Had the dealer applied ceramic coating on my new truck. I installed the Turtle Wax Max on the wife's new car and I am very happy with the Turtle wax. Slicker and better water repelancy. I was surprised at the added slickness when I used the Turtle Wax Flex after washing s few times on both the truck and car. Flex Wax added much better hydrophobic and added gloss + slickness.

Don’t really use carnuba waxes much. I do like the Meguiers gold class paste wax tho. But for time & ease I stick with TW seal & shine & Griots ceramic spray version. Both last an easy 9 months in the tough Chicago conditions. Side note, the TW is so slick that snow will just slide off i huge chunks when clearing it off.

Hey Pan, I’m currently testing Glossome by Phoenix EOD on my Black 2010 Mustang GT front fender. I applied it September 14, 2022, so it’s at 3 1/2 months. Glossome has seen weekly washes, with 2 of those being high Alkaline strip car soaps. It is definitely still there beading and sheeting water depending of course upon the spray nozzle setting. Will continue to test. Thanks so much for a great comparison video, hope this helps and I really appreciate all you do. 🙏🏻

I apply Collinite 845 to my 31ft RV. It's a brutal job covering that much area, takes me 2-3 days. I do it once a year, and use toppers after washes to help extend it. The Collinite provides unbelievable protection. Have tried many products, but Collinite gives me the longest durability and will bead/sheet water off the RV the longest.

Thanks Pan as always a great video full of information which was fantastic mate. I have used the 3 Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro range, starting with the 1 and done polish then the Too The Max Graphene and then finally topped off with the Graphene Flex wax. I live on the Central Coast NSW Australia and since doing the full decontamination, polish, and coating 8 months ago I have found the performance and overall lasting protection fantastic. As you said you do get what you pay for, and the effort you put in makes a big difference. I do add a topper of Flex Wax about every 3rd wash as it's ease of use is brilliant. I just think that common waxes are a thing of the past. Granted, some of them have their place, but items like Buttery Wax do give gloss, but offer little protection and do not last that long. I've used the Turtle Wax Graphene Wax and have had great results with it. And with durability- it's not only the washes that break down the wax, it's all of the other factors that are out of our control- one of them being weather.

Hi everyone! I am still relatively new to the space and for the most part, as I would call it, a hobby detailer. I like to hand wash my own car, unfortunately where I live it is not allowed to wash in in front of your house ( idk why I believe something to do with the chemicals in the products), this means I have to do this kind of stuff in wash boxes late at night or early in the morning. Either way, I have a question. I want to buy a product that I can apply on top of my wax for some extra protection. I was thinking Gyeon Wetcoat, but this needs a wet surface, which after waxing the car is not the case. Is there something like that to easily apply after waxing? Or do I apply something else before waxing? For example on top of the Liquid insulator or before applying the liquid insulator. All tips and tricks are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Hi Owen. Yes that sealant and wax combo is still amazing if that's the protection you want. But in the past years, ceramic coatings (in glass bottles) and ceramic spray sealants have really taken off as they are far more durable, so I focus more on those types of protections. A sealant and wax combo will never last as long as a true ceramic coating. Waxes last for a few months, sealants 4-6 months at best, and then ceramic sprays can last 6-12 months (depending which one you buy) and true coatings in glass bottles last for years. See my video on the differences between all three types of paint protection: wax, sealant, and coating. Here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4ejfPHan3k4.htmlsi=GpjG5RAAUQvRemWq

I live in Puerto Rico. Since it is a tropical island, we have sun all year long and don't have to deal with snow, salt, etc like there in Canada and the northern states. So any of these waxes and sealants should last between 2 and 6 months. I applied Chemical Guys Jet Seal to my dad's brand new car and top it with Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax. The protection lasted 7 months washing it weekly. The shampoo I used for the maintenance was Chemical Guys Glossworkz. To my personal brand new car that I had I applied CarPro Quartz UK 3.0 ceramic coating. Used CarPro Reset Shampoo for maintenance, but I couldn't see its durability since I had to get rid of the car 1 year after getting it. I have never used one of these before though.

It is garage kept and I live in the desert of WA state, but the car is my daily driver and sits in the parking lot at work all day. The windshield still rolls water off without need of wipers. It doesn't bead as tight in the paint as it did the first year or two, but I am amazed at how well it is still doing. Been fighting back issues, but plan to do a touch up correction and go to adams advanced graphene on it if I can get things squared away with redoing nerve ablations for my low back before spring.

Hi, I'm a little confused by washes, do you have major and minor ones? You mention there might be an oily residue that comes to the surface a day it so after the wash and not to worry that it comes off on the next wash, I'm assuming this would then be a wash where you don't apply more wax? One of your vids you finished washing your gorgeous Porsche and then applied the P&S beadmaker before using your air dryer to dry the car. Is it at this stage you would then stop? Thanks

What video are you referring to? That seems odd. Normally, I would blow dry the vehicle first, and then use a drying aid like Bead Maker to pick up any residual droplets and boost gloss and slickness as a final touch. I haven't tested that combo, but I did try the other combo Turtle Wax recommends, which is a base coat of the graphene + ceramic paste wax, topped with Flex Wax, and that works great, because you can use Flex Wax afterwards as a spray on rinse off method. In theory, nothing prevents you from applying a regular wax or sealant on top of a coating. But in practice, we never recommend this as you would be masking the coating's superior properties. Also, the coating would end up rejecting the topper anyways, as it's not meant to be super compatible, so durability of that wax or sealant would not be very long. For coatings, stick to ceramic or graphene maintenance sprays.

Don't apply regular waxes or sealants on top of ceramic coatings. You would be masking the coating's superior properties and the coating would end up rejecting the wax/sealant anyways. To maintain coatings, you use ceramic sprays. I have a ceramic coating maintenance tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IqIW78FmRYU.htmlsi=F5st043oyb4HFC4l If you don't feel comfortable applying the full blown ceramic coatings, those in glass bottles that last for years, you can apply spray coatings that are simple spray on a towel, wipe on, buff off. Those can still outlast any regular wax, as sprays typically last 6-12 months. The best being Gyeon CanCoat EVO. See the full application tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VnE0b0nsiMU.htmlsi=_1og-iOAiurRW6S_ Welcome to my channel. I live in south central Maine U.S. and do not garage my Tornado (flat) Red GTI, which is the vehicle that I have primarily used the MAX WAX. I have used it on several clients' cars who garage their vehicles, which has tended to give the wax some longevity. That being said, for my GTI, my priorities are appearance. Durability is important, yes, but I obsess over it enough that it's not my top concern. What I really like about the MAX along with gloss and shine is the jetting effect on the red paint. It definitely gives it a deeper tone - possibly due to the Carnuba content(?) Imho it's gr8 stuff. The extra step with the damp cloth (for me) is minor. I use that technique with all of their higher end products - Seal&Shine and Ceramics included. It just works... Imho topping the MAX with FLEX occasionally is a terrific combo. Keep up your good work - shine on you crazy diamond!

Thanks Audie! And thanks for sharing your personal experience. How many months of durability do you get from Max Wax? I typically see 4 to 5 months in my conditions. But yeah the gloss and slickness are awesome on it!

@Pan The Organizer hi Pan, honestly, I can't really say about the MAX durability. Although it seems solid, my OCD won't let me wait that long...lol. Usually, within 4-5 weeks, I've topped it with FLEX spray. And then, sometime after that, I've coated it with the Ceramic Graphene Paste. THAT👈🏼 combo the last 2 seasons has been bulletproof. Punch up my channel, I made a short show-off vid! Thx Pan, I always appreciate your mojo.
