Sleep damage only work for one hit. 2 bombs plus one hit will have 2 normal damage and one double damage. (not 3 times btw) Besides that. I do use the same inventory loadout. You can bring 2 trap tool with 2 thunderbugs for extra traps on the go. They may not last as long but free super amped discharge is always welcome.

Crafting materials are a must. You can't just bring 3 flashpods to an elder dragon hunt. You need the 10 flashbugs to make more. You can add the crafting "recipe" to the shortcut wheel and save it to your loadout. I do that for potions as well, so I bring 10 honey and make megas during downtime. On captures I also bring crafting mats for traps and on my ranged build I bring the berries used for my preferred ammo to make more.

Use drugs. Got it.

Mega barrel bombs aren't that rare. You cam make em with large barrel bomb + Devil's blight.

To note. Many buffs stack such as the following. Demon Drug with Mega Demon Drug. Armour Skin with Mega Armour Skin. Adamant Pill + Might Pill, these stacking with the above also. Buffs from the Hunting horn stack, excluding the health boost, which is in the same classification as the buffs from Health extenders and the hunting food .

Wtf? Am i the only one who brings crafting items like traps and flashbugs?

Replace well done steaks with rations. Much quicker for when your stamina starts to drop in mid combat. Just go to canteen and use oven roast option at bottom and just use that easy to get raw meat. Get 4 rations after every mission.

just wanted to add something. A common misconception is that the monster has to be facing you in order for the flash pod to work. It isn't the case. You could be standing right behind a Rathalos who is facing away from you but if you aim the pod such that it explodes in front of him then it would still bring him down. The important thing is to let the pod activate in the monster's line of sight.

Another one is Adamant Seeds and Might Seeds. They stack with the drugs, the pills and the powders and they last for 3 minutes. If you use it just before engaging the monster every time moves to a new area, you can have it up most of the time.

Dash juice becomes essential when you main a bow, since it uses your stamina and dash juice allows for more shots and faster stamina recovery.

I have a few load outs for a few different situations. First separate your basic load-out and your elder dragon load out, you can’t use traps, you don’t need them, don’t worry about regular armor and demon drug on elder or T2/T3 just use the mega versions. Keep potions, mega potions and honey in all load outs for 20 mega potions (ten on you and ten ready to craft.) Screamer pods are just a waste of space IMO but to each their own, but always always keep the flash and the dung pods!Nullberries are a must, no difference between antidote and it’s higher version, I just use antidote because it’s easier to make. Lastly I have a load out specifically for mushroomancer skill with max wide range and just a load out of all the mushrooms, go into a fight with this, pop your buffs plus giving a few to friends, then back to the tent for your normal gear and item load outs... it saves so much for materials that it’s always worth it.. can’t get the mega versions with them but hey for stand HR and T1 monsters it’s all you really need.

I think large barrel bomb are super effective when monsters are sleep not only because you can do x3 damage while they are sleeping but also because blast are just pure damage. It doesn't make difference how much armor the monster is

1. You don't bring supplies for making more bombs/traps. Hunting elders can require alot more at times depending on the one slaying. 2. This is subjective. Many different weapons and play styles require different set-ups. I personally don't bring any healing items. As i am a glaive user, i should not be taking as much damage as i can either take to the sky or maneuver myself to the extent i shouldn't be taking much at all.Yes there are times i am hit but i also bring my vitality cloak to assist me in those enraged phases. May not seem like much but being able to survive an otherwise 1 hit kill from an elder dragon is very helpful imo. Not to mention that i can heal marking/extracting monsters from afar or up close if i really need them. I also take other items like dash juice and i bring extra items for capturing/bombing either high rank monsters or elder dragons. I have armour load-outs depending on the elder dragon at hand too. Each hunt should be planned out accordingly. Just my thoughts anyhow. Closing in on HR75 atm myself and stumbled upon this video through autoplay.

