This is the correct way this filter should be set up for RIO, VISION, and LIDO tanks. JUWEL Bioflow filters come fitted with a highly efficient, silent Eccoflow circulation pump.
In which order do the filter sponges get inserted?
I have since found an original picture that shows the filter holders go in with the plastic to the outer edges. I have now rotated them around 90 degrees so the plastic does not get in the way of the inlet holes.

Mine is set up exactly the same and the poly pad lasts ages... juwel recommend setting it up there way and to replace sponges often as they know it makes them shit loads of money..I have had same sponges for years and they still going strong

Hi guys, brilliant video. Watch pond guru pimp my filter as he has advised to use biohome. I am actually stopping from external to this one as I prefer the ease of maintenance. Put a Resin pad on top to reduce all nitrates. And bulk foam and cut to your own measurements guts

I have been given a Juwel filter - well, parts of! It is missing the pump, external nozzle and lid. How do I know which model/ size it is i.e. which size pump, nozzle and lid to buy? It is 500mm tall. Has two baskets (with a basket of "little pebbles: between them and loads of sponges etc.) It needs the lid, the pump and the nozzle. I have several different filters I currently use (I was given lots of stuff) all of which I clean regularly but as I have the basis of the Juwel Bioflow I am wondering if i should invest in the pump, nozzle and lid?

Ive always had the heat rod the opposite end of the tank at the back and temperature indicator on the front opposite the heat rod so I can regerlate the right temperature for the tank.

I've mainly gone with the Fluval internal rage for that size tank. Although Interpet upgraded their range to include some Bio ring media. You can aim the flow at the glass to slow it down. I recall a filter that has flow control but not sure which and might have been for bigger tanks.

I have the Juwel Primo 110 and the sponges sit on top of each other. What cermaic media can I use instead of one of the sponges?

Juwel Cirax cartridge has ceramic biological filter medium that can be retro-fitted into your Juwel filter.

Monthly should be fine. Rinse the filters and bio, change the fine polish filter once it's not fit for purpose. Since these can easily lifted out easily means it's a lot less hassle. And thanks but I've done better lol but I've also seen worse

I now use external cannister because I'm a Bio media fan, can have so much of it lol. My recent 180 did not come with the Bioflow, because it was second hand. I may well have used it instead of 307 which I'm using currently.

Hi I'm debating to buy this filter for my koi fry fish tank. Looks a good shout. My tanks not a Juewl. So am I best siliconing this to the tank to stop the filter moving? Thanks

Definitely fix it and close the gaps because it is known that fish can get trapped behind. Which happened to small fish I started with.

@@SmartGadgetShow yh since this message I'm running two XL BIO FORCE filters, so far so good. There really good filters. I lose a foot in space but on a 7ft not much wasted really. Less headache then externals.

i have a juwel 140L cube tank but when i bought it the filter was already removed just the filter box was there i have been looking into buying the kit but i have been hesitant due to the price and not been able to find a description of whitch size i need and what is included in the kit. does the sponge, pump dividing peice of plastic and media holders come included? thanks for any advice in advance

I see the pipe is under the water? Mine is below the water and doesn't pump up the water, but the Impeller runs. I don't find the mistake.

For the pump to work the water level needs to be higher than the inlet at the top. Has the impeller and pump been cleaned recently?

It's a whisper. It's quite incredible how internal filters are inaudible.

I purchased the Juwel Bioflow Super 3 months ago and it's running since then. Today, I still can't here anything. You really have to put your ears at 10 cm in order to "hear" a very little sound. I have no vibrations at all. Sometimes I look at the flow coming out from the pump because I don't know if it is running or not (because it's sooo quiet). Hope it helps :)

Hi, can anybody tell me why my filter area is not filling up with water. I have cleaned all the filter sponges. If i take all the sponges out , it fills up. Its as if all the filter sponges are being sucked to the bottom? Help please.

The tank water level needs to be high enough to overflow into the cut outs on the side. And yes the sponges are fine going to the bottom. Maybe something you did differently that gave the odd outcome.

Why not just use Jewel Cirax which is purpose made for the filter rather than messing around with your own bio media?

More expensive. Pond foams also less cost by a long way. This is a DIY example. Anyone can just buy the branded items.

Do you have the fine filter floss (white) one? I'd use external if over 180 litre, or if heavily stocked.

Gadget Show Tech Unboxing Reviews . Yes I use the white filter. Also try jbl symec micro as they suggest me. Also try the set up from pimp my filter. Last 2 days I to close the upper hole with a sponge. I didn’t succeed crystal clear water.

It should, it's held in position with rubber suckers. Might need a wallpaper scraper to ease them loose. I also had a small fish get stuck n Die and rot there.

Yes it’s quite laborious but buy a couple of thin stanly knifes the ones that retract and remove the canister by cutting through the rubber bonding cups ?? Once removed get a heavy duty razor blade and remove the black rubber being carful not to scratch your tank .

Bad filter. Little bit better. But trow the white holders away. Fil the whole filter with bioballs. Every ball more is cleaner water and it up with a origional blue ore green top filter. And ready 5kg bio balls.

This internal filter is absolutely wank, fish hide in it, and I run 2 fluval 107s on it, I’ve removed the box to and guess what, that big horrible black box cannot be seen anymore and there’s more room in the tank, if you use these shity filters, then give yourselves a slap 👋 and get an external filter, doesn’t have to be fluval just get an external fact
