets reviewed in this video. Hope that helps.
You can't change the mic profile on the G Pro headphones that are the ones in this video. You can change the mic if you upgraded and bought the G Pro X headphones instead though.
Personally I don't rate the surround sound, but the Blue voice software you get with the G Pro X is good. Only works if you use it on a PC though so just depends what you're going to use it with. Nice headphones though and I do recommend them as an upgrade option in the video.
Depends on how close the fan is and how noisy it is. I did do a keyboard noise test between them to see which picked up the key taps the most and it was pretty much neck and neck. There's no discernable difference between them. They both do a good job of ensuring that your voice is easily heard over any background noise. Hope that helps.
I got the hypercloud lls yday. Super dissappointed, not a good headset for games like for say Call of Duty Warzone 2. The bass and the ambient noise is way to loud, specially with shooting or things blowing up covering all other sounds like footsteps etc. My G35 Logitech broke and thought I would get the hypers, sent them back and ordered G Pro X now.
You don't really need to tell left and right with that mic sticking out and you will quickly learn on which side the cable stays (when the mic is detached)
That foam cover on the mic is an instant target for my monkey. He has destroyed dozens WHILE I WAS WEARING THEM without me noticing. The mic sounded EXACTLY the same to me in your demo. Made the mistake of buying the Audio-technica headphones, which cost more than the ones in your review, and the plastic attached to the pads that go against your scalp both BROKE within 2 weeks. The "3.5" headphone jack was so undersized it disconnects constantly. Zero support from that company. I think I like the Logitech in this video. :) Checked the link and the price haven't gone down a bit.
your comment made my day! First time I've heard of a mic being destroyed by a monkey! 😂 Both the G Pro's and the Cloud Alpha's go on sale every now and again. Both were only $69 earlier this year (the alpha's are actually still this price on amazon amzn.to/3tPm9GN ) which I posted on my community tab to help people out. Just keep an eye out, especially with the holiday season just round the corner, and I'm sure they'll come back on sale.
I haven't tested the Razer yet so can't comment. From looking at other reviews though I would say that it's a close call between them. If it's something that enough people are interested in though, then I'll go buy a pair and do a review for you. Watch the community tab on my channel as I'll be doing some polls on what people want to see next.
Hello. I main on playing league of legend and I just need a headphone can provide good voice for I can talk with my friends and listening to music. What is your advice from that two
You'll have more customisation over the sound on a PC with the Logitech G Pro's through their G Hub software, so I'd probably go with those. If you want to customise the mic too, then I'd say upgrade to the G Pro X headphones. Hope that all helps. Let me know which one you end up getting.
Do you know which one fits a bigger or longer head? I currently use a similar HyperX Cloud headset and it just barely fits making it a bit uncomfortable.
There's not difference size wise between them tbh. I would say that the g pro has slightly larger earcups so would be better for bigger ears but it also has more clamping force than the hyperx. Hope that helps.
HI @Wafel, There are mic tests in this video at 8.27 for both of these headsets so you can hear what each one sounds like and then pick the one that you like the sound of the best.
So the more impedance of the alphas mean more volumen? I need louder headset because my current ones are too quite (32ohms). Also u think they would work plugged into my Logitech USB card From my current headset in the PS4?
The higher the impedance the more power it takes to driver the speakers, and so the quieter the headphones are at the same power input level. Generally the higher the impedance the higher the quality of the headphones too though, so it's a trade-off. Both of these will run fine off your PC or console though but the G Pro's will run louder due to the lower impedance that they need to run. If the USB card already works with your PS4 and a pair of headphones already, then either of these should work with it too. Hope that all helps. Happy gaming! 😊
❤❤❤ great review. I'd love to know your opinion for playing single player story games like FC5, AC Origins, Contol etc for HyperX cloud 2 vs Logitech G pro X?X?
Glad you liked the review. I don't think the Cloud 2 and the Pro X are a fair comparison as they come in at different price points. You'd be better off comparing the Alpha S vs the Pro X or the Cloud III (successor to the Cloud II) against something like the Razer Blackshark v2. There's so much to choose from out there! 😁 I don't think I'd pick the HyperX's in either of those comparisons. Hope that helps.
@@MyTechGearGaming omg, you made my day. So how do you feel about JUST HyperX cloud 2 in general for playing story sound. I don't too much about enemies footsteps. I just want to feel the game.
I think there’s better headsets. The Cloud Alphas are better and are actually cheaper on Amazon atm. Alternatively the Logitech g pro x are only a little bit more and if you use a pc come with the software that gives you a lot of customisation over the sound.
All gaming headsets do it pretty much as they compress the audio. The alternative would be the headsets picking up every little piece of audio around you, which isn't ideal.
