I love historical romances , I’m fifty four years old and have been reading them since my teens, so I would like to give you some recommendations.Alice coldbreath is good grace callaway Kerrigan Byrne the duke with the dragon tattoo is fantastic, Brooklyn Ann writes paranormal historical romances, cat Sebastian usually writes mm , I could go on all day but unfortunately the house 🏠 needs to be cleaned, so happy reading.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

kim arnill I am 73 and I started with Kathleen she past away more than 10 years . Her books Shanna, the Wolf and the Dove and the Flame and the 🌺

kim arnill good morning from Kathleen who passed away in 2008 my favorite was Shanna and I have a Laurie Mcbain I do not know what happened to her. The last news is that her father passed away and she stopped to write. Also, I owned the books of Rosemary Rodgers, Jennifer Wilde, Valerie Sherwood, Shirlee Busbee and Joanna Lindsay that passes away last October. I will so sad 😭 that these ladies of romance. Thanks for share those old goodies.

perfect timing!! Im reading my first historical right now on audio--When a Scot Ties the Knot!! I'm really liking it and I can't believe I hadn't picked one up before now. Now I have even more to add to me TBR. I found the Jennifer Ashley series you mentioned on Hoopla so I can't wait to read it 🤩

I adore Tessa Dare. 💖 She is so funny. I was so impressed by the beginning of the one you mention but perhaps love all her other books even more including the Spindle Cove Series. Along with Julia Quinn, Julie Ann Long is another of my favourite authors and I have to agree Pandora and Gabriel in Devil in Springtime are just wonderful! One of my favourite Kleypas novels. I love quirky, sweet, funny and smart heroines.

All of Tessa Dare's books make me smIile. I am working through all three of her series. I'm almost done with the CastleEver series, and I can't wait to move on to the Spindle Cove series.

Loved this and that dress is gorgeous!! Sea of Ruin sounds so good!! When the Scot Ties the Knot TD and The Secret JG has been on my TBR fo way too long I'm not even sure why I'm delaying my reading. Against the Magic sounds so good I'm definitely going to try it out!! Loved this video!

You Read Sea of Ruin!!!!! I loved this book so much! It has so many amazing things going on. Its also so hard to tell about this book with no spoilers. Jennifer Ashley is amazing. I loved her Mackenzie brothers. I am reading the Macbride's and they are pretty good too. Especially Elliot. I have the Secret because of one of your other videos. can't wait to read it.

This was a great video, I really enjoyed listening to your recommendations! Thanks for doing this. I am reading Night song by Beverly Jenkins for the historical hellions book club and it's my first book from her. I think I'll enjoy Indigo as I like the slow burn romances.

I read Again the Magic last month and loved it. Which led me to binging the Hathaways by Lisa Kleypas. I think I need to buy the Uptown Girls Series that I’ve been trying to hold off on and go for it. Love your content 💝

A recommendation I would have is Eve Byron's Only in My Dreams published in 1998. It is a wonderfully written old school romance.

Okay, "When a Scot ties the Knot" I was so down for I loved the plot idea. When I read it not long ago, I was so disappointed because that plot happened within about 15% of the book and everything afterward felt like a filler, if this was a short novella I would have adored, that being said it felt too dragged on for me. I did enjoy the bonus epilogue tho.

I want to read all the historicals because I feel so behind just getting into them a few months ago! I LOVE the Uptown Girls series so much. I'm on the last book and I can't wait to read it. A rec I have is To Beguile the Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt. It's probably my top favorite out of the historical romances I've read so far!

I've been loving historical romance lately, so this is perfect! I adore Indigo, the Wallflowers and the Mackenzies, and I'm actually read When a Scot right now :) have you read Alice Coldbreath? I'd love to hear your thoughts on her! she writes medieval romances.

I have read Alice Coldbreath 😊 Just the 3 books in the Vawdrey Brothers series so far. I liked them but can’t say I loved them. I did enjoy the old school vibes though! The heroes were sooo OTT 😂

A writer recommend that book and others book among Dario, by burrowed asand Laura Kinsale plus Jennifer Ashley. These authors love tormented heroes. The same as me. Christi Caldwell is other author cruel writer she enjoy torture them, sadist we’ll I love it too.

With 😍Lord Ian MacKenzie😍, no one ever mentions his odd Ming china habit which I found cute and funny, especially as I read it after Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard where the MMC _also_ has an odd but very different Ming china habit! 🤣 (NB these were the second and first regency/victorian romances I ever read!). So Sea of Ruin is basically the novelization of Black Sails? I loved that show but found the rape in the first season very hard to watch. Otherwise, the book sounds really interesting... is it easy to just skim past the rape scenes? Regarding all of the older historicals, do you find that all the 70s-early 2000s are similar in theme and tone or do there vary from decade to decade? At my age, I should have at least read a few of these (I've not, Mills & Boon was my early romance experiences), but I have no tolerance for all the crap that many of them include as the 'norm'. Anyways, TFS :)

linda hole I know Lauren Royal made less sexy versions of her historical romances. I read the original/sexier versions, so I didn’t read those versions, but possibly those would be less smut for you.
