Given the Librarian's senses are acute enough to determine a material's composition, the time delay of lightspeed communication even over a relatively short distance, and the source book with roughly method of translation the suit uses, would it be wise to introduce it to the EM spectrum? Infrared, x-rays, UV; If it figures out more, perhaps Ilunor's cloak may be rendered useless, as would the Cadet's active camouflage to the wrong people. Not to mention how unfriendly some of those can be to living things. The library is only interested in knowledge. We don't know if it has an ethics policy for how that knowledge is obtained apart from equivalent exchange.
The ever increasing wait times for new chapters is gonna drive me F-ing nuts. But keep up the great work, NetNarrator! I've got plenty to listen to in the meantime.
lol all that finagling with the headpiece when she could have just asked buddy to shift his anatomy lol he’s a magical construct from a sentient library lol
I called they would have quantum entanglement for FTL communication! Also I had a feeling that crystal dragon that showed up when the crystal was destroyed and dropped crystals when it left would turn out to be the source.
So Minor Shards are dragon bits?) And the QEC-comms from ME franchise, the sole reason for how I see it, for those to NOT upend entire Nexian dictatorship, is for Mana being a DIMENSIONAL property, instead of REGIONAL, coz I don't think you could do Quantum Comms between Parallel Worlds without shenanigans PS Buddy's happy stupor been rather interesting to see, I wonder just how MUCH he's understood about the Possibilities opened by that conversation
@@SergeyWaytov the only way I see ME style QECs working is if Earth is in a mana deficient pocket of the universe. And the other Nexian realms are in a more standard mana environment. Just light-years away. If not, ME style QECs wouldn't work according to conventional wisdom as I understand it. You'd have to operate in the same universe with exactly the same laws of physics.
@@puppetmasterey@puppetmasterey Precisely my line of logic, is Earth an island in sea of Mana, where Human Space is an area lacking any "mana particles", or we're talking about the way, of crossing between Parallel Worlds, in which case, you've got the means of communication incompatible with QEC-stations
if your talking about for radio, they more than likely upgraded it to tight band laser communications, which would mostly be fine in system not instant. but you could ship large amounts of information as long as you have a clean shot. I cant imagine using quantum entanglement would be cheap( on energy usage) and would more than likely be used for time sensitive information only.
I don't think so. The library needs to fully understand the concept for it to give you access to the equivalent information you wish for in the same detail. While radio ended up not being what was required for the information transaction, I don't think the library will give away the knowledge it has about radio, unless it is given a new equivalent for it to trade for.
@@redstarfire4037I would say she could have been smarter by asking for the extraneous data around it to be a credit towards additional knowledge. She explained that humanity could reach the stars and some other stuff around the radio. Since nothing is given freely by the library (besides the 1st encounter), she could’ve haggled better. Still this chapter had me grinning like mad.
@@travistirey8579 seems like the library is playing it like credit atm, seams like it is a stickler for 100% fair deals, now imagine if she let slip about the internet >.>; i mean its effectively a version of you that we made
