@@SportsRecruits It's hard to say, De La Salle was likely the NorCal favorite early in the season but they lost to St. Francis (mountain view) - then St. Francis lost their D1 Championship game last night. Whichever team is chosen this year is vulnerable.. if it'll happen then it wont' likely be this year. Southern Sectional is just too strong. No NorCal team is nationally ranked in the top 10 (but 3 of them are in SoCal), might be a close game but I don't see it being too difficult than what Mater Dei has already faced.

@@dbo9027 definitely not with guys like Raleek Brown, Jordan Davison etc now opting to leave norcal and play in socal... with a talent exodus to socal you can almost guarantee it will be a looooooooong time before norcal can even compete in D1

Kids punching and horsplaying is one thing. Hazing for many years and the coach and school knowing is a crime. Every one will be brought to trial from the coach Bruce , the school principal the school, parent of the kid did the assault and the orange county archdiocese. Have it go to trial. Air out all the dirty laundry. Going to cost everyone involved millions

@@fixmypc3798 I agree. MD's pass rush is absolutely disgusting in how good it is for highschool. I see the stunts and coordination from the front 7 - when one of them breaks through, they all start breaking through. Interior DL is nasty and edge rushers got lots of technique

Westlake = public school. No team in TX will ever match up to one of the Cali private schools. They operate completely different, and can obtain different talent levels. You’re comparing apples and oranges.

i'm sick and tired of private, parochial schools being spoiled too much with success, i hope in my lifetime, a public school from California, keyword public school, has their football program, win a national championship in HS football, or just finish the season ranked number 1 in the nation, last time that happend for CA, the internet didn't exist yet.

A handful of public schools such as LB Poly and Corona Centennial thst are part of large school districts that have school choice would dominate. Because of geography and demographic MD and SJB can pilfer from Long Beach but not Corona. Any parent that loved their kid would chose MD over Poly. But staying at Centennial makes sense. They are a monster team with more highly ranked players than Servite.

Those people who do not recognize the absolute advantage of having little to no restrictions on who plays for your school just befuddles the shit out of me.Props to Corona Centennial, should be playing public schools only .Not taking anything away from the private schools ,but level the playing field BEFORE the game starts.And stop tooting your horns calling out public schools for competition, they owe you nothing by scheduling you.

@@MrRukiddin I generally agree with what you say but Centennial has a lot of advantages and destroys most private and public schools. Centennial won the the CIF a few years, so SJB and Mater Dei stepped up their scholarships and allowed recruiting. Many school districts do not have school choice where a powerhouse program can take place. So if Centennial wins again they in no way be David beating Goliath. It will more like Samson beating Goliath.
