To everyone who complains about the plastic being cheap and "easily breakable", brother, your laptop wont work if you drop it too, doesnt mean its cheap plastic does it? If you treat everything right, itll definitely last you more than it would if you dont properly treat it lmao. Makes no sense to say its bad quality if youre going to be dropping it every chance you get

Right? Like, you place your laptop on a table, or in a secure, somewhat padded bag if traveling with it. A bath tissue is easily breakable but as long as you're not tossing it around and mangling it, it's completely fine. My $5 phone case is perfect since I'm not going around throwing and dropping that shit everywhere, where people spending $50+ on something that works if dropped from an airplane smh.

This is the perfect solution to the laptop thermal problems. I am studying mechanical engineering and my 2018 dell g7 is definitely twards the end of it's ropes thermaly that i started planning on 3d printing this exact solution an pairing it with a comically overpowered fan. "Turbo charging" it so to say. A lot of these laptops have more to give but they simply can't dump the heat fast enough due to their form factor. This is a really good design that solves that problem and im glad to see a company behave this way with their marketing standing behind their products.

A radical redesign of the "laptop" form factor is what the industry needs. Sure, bulking the physical size (internally and externally) HELPS, but not by enough. Desktops stay so much more reliable because they have the interchangeability of parts and better solutions for thermals, power, and I/O. The ROG Mothership is a great example of how portable PCs capable of mobile gaming can have a great and very functional design simultaneously.

@@Sharpless2 Well mate, I brought my nearly 3 grand desktop PC with me over the border and nearly got it confiscated even with all the paperwork just because it looked ''more expensive'' and ''probably'' stolen, even tho it's not. As for the laptop, they never bothered me with it at the border because it was lowkey and normal, plus I didn't have to pay the driver for more luggage and was able to carry more clothes. I travel abroad every 6 months for work. It also sucks when you have to borrow a bloody TV just to play at 60Hz instead of 155Hz when I'm not traveling and am back home. I'll probably buy some cheap gaming laptop for this year's trip, and buy me a proper gaming laptop when I get there.

After this video, I bought the V12 version for my Gigabyte X17 XES and... (we're building suspense here) Man, it works. Of course, if you buy a gaming laptop with an i9 processor on board, you can also use it as a hair dryer (Lupe could use it for his debatably beautiful blonde hair), but with this nice pece of engineering the temperatures are really lower. Sadly there is no distribution in Poland, and switching off RGB is a bit anoying as you have to do it every time you switch on the cooling pad, but in the end in my opinion this is first device of that kind that realy works.

Gaming laptops have always had issues with heat, having a cooler is honestly a must these days and sadly most are cheap crap that doesn't do much, some may even damage your machine thanks to the fans blowing the wrong way (I've seen it, dont ask htf they sold it that way) this at least seems to have some actual thought into its design, the added foam seel seems like an interesting addition, and those extra adjustments on the feet look good for the taller user like myself lol, a big issue I have with laptops other than the lack of upgrading options, is the beck pain I get from them, so even a couple of extra inches is a bonus for me. The only problem I have is on max speed the Ilano is pretty loud, but as long as I'm not pushing my laptop to the absolute limit, the Ilano never really needs to be that fast

My Envy gets super hot above the top row of keys, under the screen. At this point, we have several thousand dollars invested, so this is a huge concern during extensive gaming sessions together. Thanks again for a great review!!👍🏻

they do seem useful, as many older laptops do also suffer form overheating as its having to work harder to keep up to the everchanging demands on modern applications and software.

Never knew that having a fan direct to the laptop would actually help reducing the temperature. I might try it one day...

As someone whom purchased the Llano Cooler msyself before this Video came out before summer hit here in Colorado, I recommend this thing 100% for anyone with a gaming laptop. I overclock my stuff for the most bang for buck and having cooling is essential. I got the cooler and Usually have it around 1500 to 2000 RPM since my house is an oven even with the ACs going. And the temps stay around 50 under Load and CPU depending on which game can boost to 4.2Ghz with its temps being 85-90 which before the CPU would spike to 95 degrees before climbing to 100. So I would recommend this Cooler to anyone whom is DOubtful about the product as 100 dollars is worthwhile for an investment going for 3k. And for the Giggles I usually if I am rendering or Mining when I am not using my Laptop. I max out the fan speed on the Llano cooler and my temps wont go over 60. So all in all 100% recommend to anyone who needs or is looking into a Laptop Cooler.

