Vafunseekers* that’s the hardest question to answer 😂😂😆😆 It usually depends on the situation and who is with me, like if I’m bringing a friend to Lancaster who’s never been there before, I would choose the bigger buffets so they have the most to choose from. Here’s another problem for me as to choosing a favorite- I love certain dishes at certain places!!! In fact if I could choose the perfect meal, it would come from about 4 different places 😆☺️ But let me really answer your question 🤪 I would probably choose Bird-in-Hand because I LOVE their ham balls and there’s nothing there I don’t like! Plus I have sentimental feelings about Bird-in-Hand. A close 2nd would be Dienners 🥰🥰
This is a great video! We are not a big fan of Yoder's but I will stand in line for Shady Maple. I don't remember the name but on a earlier video there was a buffet restaurant in Lititz. Have you had a chance to try it? Really enjoyed the video on my favorite subject.
Hi David ☺️ and thank you! We’ve actually never been to Yoder’s so I can’t make any arguments for or against 😆. So yes, I believe you are referring to Lititz Family Cupboard and they did not make this video because they don’t offer their buffet during the week - only on weekends 👍 and no, haven’t tried them either! I have a lot of reviews to do this summer ☺️🤩👏😍!!!
It is a place like no other when it comes to long-standing well loved local restaurants and buffets 😊👍🤩. Truly a special place!! And sooooo yummy!! Hope you get to go on a buffer tour in Lancaster someday!! 👏😍👏

From a local's perspective, we stick with Miller's regardless of price. The quality is that good. Don't know how you feel about Asian cuisine, but there is also Manor Buffet on Rte. 30 (that stretch west of 896 that all locals hate) that is outstanding.
I'm kind of surprised any of these buffets are open 7 days. Seems that most would be closed Sunday because Amish and Mennonite are strict about the Sabbath.
Hi Michael, I believe that the Amish and Mennonite run restaurants are the ones that are still closed Sundays, like Dienners, Shady Maple, and even Bird-in-Hand seems to still hold to their heritage in this way. But I think the current generation of owners/managers of the others, don’t feel the same about the day of rest/Sabbath. It is an interesting observation for sure 🧐
If you are asking whether I have other videos besides buffets yes 👍 I do a good amount of footage on buffets bc they are so popular and a good way for a visitor to sample many different local dishes. I do have several places to recommend if you would like but I will list 2 here awhile. Katie’s Kitchen is an Amish owned and operated home cooked restaurant. The other is a different option - a fresh cafe feel in Strasburg. It’s called Speckler Hen. It is very delicious and fresh and more lighter meals.
