Luigi has absurd kill power and absurd combo game, but his terrible recovery, terrible neutral, and the fact that he gets juggled easily DESPIE having a combo break makes him balanced.

Luigi is amazing when he gets close to do his combos but he loses to zoners really hard

Yes Luigi is powerful, but his one weakness is a big weakness. Recovering. Luigi's recovery has very little horizontal movement and when he's off-stage it is so easy to gimp him. and successfully gimping Luigi at least one time, will result in death. And since this game very much so rewards off-stage plays and gimps, Luigi is a very high-risk and exploitable character. So basically, he's got very high highs, but that one negative is a BIG negative. Even still I love Luigi and think he is one of the most fun characters in the game.

Yeah I completely agree and especially since we’re still in the beginning with this, even one of the commentators said he’s getting this work in before 2.0 while he can. Updates will always be coming, but everyone wants to expect a perfect fix and that’s not reality.

Still though if my punish results in 20 dmg at most compared to their potential 0-death or 81 dmg combo, that can’t be acceptable.

I disagree with those who are saying to nerf Luigi. Have you seen what they’ve done to Luigi? I sure have. My friend was a Luigi main for smash 4 and one of his biggest tools was the cyclone to help him recover, but now for some reason they decide to make it not help his recovery at all. And then his 0 to death combo, it’s like every other week my friend points out that they nerfed his down air or something to make it impossible and once he finds a way to do it they nerf that too. Elegant is really special to be able to pull this off with Luigi knowing how nerfed he got from Smash 4 and throughout this games patches. So yeah, people saying they should nerf Luigi, well, they kinda already have.

Unlike wobbling this actually takes skill and this doesn't work at any percent lmao
