I got one of these online for $50 the only down side is the noise but it is really effective cooling pad. Sweet spot for me is around 1000 - 1200 rpm while gaming. Also is has a spare dust filter inside the box.
Considering the massive cooling potential the noise is not unexpected, you can run it much slower and cooling would still be amazing for high performance hot laptops.
Great video, thank you! It would be nice if we know the ambient temperature during the testing. Most Tech RU-vidrs dont add that number. So we know the difference in temperature when we're on a colder / hotter environment. Thank you!
Just got both the IETS and llano gaming laptop coolers. Gotta say, IETS does a decent job, solid cooling, and a cool look. But, hands down, Llano takes the cake for me. Llano cools like a champ, especially when you're pushing your laptop in a marathon gaming session. It's like an instant chill button for your laptop. And when you're pushing your hardware to the max, that really matters. Llano's got the edge in the cooling department, no doubt. If you're in the market for a good gaming laptop cooler, my vote leans towards LLANO. Just my two cents for anyone looking to make a choice! 💻👍
@@iamtummyliciousm9045 Between the llano v12 and the iets gt626, the llano stands out when it comes to cooling performance. While the maximum RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) is a reference point, what truly matters is the temperature reduction and its impact on your gaming laptop's performance. In this regard, the llano excels and offers superior cooling capabilities, ensuring your laptop runs at optimal temperatures for peak performance
@@bluebehrry8473 never had the chance to compare both iets gt626 bec I went to purchase the ilano. so far many people talk about how loud these laptop coolers can be and most of them say the ilano is louder, for me before buying, i thought that the noise would make a big issue to me, but the thing is, I think it still comes down to each person, I’m used to using iems or in-ear monitoring headsets and able to listen to music on high volume and got accustomed to different treble settings that’s why the noise that the ilano makes doesn’t bother me at all, even to the point that it gets so annoying over a long period being used. also it does its job on lowering my gaming laptop’s temp already at 1300-1600 setting and would only bump up the rpm to 2000-2400 range if I’m not in a controlled room temp. In a room without air conditioning, if you use the 2k+ rpm setting, I still wouldn’t notice the noise at all nor it gets my attention. so far I’m so happy with my purchase bec this kind of laptop cooler really does the job in lowering my laptop’s temp and helps in keeping/maintaining the temp within acceptable range compared to some laptop coolers I had before that doesn’t help at all, but with this you can see the difference real time, like when it’s turned off my cpu temp reaches around 60-65c, but once I turn it on, it significantly drops within a minute or two, lowest temp registered can reach as low as 37c and keeps it around 40-50c with just 1600rpm.
The best cooling pad ever for laptop, im using it few months now, it dramatically helps reduce the temperature and keep ur laptop cool all the time even with heavy gaming. A must have for gaming laptop. 🎉🎉🎉
Great review, but I find it strange to raise serious concerns about the noise levels in this situation. It’s louder than the IETS unit because the fan runs faster, same reason it produces better results. Moving lots of air through a small space makes noise, there’s no getting away from it. It’s not the unit’s fault, and every single one that runs that fast will have that same noise. I love the handy speed dial, and something that would have been good to mention in this review, is the fact that at the lowest setting it’s quieter than most of the cheaper pads that are reviewed here, and yet it yields a far bigger improvement. That alone is worthy of a higher price, but the review also raises concerns that it’s more expensive than the *lower spec’d* GT500 v2, which is also weird.
Hey there! Thanks for the detailed review of the Llano laptop cooling pad. It's always great to see new products challenging the reigning champions. The cooling performance of the Llano seems impressive, especially the 20°C drop in CPU temperature compared to the stock setup. However, I do share your concern about the noise level. 75 dB is quite loud, and it might not be comfortable for extended use. Noise can be a deal-breaker for many users, especially in quieter environments. Another point you raised is the price. At $109.99 MSRP, it does seem on the expensive side, even with the 15% off coupon. The IETS GT500 V2 with its better noise level and competitive performance might be a more attractive option for those looking for a balance between performance and price. I appreciate your recommendation and value-focused approach, as it helps viewers make informed decisions based on their preferences and priorities. Keep up the great work with your reviews, and I look forward to more of your content! 👍
He didn't make it clear if the noise levels were measured with or without a laptop on top. If measured without a laptop atop, it might be more muffled (or at least the sound directed at the bottom and away) with the laptop on the cooler.
