The PS5 does work with ultrawide monitors. However, the screen will still display a 16:9 image with black bars filling the sides.

Does ps5 support ultrawide now?? Or it just strech image.. I saw some forum that it doesn't support it yet.. if it does, how did you set it up ??

its easy, in PS5 system change your resolution to 1440p, then you need to change your monitor setting, set the resolution from 21:9 to 1:1, then your image will go back to normal size but with black bar on both right and left, 1440p is a huge benefit update for ultra wide monitor user, because when u change to 1080p resolution in your PS5 setting you will see not only black bar on both left and right, but also top and bottom, imagine when 1440p still not supported last time, is totally nightmare for ultra wide monitor user

can someone help me please? i recieved a s3422dw, and it doesn't let me activate a quality better than 1080p in my ps5. i'm using the standard hdmi cable that comes with the ps5. it just says "your hdmi device doesn't support 1440p"
