These are just rf detectors (which have been around since the 1930s) with a few bells and whistles attached in fancy packaging. Somewhat like some anti-virus packages, they do little but put on an impressive display for the user. Even most basic camera phones are able to detect the ir emissions of night-vision enabled cameras (an "impressive" features in one of units). These will only track low end and amateur devices and not be able track higher-end surveillance products. These are gimmicks, don't waste your money!

@@RickMiller-m5q It detects a whole bunch of things such as WIFI connections + listening devices. All I needed it for was to spot hidden cameras. For that it does not beep to alert, you just turn on the inferred light and look through a lens while the orange light is on and if there are any cameras in the room, their lens sparkle trough peak-whole of this gadget like a diamond !
