Was 2020 the best Hurricane surf ever? I am pretty sure that for me it had been the most consistent & enjoyable waves I've scored over the course of a hurricane season. I've had a lot of years pass where I got one good wave per storm, but these things just panned out fully for the dream! I've had a few days of down time & the dreams are stacking up already so I hope you guys are stoked for some epic videos coming up! Thank YOU Nub Nation!!! - Ben

Awesome 👍 video Ben and thank you for helping me keep my chin up with the cancer I have been fighting. You have been keeping my mind staying positive. Yes, I surfed Ponce Inlet a month ago when I should not have done. It was to good to miss it and I needed to keep my surfing skills up. I seriously could of hurt myself by surfing. I hate being out of the water. I started bleeding inside so now I have to stay out. Doctor s orders. At least I have you to watch and keep the dream still alive in me. If you come down to Miami for one of our swells that we get once or twice a year. I would like to have a surf and lunch with you and your crew. The mall video, awesome. I would like to visit Jersey and surf El Slammo. That's my kind of 🌊 wave. The cancer is on control but still have a lot of time to beat it. Just want to say thanks again for all the positivity and congratulations to you and Jordan. For the Dream,Peace out. Kubi

Ben Gravy you spoil us so bad with daily new surf content. I get a little bummed when I see highlight clips, then I remember theres a dude out there who along with a few friends spends hours of every day making videos for our enjoyment. So THANKS !

I'm a local beach bum that goes to AC and this year was the best year for waves...we were down 3weeks ago and had 29 surfers in front of us never saw the waves like i did this year...it was beautiful 🤙

sick recap. had one hurricane swell this season out here on the big island. was pretty small even so. winter is coming though. come surf the big island. got some real radical novelties, longboard lefts, aframe tubes, waipio valley picturesque splackers ( look it up), chaotic shorebreak. and its never not breaking, at least on the eastside of the island. just throwin it out there.

Great reflective vlog!! It is kind of warped that someone would spread a false rumor of you. You took it well but that is not cool at all. I for one have lost a number of relatives and friends this year. Also thousands if not millions would be in pain if something actually happened to you. You have made that much of a positive impact to this world by just being yourself. As for flat days they are good for those who are just getting into surfing to practice their paddling skills and maybe do tourist style surfing. If you are just trying to learn to surf this is the best time to go out with a 9' longboard and catch some ankle biters.

Glad to hear that EL SLAMO didn't claim Ben's life and was just a rumour however got me thinking about some simple thoughts on death and beyond! RIP Hurricane season 2020...? Or does it live on...? Nice flat-day retrospective... That AC Jetty looks like it got pretty much all-time... In a way, it reminds me of a secret spot in the LA North Bay...but it rarely gets that much size. West Coast was pretty mediocre - except for some early season bomb swells. You were in the right place from August on, it looks like.