The Cloud Alphas are slightly better than the Cloud 2's. The detachable audio cable on the Cloud alphas is a noticeable difference and the build quality feels better. The Bose QC20's are in ear headphones and are therefore a completely different proposition for a completely different use case. You really can't compare them. It depends what you want the headphones for as to which are the best fit.
The hyperx will be better if you're using it solely for mobile. Neither are 7.1. Most headsets with 7.1 support rely on a USB adapter in order to do that, which won't work with your phone.
hyper x cloud alpha is a but better and definitely the newer alpha s is better, the Logitech g prox is still amazing but hyper x cloud alpha is just better in my opinion
Yes you can use these to listen to whilst also using the elgato wave 3 as your mic. Just make sure you select the right mic in your software (e.g. OBS - or whatever you're using).
Then I'd say go with the G Pro. With the G Hub software on the PC you've got more control over the graphic equalizer so can tune it to your tastes. If you were more console gaming as well then I'd probably say the hyperx. To be honest they're both good headsets. Hope that helps.
@@MyTechGearGaming For information, I was stupid like 1 year ago and I always plugged the jack port on the front which could saturate the sound and I had on 1 model without explanation of the hyperx alpha as electric shocks at times but I hope it's not interfere with the answer you were going to give me
Full quote - "especially for first person shooters like fortnite, valorant, or apex" - I got 2 our of 3! 😉 Feel free to mentally block fortnite from your memory (I know I do! 😁)
@@MyFaceHurtz Ya ive heard they aren't worth the price jump especially with the 7.1 not even being anything that special. Any personal experience on how the Revolvers compare to the Alpha's? Kingston claims that they are their premium line of headset but my friend was kinda disappointed with them and doesn't think they are all that much better than the Alpha's or even the Cloud 2s.
@OliverSimonsen-nk3mb both the Logitech g pro and HyperX cloud alpha headsets are well under $100 USD on Amazon atm. The links in the description will take you straight to them.
They're both good headsets, and each is suited to different types of people, which hopefully came through in the video. It's similar to a car. There's no 1 car that is best for everyone. Hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful though.
A PC and a console are two different devices and so any settings are set on the device itself, not the headset. It's the same if you plugged a headset into a PC and then a mobile phone. Any sound settings are set on the device itself. Hope that helps clarify it for you.
Hello guys which one is better for games like call of duty MW and War zone for footsteps and other games to lol, Logitech G pro X or HyperX Cloud Alpha they both good but which one is better? I see a lot of Pc players use both so I don't know which to go with? and Why?
The g pro x, for PC gaming I think is the better choice as you'll have more customisation on sound profiles using the logitech g hub app. They are more expensive than the Cloud alphas though as they are the next model up from the g Pro's reviewed in this video. Both are good headsets though. As you say, lots of people use both.
Both should do well as mics on gaming headsets are designed to only pick up near sound. If the background noise is really loud though then it will likely pick up some but your voice will still be dominant. So, it depends.
On my Logitech Pro the mic didnt work. its soo quiet when i blow in it can anyone help me? And when i record it its record the sound what i hear on the Headset
check that your mic source on your PC or recording software is set to your headset. It sounds like your using a laptop and it's recording from the laptops mic.
You might want to try taking the mic out the headset and reinserting it, making sure it clicks back into place. If that doesnt work then can you try it on another PC and see if it does the same thing? If it does then I'd say it's faulty and get it replaced.
Hello. What would you say is better right now . The cloud alphas or the cloud 2? Or if there is a headset that’s in a similar price range that is better than the cloud alphas what would you recommend?
@@MyTechGearGaming by any chance have u gotten the opportunity to use the alpha s? Many people are saying that is actually worse than the regular alpha, if so can u please confirm. Thanks
Haven't tried them myself, but essentially they're the same as the Alpha's but just with an added 7.1 USB sound card and variable bass sliders on each ear cup. If you're moving into that price bracket then I'd also recommend checking out the Logitech G Pro X headset amzn.to/3z8GdUv
Alphas over the Cloud II. The detachable cable on the alpha is just more convenient for replacing if needed vs the fixed cable on the cloud 2. If you absolutely want 7.1 surround sound though (which the cloud II has) then I'd suggest looked at the Cloud Alpha S instead. If not bothered with that though, then stick with the Alpha's. Hope that helps.
You're not the first person to spot this! 😁 Full quote was - "especially for first person shooters like fortnite, valorant, or apex" - I got 2 our of 3! 😉 Feel free to mentally block fortnite from your memory (I know I do! 😁) and simply enjoy the rest of the video 😊
Hi Maddy. Gaming headsets, in general, don't have a flat sound as they often over emphasis the bass to sound 'dynamic'. I actually use a pair of Sennheiser Game One headphones when I want a more open and neutral sound. Out of these two though I would say the Logitechs give a flatter response, and with the included G Hub software allow you to tweak the sound also. It really depends on what you want to use them for though. True monitor headphones are going to cost you more. Hope that helps.
