on sale at Costco. buddy picked one up. hot/neutral polarity was reversed in the duplex. It's a modified square wave inverter, not a pure sine wave. The Honda eu3000i is quieter at full load than this is at idle. speaking of idle, there is another thing, the generator idles at what sounds like about 2000 rpm, way higher than the Honda at idle. propane system is pretty awesome. no stinky gas, no ethanol battles, no fuel stabilizer. if you just can't scrape the money together for a Honda, this will work. Otherwise, buy once/ cry once and go buy what you know is the right generator.

Can’t disagree that the Honda is a better generator as there are the gold standard. But the price is crazy high on those. Didn’t know about the modified sine wave . Thanks for the heads up .

Like he said, Honda is the gold standard but I just fired this up with a mini fridge, deep freeze, and full size fan running on high and it is 70 decibels 12 inches from the unit. Drops to 60 at 15 feet or so. I’ll take it.

Just sold my eu3000is after issues that my dealer couldn't fix for 3 years. Never own another Honda. At least with the Firman I came buy 3 for the same price and have money left over.

Its back to $799. I ordered a factory refirbished one direct from firman for $375 during the july 4th 25% off sale and i got free shipping. I feel like thats not a bad deal?
