@@felipesancler465 I'd put medina and john equal the thing is john has better style better in using the rail equal in the air as medina(before injuries) in barrel abilities their equal too in fact in my opinion john is the better surfer but what john doesn't have is Medina's competitivenes john just surf's a heat but medina he does the math in how to win it.

@@rodeo241 I’d put Medina one step above JJF because of its Air Game. He’s one of the best on it, it’s been years since I don’t see JJ landing or even attempting anything above the lip. We all know that the air game have been playing a extremely important role on the heats results. Medina is as good as JJ as a tube rider, his results shows he always goes to the finals in pipeline. So, having that in mind I think Medina is more completed than JJ. It’s like comparing Messi to CR7 both are excellent on every category, but CR7 is taller and score many goals using his head. So in my opinion he’s more completed, but for some Messi has more style. It’s a matter of taste and choice, and I’ll always pick the most completed athlete. Just my opinion

@@rodeo241 but the ranking I made is based on the surfers current performance. That’s why I put names like the Rookie Joao Chianca, and also names like Ethan Ewing, Jack Robinson. All those guys are new to the tour and are ripping. I can’t take in consideration how good JJF was in the past, otherwise I’d put Kelly on the number one

True story. When he was a kid he was a Huntington grommet, he got gassed by the locals as he was up and coming. As every from should. He wants the title and he will get it. I think alot of people don't want him to succeed because he was once a California kid but now he wants to represent Japan. I say other way, it would be good for his culture if you cut out all the political stuff. He's good. Grif is impressive that's for sure

If he wants to rep Japan-his culture and native country-then that’s a beautiful act to honor and pay homage and respect to his roots and heritage and you know what, good for him for doing so! America is his home but he is still Japanese American. You don’t just deny or throw away your mother culture, your other identity, or discard the other half of yourself just bc you’re American; Japanese is still very much a source and influential part of who he is and makes up a great part of his identity. Two cultures can exist at once and be fully embodied and embraced in and by a person; it’s at the core of who you are; it is not mutually exclusive or two diametrically opposed identities. Let him live and let him embrace his dual and true selves. Humans are more nuanced, complex, and layered then your singular one dimensional categories, rigid boxes, restrictive labels, judgments, facile criticisms and reductive treatment of them

They say that first and last manoeuvre is so important finishing strong Infront of the judges would have given him a 9+ imo. Looked like he wanted to get more from the wave and could have just straightened out after that last fin drift thing.