£130 in UK, so around $165. GT500 is around £100 mark. Both are too expensive but both are the best for actual cooling. I personally prefer the Klim Everest, after having tested quite a few, this uses the similar vacuum space design as Llano and gt500, the fans aren't as powerful but that means it'll be a decent bit quieter too. For price to performance, the Klim Everest is my top pick considering I picked it up for £35 and it works amazingly.
I bought the new 2024 Llano laptop cooler, free shipping and super quick home delivery on Swedish Amazon site. But i paid a freaking 1500.99 SEK. That is 142.54 usd in total. Most expensive laptop cooling pad ever! It damn better be extremely effective and good.
Any chance of a showdown between the upgraded Llano and the GT626? Both 2800 rpm. Both have dust filters. Which cools better? Which is quieter and is it quieter at all speeds? Which has better build quality? Which has better angles of adjustment? The Llano seems to have gotten an update in late December 2023/January 2024 and they are calling it an upgraded and quieter version on Amazon. Is it? Does the two stage filtering of 626 make it easier to keep the filters clean? Which has better RGB? Better/more ports? The IETS webpage says the 600 isn’t officially out yet and the versions that are available aren’t the latest versions of it.
I will admit the Llano keeps my CPU much cooler. I use a CPU Temp tracker and on my first day using it, at 400rpm, it kept my worst core from thermal throttling. It would hit 100C previously. Today it did not go beyond 93. My other cores that were peaking in the mid 80's to low 90's stayed in the 70's. This thing works well on it's quite mode (400rpm) with my ACER NITRO 5.
The iets gt600 also have the same design with the larger fan at 2800 max RPM, and its suppose to be quieter than the iets gt500. If you can, i hope you will test the gt600 too. Laptop coolers like this are much more important when ambient room temperature is around 28 celcius and can go up to 33 celcius.
Theyre the same its pointless to test them both lol. Would take iets if you prefer the feets. Liano is much easier to clean way cheaper . The dust filter is questionable though
I'd assume these coolers work optimally when the laptops have intake vents directly below their fans. Do they actually blow air to the entire bottom case of the laptops?
Great review. I usually think laptop coolers are gimmicks, and to this day they could have found a whole new way of cooling them (like what they're doing with the Llano and the previous top laptop cooler, the same logic that applies to the PS5 cooling fan [as it's just one large, thick fan])
So i recently bought a dualfan cooling pad bcuz i liked the rbg light but i realized the fans are so crappy. Im planning on buying this one and trying it out and see if it helps cool down my nitro5
amazing review. If you dont mind can you tell me how this compares to the Elelak brand? F60 gaming labtop cooling pad for 14 to 17 inch labtops. Thank you for the great video
@@mattscomputerservices I do got one more question for you? so I just purchased this laptop cooler just today and wanted to know if this will fit a 14 inch Gaming laptop? And what is the wattage of this cooler?
@ahmedalmomani5559 I decided to get the iets GT500 V2 because the llamo is only compatible with 15 inch to 17 inch laptops. Not 14 inch sadly. I haven't bought it.
@@LugiaDaryl27 can you tell me how is your laptop thermals after using it? Is it worth buying? and on reddit many complained about the “unbearable noise” of gt 500, is it true?
I've been using the IETS for over a year and I love this cooling pad. Think it's the first time I saw a real difference in a cooling pad and actually made sense to buy. But if the Llano is that much louder than it I think that's a fail. I know alot of people use headphones while gaming, but that's no excuse. Maybe a v2 can make it a bit quieter.
WHY is it not possible to test silence performance on 25% 50% and 75% how silent is it then ? how much cooling power does it lose ? do these things only have a 0% and 100% button on them or why they put a wheel there ???? so u DONT USE IT ??
