Please don’t play on frozen ice. I almost died doing that as a kid. I was a little kid, walked out on what was said to be frozen ice. Someone had even driven a four wheeler on it and it was solid. I happened to hit a thin spot, and fell through. There is no panic like falling through ice, your body bobbing up to surface…and hitting solid ice. Thankfully my friends older brother immediately came over and started bashing all the ice so I could come up. There was a good 10 seconds though (that felt much longer) where I was entirely trapped under that ice because you rarely fall straight down and Bob straight back up. The slightest movement, and you’re no longer right under that hole.

I am from the Netherlands and we are called The Low Country as we are below sea level and completely flat... so no mountains in the Netherlands, Crystal 😉 For these you'll have to go to Austria or Switserland.

I loved watching this whole vlog but the ending from going into the hot tub and being around the table just gave me goosebumps and a big smile of my face! Was so beautiful to see this and it’s so true this place is so calming and beautiful. I know the cold is out the box for you all as you are so…used to warm weather but there’s just always something about cabins or houses by the mountains in the middle of no where it would be nice to see the younger ones or maybe just all the boys do this with the parents. 🤗❤️

I have lived in Montana my whole life. If you ever want to come back I would love to show you some beautiful sights including Glacier Park and the Going to the Sun highway.

It's really warm up there so far this year with limited snow. I just spoke to the man who farms our land, and he said winter doesn't start until January and/or February. Last year our last blizzard was in early May.

Was just coming here to say that is a beautiful Bull Elk in the picture. Oh and that's a spotting scope not a telescope lol also so super dangerous to stand on ice in a river. Love your channel, makes me giggle when your wrong about things.

You definitely need to go to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in June. We went in July and it was a bit warm, but if you go mid to late June, the weather is amazing. I’d go in on the Montana side. However, if you drive, go through Colorado and up through Wyoming to Jackson. It is so beautiful. Your family won’t be disappointed.

I'm from the Netherlands , mountains nope hills in the south and eastern part of the Netherlands. Snow some times, mostly rain, when the ice is so thick most of the Dutch go crazy, (not me) skating. Tours, competition every thing! Mostly its not a winter wonderland.

I am way behind in your videos and trying to catch up. I've been so excited to watch the 2 Montana trip videos, because this house in about 24 miles from my childhood home off the Bear Canyon exit East of Bozeman. My house is no longer there, but my grandparents old house is. It's visible from the freeway and you would have driven past it twice on this trip. This made me so happy to watch. This area was my first home ❤. Also the airport has changed SOOO much since the last time I was there. Loved this video.

The Middles spent a weekend in the mountains a couple of hours away from Mesa and the community there was full of Elk.

I laughed so hard when Bella said her paints were frozen, here in Nova Scotia, our pants and nose hairs are always frozen or stuck together in the winter haha I'd love to go to Montana and visit a Wander property.

This is my first comment on here ever (english is not my first language so bare with me). Growing up up/living in Scandinavia I got some anxiety seeing my lovely ‘friends’ across the world walk around is jeans and sweatshirt😅I have a couple tips for you☃️ 1. Work with layers when going outside, I always wear a thin layer closest to the body made of either 100% cotton or ethically sources wool (typically smaller company’s/farms). This works as a barrier between your body and the cold. 2. Feet and head. Research shows that the majority of heat leaving your body does so there. Really thick socks and a hat is crucial and preferably made by the same material as point 1 (as little synthetic materials as possible) 3. As someone mentioned in the comments ice is one of deadliest things to conquer in winter. With so many deaths/accidents every year up here. Always drill a hole in the ice to check if it’s thick enough to walk on. Where I live people always suggests 3.9 inches/10 cm MINIMUM. Always have tools on you if the ice would beak and always be with at least two other people for safety. Loved seeing you guys in my element! I thrive in winter. I bought gas last Saturday here in Mid Missouri and paid $2.69 a gallon. It's been really cold here and we seen a light dusting of snow last weekend but nothing really like what we normally would have this time of year. But Missouri is known for an easy winter then during the 1st part of the year we get dumped on with snow....the ski looks like it could snow at any minute...

Gas prices are good there because there is a processing plant in Billings. Cost of living is a lot less than Arizona. And you definitely get all four seasons here.