Honestly, you don't typically need to bring rations because the missions give you some. Unless you're in for a very long fight, the rations you get by default from the mission box is typically enough. Especially if you use Satiated/Friendship gems like I do when I am running a hybrid DPS/support build.

When your good, Charms, flashbugs, flashpods, demon powder, demon drug, dash juice. I dont plan on taking damage and expect to kill the Elder Dragons. You can find Null berries where Val Hazaak lives, and a heal booster suffices.

Dash juice is a must for bow wielders, having less stam drain makes it so you can do more damage.

Dung pod = bye bye bazelgeese

Regarding attacking sleeping monster. Your method doesn't work, only the first hit gets *double* damage. No other attacks after the first hit will get bonus damage.

That's a ton of inventory bloat to take on every mission, especially given the redundancy of having multiple drugs, etc. If you're only using the drugs for Elder Dragons, then make a separate loadout for those hunts and drop the trap tools. Furthermore, just going 3 Flash Pod is often not enough to get the job done. Take 10 Flashbug as well and now you can craft 10 more Flash Pods. 13 is more than enough to ensure whatever you're fighting stays grounded for life.

I use the drugged meat a lot. I normally fight a monster once to figure out all its retreat routes and during a mission for that matter, I place them along its route as I'm heading to it. So that when it runs away it will eat it and fall asleep it won't have much time to run and regain health because by the time its asleep I'm right there beating on its head again.

another thing to bring on hunts (at least what i have done in previous MH games i dont have MHW) is to bring potions+honey and make more mega pots in the hunt

I tried trapping my first elder dragon, because I didn't know you couldn't capture them. Was in a group with 3 randoms (SOS flare), all of whom must have thought me the biggest scrub ever. They were probably correct :P

most of the stuff that he says oyu might not get a lot of you can easily make the farm ALOT easier by using a upgraded ancient tree and constantly fertilizing, that gives you SO MANY MATS just set up the mats you want farmed, go do a low rank quest and kill it in like 5min and run around get any things you need to farm on the map and come back, rinse and repeat and you can have a stack of like 100 honey in an hour with other ingreadents near those numbers

Only the first hit that wakes the monster gets the bonus damage. If you hit the monster and the bombs to wake it up then only your attack will get the bonus damage.

What about whetfish fin?! Half the time of Whetstone. 2 cycles instead of 4. Easy to farm, can use a handful of times and you can bring 10. Free Speed Sharpening level 2 with out the need for decorations or specific armor. (Does not stack with Speed Sharpening skill) Still need Speed Sharpening level 3 for 1 cycle sharpening.

I would suggest making quest specific load outs. You're not leaving yourself any space to be dynamic on the fly. Way waay too much stuff in your inventory.

I don't cap monsters for the extra """high tier drops""". I capture them to """skip 25% of the fight""". It would be a waste to use traps while fighting, cause you surely can't cut down 25% health while the monster is trapped, and if you could do it, a trap would be even more of a waste, since you have no trouble.

Can you make a beginner guide sort of video where you explain the games mechanics

for elder dragon or any tempered hunt the 3 flash bangs would not be enough .. I think it is better just bring the flashbugs along so you can craft the flashbomb on the go without back to campsite

I HIGHT recommend bringing 10 Flash Bugs to make more flash pods on the fly. They are the most versatile and universally useful pod. 10 Flash Bugs always worth a slot

This seems a bit overkill for me personally but I guess it's always better to be safe than sorry :). Keep up the videos man.

you forgot nulberries who are usefull for eny elemental debuf wich is realy usefull against water and ice attack aswell as thunder no need for 10 demon and armour pots also anchiant potion is kindof overkill for most hunts (maby usefull for some realy realy hard hunts later on in the game once they release stuf like fatalis), i would instead grab some regular pots since you often will find honey to upgrade these for extended 2-3 monster hunts, another thing that is realy usefull is graging 10 flashbugs for eny creature that flies, also dont do nutriants, use the mega version instead.

