@@Naztalgic_Memories by the way i dropped spamming disorder and use braver instead since disorder doesnt trigger synergy and i think atb assist as well, braver has some and much higher dmg

Did you even watch the video? I show how they work in conjunction with other materias and skills to form powerful combos that I used to beat all the Chapters on Hard Mode and it felt like easy mode.

First off, thank you for the long post Kat! I didn't mention Mug because I didn't Steal after using Assess. Nothing looked valuable. Remake had Accessories and Weapons to steal while Rebirth just had Crafting materials or Consumables. I didn't steal once so I would have never known! I am aware of this from Remake but you're right! I should have mentioned that for anyone who forgot or are new to the series! This one I did go over later in the video! I am so glad they made Aerith better with the new abilities but her AI usually stays in the Wards now!

That's not what Kat is saying @@blindender9979 Yuffie has Folio's that reward her for using Steal/Mug

@@blindender9979 Mug is for use with Enemy Skill, specifically the Plasma Discharge that causes you to explode in electricity every time the ATB bar fills. Mug refunds 60% of an ATB bar on hitting a single enemy. Double that if you hit two. It allows anyone to quickly build up ATB while also spending it so you can trigger said Plasma Discharge over and over. Link that Enemy Skill Materia with HP Absorb and you'll be healing while dealing AoE damage. While also having infused Lightning in your attacks without the need for using Elemental Material linked with Lightning. Now add on say Fire % Ice Materia with Elemental and you'll now be dealing 3 elements with every basic attack that you do, generally hitting any weakness but wind. One can do this on Cloud, who has Disorder built in, so you don't need to use Mug. Or use characters like Tifa who have the fastest ATB generation in the game. Yuffie also works as she has synergy with the Mug Materia (in her skill tree, as in benefits for using Mug...). Yuffie also has some skills, like her decoy, which only use a portion of an ATB bar, allowing you to then refill that small portion of the ATB bar back quickly for more explosions that way too. Of course, add on all the ATB generation purple materia as well on the character with said loadout and you've got a character that can handle most things in the game. Enemy Skill itself is great as you start with Sonic Boom, which buffs both your ATK and MAG, meaning it will buff your basic attacks which are all elemental infused while also buffing the magic lightning damage from the Plasma Discharge. You the quickly get the Soothing Breeze, which is a large AoE Heal, though makes your character immobile... (just use it right at the end of a fight, the equipped character will keep healing even after the fight is over until the effect is done, saving you on healing through other means). Bad Breath and the other skills are fun to have as well on top of Enemy Skill Materia just buffing 4 stats by 5% is the icing on the cake.....

Yuffie is by far the best character because so many reasons...She can use any element with an ability, she's the fastest, she ranged or you can click and it charges on the enemy, mug charges also, blind whatever makes her get up from knock down instantly, Douppleganger, she's insane and you can't get her off you... oh and I almost forgot she charges limit break like if you did mp/hp swap...

As far as I know mug restores atb when it deals its damage no matter if the steal fails.

That's a great combo Matthew! I tried out the Petrify Materia after reading the comments and I agree! It's so much better and we get three copies to have better synergies like you mentioned!

Short question as i'm a little confused. Where do you use your other magnify then when you use your petrify combo? on time? or on healing? and if not on healing how do you heal everyone? thanks in advance :D

I have Magnify+Time on Yuffie. I find stop just as useful as haste and up to two people will be regenerating HP consistently. I gave Cloud/Aerith healing materia but I feel that answer also varies by battle and personal preference!

If you're following this guide then you rarely ever need to heal! @@Verdandus There are still benches before boss battles that'll top you up so I'd go with Time!

@@Naztalgic_Memories igneous saber let’s bad effects last for 25 percent more. It’s so broken. Also magnify with stop is beyond cracked as well.

But does quake do anything if enemy is immun to it i have it on aerith with synergy and on some enemys it shows the effect but when i asses them it says immune to stone but can be petrified

@@proto919 oh really lol? Then use poison. You should be using poison and petrify materia. It’s rare for an enemy to be immune to both. The poison and petrify also works best with first strike atb so you can cast it at the start of the fight.

Thats what i use poison and quake with synergy its good but there are more broken builds like aerith infinite ult spam build

@@Naztalgic_Memories Yeah, pretty sure all 5 of them have to survive. I've seen other people complaining about not getting it after Roche's fight. Most of those people said they had lost one or more of the soldiers. So I'm assuming all of them have to survive in order to get the keychain.

I am aware and I am glad they gave him Spirits! I just found him the weakest out of the roster and Red XIII to be the better tank now! If we're forced to play Barret like you said then he can use the build with Spirits and Haste!

@@Naztalgic_Memories I would disagree about Red being better, Barret still has that Life ability to take damage on behalf of everyone. Red is certainly stronger as a dps

That is true @@sanguinetales It's all a matter of perspective and I like to kill my enemies quickly. I value Red more because he can Counterattack and Sentinel Stance lets him soak multiple hits for his Unique mechanic! Barret is the better traditional tank role since he can soak damage for the whole team like you said and takes much lower damage with Steelskin!

@@sanguinetales Lifesaver doesn't really matter when Watcher's Respite exists. Genji Ring on Red with Auto Weapon ability, Steadfast Block, and Precision Defense means if the party gets low, he pops Respite for a party heal.

Systems then Chapter Selection. You can then replay any chapter on Hard Mode!

Yes beat the game in any of the gives modes normal easy or dynamic then go to system and chapter select pick the chapter your want to start on and choose hard mode from there it will just continue to the next chapters automatically in hard mode till you choose to go to another manually

I like to control where the ATB goes and the new Auto Materia don't do anything I can. It can be comfy but when I need a specific Ability or Spell I won't have the ATB to do so since the Auto already used it!

Auto unique ability is pretty useful but auto weapon could screw you over. However, keep in mind you could pair auto weapon with hp absorption as well or mp absorption possibly? (Correct me if im wrong) there could be some use there. Maybe a good early game build

@Naztalgic_Memories I forgot to mention that for some reason, Cloud's skill disorder doesn't proc synergy materia, but other skills do. ( There could be more skills that won't proc it, but I haven't really tested that part)

I am aware of Disorder not activating Synergy! It's still useful to help Cloud get Atb while dishing out some damage until the enemy is Staggered! If you find out others that don't then I'd love to know as I am currently cooking a bunch of stuff!@@soppybottomboys1195

Well I went went over who uses each build the best! As for weapons the Plasma Discharge person just wants the weapon with the highest Attack, Support can use the best mixed weapon and Magic user wants the most magic! I used this build during those chapter segments with forced comps and it still preformed really well!

This build hardly uses MP Rock! The only time you'd use MP is for the Time Materia vs minibosses or bosses. The build kills mobs with ease! If you need healing Aerith's Cura will easily top up anyone. If you ever find yourself low on MP for Aerith then use Soul Drain when the enemies Staggered for a huge amount of MP back! Synergy uses the linked Spell for no MP cost if that's what you're referring to!

Put the hp>mp materia on and just have someone use heal. That’s what I’ve been doing lol.

What is your first language? I could tell that English was probably not your first language, but it’s nevertheless impressive how much command you have over it. I’m consistently jealous of multilingual people; it’s so common in the states to only speak English, which I think is to our detriment.

@@Naztalgic_Memories the Brutal challenges are REALLY hard. I had to do as much as I could to just make them doable with a party of Cloud, Barret and Red XII using the limit siphon method. Currently finished 3 out of 6.