Since I'm not in the US (French so no discount for me), I decided to buy one myself. I first made sure first to clean my PC from the inside and repaste everything before reusing it. It's my first time using a laptop cooler and I chose the White, Non-RGB version so llano, if you're here, here's my feeling about it: I like how user-friendly the laptop cooler is. One button, a wheel for RPM and ports on the right. That's all it is required and if I have any doubt, The user manual is very simple to understand. Only question I have is why the same steps is written twice with the same language? I also like how good the change in temperatures are now! Before, I could play my games and feel my laptop being hot enough to cook an egg. Now, it's not freezing but it's way less hot. CPU doesn't overheat when checking with AIDA64 and I can feel it by touching my laptop. Doesn't go past 50°C. Lastly, I appreciate how the laptop cooler possess ports, with 3 A-Type port and one C-Type port. I can charge my phone and uses the other ports for other stuffs. Pretty neat! Ah, and you get a mouse pad with it, which was coincidentally what I needed soo... Thanks llano! Now I had some issues, one being the price and unless it's a bug, seeing the difference between the white version (Non-RGB, the one I bought, 100€) and the Black one (Possibly RBG, Black, 400€) was confusing and worrying. But eh. Other issue, that doesn't really bother me but comments did complain about, is how it technically turn your laptop into a desktop since the laptop cooler requires a charger that needs to be plugged. Like I said, I don't care because this con doesn't overwhelm the pros. Last being the noises but it's not actually as bad as I thought. It doesn't reach my sibling's room and as for me, nothing a good headphone can't cover. That's all for my short review, thanks llano, Thanks The Greatest Technician That Ever Lived for showcasing this laptop cooler and have a good reading everyone ^^

I’ve got the ASUS g16 2024. Gets HOT when gaming and pretty warm on normal surfing and watching RU-vid. Saw the short you made on the llano cooler. Purchased one and WOW what a difference!! Noise doesn’t bother me. I run the cooler at 1700 when gaming. Only thing I had to do was trim the foam a bit on top so that the exit ducts would not be blocked. Works great. On casual surfing the gpu is at 28-33c. Gaming it’s at 55-66c. It definitely works.

I've had a few laptop coolers that didn't really work, currently have my Asus gaming laptop on a wire mesh stand with two 120mm fans blowing on it from directly underneath. Definitely gonna check these new coolers out!

I used the same concept to make a sealed chamber for my gaming laptop on my cooler pad. The temps on my MSI Vector GP66HX dropped into the mid 70s when gaming on both CPU and GPU. My next plan for the cooler is better fans.

This is something I'm looing to get for my wifes aging Zephyrus G14. The foam sealer and radial fans are a great idea as they produce much greater static pressure. I think the next gen will be quieter as they learn to optimize their fan for acoustics.

I absolutely would love one of the smaller ones for my current laptop. It isn't for gaming by any means, but it tends to get a bit toasty when the sun cranks up to a kbgkjbkillion degrees outside.

I'm using one of these on a super heat generating laptop (i9-14900HX & Nvidia 4090 GPU) and just sitting at idle (watching video's or browsing forums) this cooler at 300 RPM where I can barely hear it drops the CPU from 56c to 48c and the GPU from 45c to 37c. The GPU fan completely shuts off also. When stressing it with a game like Last Epoch driving an external 3440x1440 monitor at 120fps is doesn't have as much effect (percentage wise) but at 900RPM it still drops the temps by 8~10c, which pulls the CPU temps down to the 80c range instead of bumping over 90c. At that point the laptop fans are also running at full speed of course. Overall I'm happy with the cooler, which I actually purchased before seeing this video. Good review though and my experience with it agrees with your results.