Screamer pods don't work against diablos if it's enraged. It's going to work less than half of the fight.

Dash juice makes you run faster, I used it as ration replacement until being online and watching one by one everyone start running fast as hell, sipping glowing yellow from hand

yeah bezealguese is a real pain i was in the cavern area of the rotten valley like in the omagroen den and somehow he showed up and made the boss i was trying to kill go berserk.

Could you possibly make another video explaining how to farm these items? Need to try and grind them out quicker

I use the dung pods all the time when I am trying to farm a monster and the damn beetle juice b52 bomber keeps annoying the shit out of me.

you also eat the herbal medicine faster than the antidote potion. also really cheap to make. nice video. great tips. only HR 13 still knew all this :), i feel the rations and max potion/nutrients only matter after you die the first time and loose your meal buff. i get +50 hp and stam from my meal. wait you can use both powercharms and armorcharms at once(first and second version). yay i learnt something.

Herbal medicine is also much faster to use than antidotes, could save your life!

If monster is too hard also bring 10 normal potions and 10 honey to make more mega potions

I disagree with you about the buff's tash. regular demondrug and armorskin doesnt stack with their mega varient's so its best to replace the regular pot's with the powder's. ALSO. You should have told us the bonus % and times for them aswell. Demondrug and Armorskin grant 3% boost's to ATK and DEF and last till you faint. Mega varient's provide a 4% boost and DO NOT stack with the regular pot's. Demon Powder and Hardshell Powder stack with the pot's and grant a 6% boost to ATK and DEF that last's 3 Minutes. Might Pill and Adamant Pill stack with pot's AND powder, and grant a 10% boost to ATK and DEF, and last's 20 Seconds. If you have the Mushroomancer skill, Might Seed's and Armor Seed's grant the same buff as pot's, but DO NOT stack with pot's. im sure im missing something, but that's the basics. -Hoonter's Must Hoont!

Hi im kind of new to the monster hunter series, and i would like to ask, are might seeds worth using in combination with the demon drug?

What I do is take 1 of the Demondrug, Armorskin, and Energy Drink and save it as my default loadout. Everytime I start the mission, I drink them and they're cleared from my inventory so I can grab herbs or whatever. When I faint I can quickly use my loadout and it puts 1 back for me and also gets rid of any extra stuff in my inventory. I've been using them since HR began since it's really easy to stock up on them using the Ancient Tree

I would get 10 mega potion and then 10 normal potion and 10 honey. So I can auto craft when I don't have anymore mega potion.

As far as demon powder vs demondrugs, will they stack and for how long? Do you need to rebuff after you cart?

I bring honey herbs and flash bugs to keep up the potion/megas up (your inventory just seems cluttered imo but I like a neat inventory n such)

I had three monsters going at it couple of time.

Decent info on the items. I just hope you don't bring all of that with you. Just make different item loadouts. Makes it easier to refill items you have and store items you bring back.

10 potions, 10 honey, 10 mega potions, wide range 5, speed eating, free meal, recovery up etc. is my most used things the game. Mostly because 99% of the player base is utterly useless at the game.

You dont need to bring everything he listed, a combination of healing and cc is enough.

So the mega armor/attack juices last longer than the armor/attack seeds now?

That a lot of stuff to bring on the hunts but there is no space for gathering?

Wtf why do you bring megademon drug and normal demon drug (and the armor variants(, they don't stack together and either lasts until faint. Megademon drug is nearly useless compared to Demon drug (4% damage increase instead of 3%) Taking both with you is just dumb.

Im sorry but what is this loadout? You arent even bringing trap tools to make double the amount of traps for a hunt.

Noob players : 3 flash pods Pro players: 13 flash pods Get Flash Bug please and use the radial menu to craft flash pod while hunting so you have 13 flash pod total. I always see players having ONLY 3 flash pod wtf. You know how crucial flash pods are when fighting tempered monsters. Awesome vid btw.
