In this video I cover the best lures to catch Flounder. There are several lures available that work well for Flounder, but I have narrowed this down to my top 3 best lures to catch Flounder. These top 3 lures for Flounder are the Egret VUDU Shrimp, Egret Wedgetail Mullet and the ever popular Berkely Gulp Swimming Mullet and Jerk Shad. Love the tips! Going to hit LL tonight around some dock lights and tomorrow on the flats and some of those points. I have only caught one flattie in there this summer so expecting more specks and reds. Great video!

+Fishing yeah the Flounder have been tough in LL but there are definitely some big ones in there. All my luck has come from the Pass for flounder. The lights in LL are on Fire right now!

Man even though you can’t keep them right now, now is the time to catch them because they are thick around the pass.

Thanks for the video. I have also had luck with all those lures with flounder and reds, but scents will not adhere to Vudu lures.

Nice in depth video👍 I've been catching them on the Egret 3.5" bayou chub in cajun pepper/chartreuse with menhaden pro cure. Landed a nice 18 incher in my last video!!

Thanks man! Egret makes a heck of a lure man, you really can't beat their durability and tight action. I have not used the Bayou Chub yet maybe I should check it out!

@@southernsalt The flats love it. I was throwing other minnow soft plastics without much luck then tried the bayou chub. It was like someone turned a switch on.....I haven't had a flattie let go of one yet.

Great information. Will try the Vudu shrimp. Flounder have been eluding me lately. Do you have a preference, or have more success, with a particular color?

I always try to stay as natural as possible, however the most important thing is that the fish can see the lure. Use naturals in clear water, darks in dirty water and brights in low light conditions.
