Best Hike in Kentucky! Pinnacles of Berea

A 2019 issue of Outside magazine rated this trail system as the "best hike in Kentucky." I can see why. Numerous overlooks with outstanding views and tons of interesting rock formations are what you'll find at Pinnacles of Berea at Berea College's Forestry Center, located just outside Berea, Kentucky. I did not have much time so I only did a short hike up to Indian Fort Lookout and Devil's Kitchen. I plan to return here in the future to hike some more trails. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful! No doubt about it. Wonder how many miles you can see from top of that lookout. Thank you for taking me places that these old legs can no longer travel, to see sights these old eyes can still view. God Bless, my friend.

That is definitely a sweet hike! It’s gets pretty crowded there too on the weekends. I was there a few weeks ago and there was people everywhere.

Thanks for checking it out, my friend. Yes it was busy the day I was there, on a weekday in the middle of the week. I guess being college property and pretty easy to access brings in the crowds. Definitely an awesome place to hike though, I'd love to go back here in the future.

Thanks so much for checking out my video. This is indeed an awesome place and the trails are nicely done. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to explore fully but if I ever make it back to that area I’d definitely like to hike some more of these trails.

Thanks so much for watching, my friend, and thanks for telling me about this place. You mentioned it to me at one of the meet ups years ago and I kept it on the bucket list. Finally I was passing through the area and got to swing by to check it out. I was running behind so I couldn’t hike as many trails as I originally planned but hope to make a return visit in the future. Its a beautiful place and the trails are nicely done.

neat little grate over that crack in the rock/ cool you end up under it later... awesome hike and looks like it was still pretty warm then, love it thanks for taking us along

Thanks, my friend. Yes this is an awesome hike. The property is owned by a college so the grate was likely placed there for security. That hole is plenty large enough for someone to slide through if not paying attention to the trail. This was in late October, generally that time of year is characterized by warm days and cool nights.
