4:53 The drive bay is actually removable, you'll see the screws there at the top (there's also a few at the other side, and at the front, if you remove the mesh front first), then it has a hook-shaped part in the panel that you need to move it in a particular way before it can be finally taken off. The user manual doesn't explain that unfortunately. Anyway, I like the inclusion of that drive bay because nowadays, you can buy sd card reader slots, additional front USB ports, or small LCD screens that display CPU temps that fit into that drive bay.
My dream case was something like an RL06 but sadly it didn't come with an optical drive. Ever since this was announced I've been hyped to the moon and I'm so happy it's come out and just as good as people expected. Great review
I like the fact that the motherboard is upside down allowing the hottest components to be as cooler as possible. Moreover, it's a highly configurable case, so it can be very helpful for the cablemanagment etc... Good job!
@@TechWizTime Yeah I love the design. I'm pretty sure I'll buy this case now. Not many good mATX cases like this with an ODD bay and PSU shroud. Looks great with the tinted glass and you can have the PC to the left of you on your desk and still see inside it. That's nice with limited desk space and right handed mouse. It'll be nice to try a build with inverted mobo too, and the ability to do top intake for better GPU cooling. BTW, Silverstone showed this off at Computex with a little programmable display on the front and apparently they might release that version soon. Don't know if I can wait for that though :D
@@0FFICERPROBLEM I don't have any Micro ATX motherboards on hand right now, otherwise this would be my main case. The little screen version would be awesome for displaying System stats or an Esports team logo :)
We need a test where top intake fans are used, pointed at the card. Another reviewer noted the GPU is 5 degrees cooler without the side panel and he didn't use top fans. imo, top fans are needed to leverage the inverted layout. edit: This also makes me wonder if it would be a good idea to reverse the airflow if top fans are used as intake: Rear fan blowing at the CPU cooler, 2 top fans at the GPU, front fans exhaust. All intake fans would be providing some really direct cooling, more than any other design that comes to mind.
Thanks kindly for getting the early review up, What kind of thermals did the computer get more or less? something in the mid-40s like the RL06 or more in the 50s?
TechWizTime Where I _live_ is Poland, but that’s not where I’m from. :-) but yeah. It isn’t available here yet. I will try waiting for it, because I have yet to find a case that met my needs quite like this one. (The upside down mb, accessed on the right is big, but the external drive , airflow, etc. is exactly what I need. And it looks nice too. )
Damn. That's a shame. How is postage from Germany to Poland? I just had a quick look and couldn't see it available anywhere yet. It has only just released in Australia (This review is the first out there on RU-vid it's that new) but I'll try and update the links if I find it available in other countries. It's an awesome looking and performing case. Airflow is this cases biggest win!!!!!!
If I had a Micro ATX motherboard in my Intel i7-6700K build I would swap to this case in a heartbeat. I love the slideable Tempered Glass panel and upside down motherboard layout. Plus the cable management is a huge one for me. I'm slowly getting into Water Cooling with an All In One cooler. Been a Noctua boy for years so will be a bit of a transition.
Will be an upcoming video :) Might have to use the 3400G ITX again but with a Watercooler. I've got the NZXT x52 Kraken which should perform well. And I'll throw a 1660 GPU in there too to get some good visuals and build temps. Will be good to get some number comparisons from adding in a GPU to an APU
What would be good air flow case that’s as small as possible? I’m thinking about using some of my current parts and building a small pc behind my tv. For emulation proposes, mostly ps3.