Thank you very much for your video which is very well explained. I was hesitating to buy the Cloud Alpha and another headset (BlackShark V2X) but with this video you convinced me to take the Cloud Alpha!
Personally I think the Cloud Alpha's have a slightly better build., and the detachable cable on the Alpha's means it's easy to replace if it gets broken. If you absolutely must have 7.1 sound, then the get the cloud II's (although by most accounts it's nothing worth writing home about).
To be honest I don't think any gaming headset is audiophile quality, that's not their target market. Decide what you're going to use the headset for the most and then get something that's best for that type of use.
Most gaming headsets have a bass bias and aren't balanced. Again, that's just the target market. Out of these two the logitechs are probably better for you if you're playing on a PC as you can use the g hub software equalizer to tweak the sound signature to your liking. Hope that all helps and let me know what one you end up getting.
Logitech has some quality products but i think i will go with the Hyper x alpha.. Will decide later today in the shop i guess lol. My old SOny headphones had to be super glued and duct taped for the 7th time this morning.. piece of shit.. great sound tho.
Have not tired the HyperX Cloud 2 heahphones and went for the logitech G-Pro as lower ohm requires less power. This suites me as a PC gamer, the lack of base is easly resolved when adjusting the EQ settings in your Logitech Hub. I had no sound issues related to music audio quality, but it does take some time to find your balance in the EQ settings. Overall really happy with them, i'd think that the 65 ohm Could 2 headsets would not work on my PC/laptop as it wont power them as much as the G Pro and id lose the sound quality they provide.
The Cloud Alpha's in this video are a little different to the Cloud 2's that you mention. But certainly, for PC gaming, the Logitech G Hub software makes a big difference in being able to customise the sound. Hope you enjoyed the video, and happy gaming with the G Pro's! 😊
You mean the cloud alpha s? That is basically the same headset as the cloud alpha except it adds an bass adjustment slider to the headset and a 7.1 surround sound card, for an extra $30. Depends if that's worth the extra money to you or not. Personally I don't think the sound card is worth it. Having said that, they're on special on amazon at the moment and are down to $99, so for the same price...why not?! 😁 Here's the link amzn.to/3cLDiIb
They're the same thing. Full title of the headset is 'hyperx cloud alpha pro gaming headset'. Some stores include the 'pro' suffix, some don't. There is a 'pro blackout edition' too which is exactly the same except its an all black headset. Hope that all helps.
Thanks for the video! I have ordered the Logitech G Pro X but it will take around a month to come and I could get the HyperX Cloud Alpha with next day delivery so I don't really know what to do atm maybe cancel the Logitech's and just get the HyperX
The G Pro X will be a better headset (for PC use at least during to G Hub software and the Blue Voice features). I'm assuming they are considerably more expensive than the Cloud Alphas though? So, depends on your use case, your budget, and how long you're willing to wait.
@@MyTechGearGaming thanks for the reply, currently they're around the same price on sale. I'll be using them 50/50 pc and console. I wouldn't mind waiting however my current headset broke so i can't use it properly.
Glad you're enjoying them. If you're completely missing sound then might be worth checking that you're downmixing or outputting in stereo. You should be able to hear any sound.
In the game you're playing, there should be a sound options menu, just make sure it's set to stereo. See if that helps. Also, have you tried connecting the headphones directly to your PC and also with the USB dongle? Might be worth trying both if you haven't.
I always imagine the Logitech Software is lock to their own drivers just to boost sells, in theory it could work with your soundcard given how old Realtek drivers are, same goes for a keyboard features. The new design on Logitech probably way better than older generations, hopefully doesn't brake easy this time. And if anyone still thinking about getting the Cloud Alpha, those 65 Ohms can be an issues when plug into a secondary device like your smartphone or notebook, is a big downside in my opinion.
Plenty of companies bundle proprietary software with their devices to provide value-add over and above their competitors. Elgato do that with their Wave mics too for instance. I've had the G Pro's for 2 years now and still as good as new. You're dead right about the Cloud alphas too. I definitely wouldn't buy them if you were primarily going to use it on a mobile device. If that was the case I wouldn't actually get either. They're definitely headsets that work best in a PC or console gaming world. Live your logo btw. Thundercats Ho! 😀
What's better HyperX Cloud Alpha or HyperX Cloud 2? And is it worth it in 2021 or should I buy another Gaming Headsets? Could you recommend me a good Gaming Headsets?
They're both current models. They're both good in my books, but cater to a slightly different person so it depends on what your use is as to which is the best fit for you. Hopefully I covered that for you in the video.
Are you talking about sound leakage? They're both closed back headsets so sound leakage is minimal and they're both good as isolating you from the noise around you too, so it's not a problem on either of them.