Will using the USB Hub via USB-C to USB-A draw less power from the laptop? Ex. Connecting mouse/keyboard onto the Ilano cooler instead of directly to the laptop. Or is the difference negligible?
This fan is extremely loud. I mean extreme. I have it but unfortunately, as much as it helps the keep the temp down, noise level won't allow you to use it to the full potential then the question is, why pay this much money if one can't use it with the reasonable RPM?
If your talking about the side vent cooler. The KLIM vacuum cooler is a HUGE SCAM. I bought it and my temps didn't even go down 1 DEGREE. I used it with a cooling pad too and it did nothing. maybe you could try a different brand and buy 2 of them for each side of your laptop. But yes you could use both. You could also try the Olmaster Laptop cooler
I just got one of these and the power button feels like you need to be the incredible hulk to turn it on and off. Anyone else having any issues with this?
Can someone help me? I'm staying in a dorm and I want to use a laptop while people are sleeping. Do 300-500 rpm sounds make a lot of noise? I don't want to disturb sleeping people
Just got mine today V13. Should have bought one of these awhile ago. I have a new heavy duty gaming laptop and the son of a bitch would heat up so fast even when I'm just browsing the internet. Finally can keep it cool even on the lowest setting of 300 when browsing and prob 600 when gaming. Haha I have no idea why you ever have to go past or even close to 2800 RPM.
@@Grimmjow19872 Yes it was really good my previous setup i only use IETS GT202 Vacuum Exhaust . my previous temp at idle is 40 to 45 degrees and onload or in gaming around 60 to 65.. now my temp with IETS GT202 Vacuum exhaust plus LLANO laptop cooler at idle temp is 25 to 35 degrees and on gaming around 40 to 50 degrees.
I tried and absolutely failed to cool down the temperature by more than 5 degrees on max power. The unit makes a noise similar to an aircraft engine. At low RPM (300), it does nothing, and up to 1200 RPM, the noise becomes ridiculous. The sealing pad flies off if you go high RPM. I have a 16-inch Zyperus G16 2024, which covers the entire pad, not a small laptop. After three days of use, the low RPM (300) started making noise too. A lot of dust and debris has been sucked into the fan. I would say I am going to create a RU-vid channel with honest reviews, not sponsored, paid crap and lies.
Can you help me.when I turn on my pc it boots to bios and not windows and most of the time it (while in bios)doesn’t show my ssd in storage information or boot priority
hey TEST out a side vent cooler. I have a Asus G14 laptop and it's always super hot. I need both a stand cooler and a side vent cooler. I tired the KLIM side vent and my temps didn't go down 1 degree. So far it seems like the side vent coolers are a SCAM. anyone plz help lol. I do see you have the Vacuum cooler 3rd on your list... That item is 1000000% a SCAM
Technician here. For me, Cooling laptop are only recommend for older gaming laptop (like the gt series) or laptop with ugly air vent (like the asus tuf fx505 designs). Dont use it on newer laptop (2022 above) of Nitro, ROG, LOQ, or Predator as its dual fan are usually good as it is. Cooling pad helps but it cause more problem than benefits, like putting more dust inside the laptop. Temp drop isnt that good too and gaming laptop today can handle those 70C all day. So for me, dont buy any cooling pad if you have a new model of gaming laptop. If its overheating, clean it and maybe replace the thermal paste.
The best one is its gt600:skull: either is fine but one with the lowest noise wind in. Literally the same product That external power supply is a waste of space lol just get PD 9/12v USB c to dc Usb hub on these cooler will always be a meme unless ure not gaming ...for external storage imo Ummm aint Liano's 40$... Who tf almost tripled the price
He buy the expensive website 😂😂 some people when they see cheap price they won't buy they will think it scam...I'm also online seller so I know when I make a cheap product like $1 no one buy it for 1month no buyer then I changed to $5 people buy it 1month around 1@2people then more people review n give trust to product that I sell
Llano cools 10 degrees more at max fan speed... matching the 626 cooling properties Llano goes down to 60db. Llano is better (and cheaper... if you dont buy the 155 dollar one. Like bro fr, why the fuck is it 3 times more expensive on 80 webites)
