Best Helmet setup with DJI Osmo Action 3

After using GoPro for a while now, and having nothing but unreliable issues in regards to freezing and corrupt files. I've decided to jump ship and give the Action 3 a go. '
The real test will come with the next video when I start visiting some big things.

Interesting video description (haven't watched it yet). I came upon this video as I'm fed up with my GoPro randomly losing hours of footage. Considering trying DJI's equipment.

If you can grab the Action 4 the audio is a bit better in the 4. I use Chinmount just get the one that suits your helmet, they make ones to suit the more popular helmets.

So I ordered a chinmount from chin mounts. Idk if I'm missing something, but how do you actually mount the osmo onto the mount? I know theres the mount itself, but what other piece do I need?

Guessing you didnt buy this bit with it? chinmounts.com/en-au/products/low-profile-buckle-mount you can get them from lots of places, but to mount it nice without it looking at the ground you will need it.

Great video man. I've got a question tho, where did you get that magnetic mount you're showint at 4:46? I was thinking about ordering the mount from chin mounts but I'm not sure whether all the pieces are included or I need to buy something else

The mag mount comes with the DJI cameras.

@@koalakoncepts Oh I see I just realized It was that one lmao. How about the thing you slide onto the chin mount? Because from their website I can only see the piece you attach to the helmet, which has those bars where you should slide the other piece (the one I can't find) with the camera

@mrkaiser9565 You can get little extensions to give the camera better angle. I cant remember if I got them from chin mount or not. It might have even been an gopro assesories pack from years ago.

Its a chinmount, just order the one suitable for your helmet.

Hey, did you find a good wired mic? I’ve tried rode, sennheiser, purple panda, saramonic, boya wireless mics, etc and they all cause crazy distortion due to my loud exhaust. I’m thinking mic is not the problem, the action 3 itself has too much gain or something. Are you having a same problem?

Have actually just changed the windshield yesterday, to hopefully stop turbulence. But yeah it does have alot of gain even at -12db

@@koalakoncepts hey, so I found the fix. I used the 3.5mm cable with volume control attached to it and it solved all my problems caused by loud exhaust

A lot of other motovlog setup videos, they put a thing in-line with the mic which reduces this gain. Can’t remember the name but watch a couple setup videos and you’ll see what I mean

Mouth holder? The company is called chin mount that make the helmet mounts if that helps.

If you use a motorbike with a noisy exhaust, does the sound still sound good? Mine has broken sound with the Boya adapter BY K-4

Ive got the same adapter, the issue is still wind noise in the helmet. Get a really good helmet. These cameras still struggle with processing wind noise. Something the gopro is actually better at.

just need to grab a 3.5mm male to female adapter extension cable with volume control to put between mic and BY-K4 and problem sorted. Moto Feelz tested and works spot on. @@koalakoncepts

Is usb C and usb C working for audio from rode? It's not working for me. Is there any indication poping up on screen or any settings to be modified or is there specific cable?

Just make sure its a usb c cable that does data, there are some cheap ones out there that only do power.

@@koalakoncepts I am trying to connect from rode wireless receiver to osmo 4. I have tried more than 10 cables, including Samsun c type. None of them detects. If you have specific, please share the online link.

@roshanp8454 mine is just a standard usb c cable, just make sure it can transfer data.

Hey mate, greetings from Australia. There are some things I need to point out 1:You don't need to do anything to the camera to put it on the cage just take out the rubber, and that it all the ports can work easily after.

This is the small rig cage, you need to remove the lense cover to get it in. If you only have the plastic case that it comes with then it fits right in. But thats not what im talking about.

@Koala Koncepts no u have exactly the same and the camera goes in without so enything just take the rubber in the lenses out
