The links do not seem to work, maybe due to me being in another country. It just sends me to a generic Amazon search, sometime with totally unrelated results. Could you maybe include the product names so international viewers can search for them manually?
Have you seen this one? www.amazon.com/dp/B08NCFN2H4 Same company as the car air vent mount/charger you recommend in the video and says it supports the full 15w
@@marnixpro I found the stand I was looking for by searching Amazon manually, looking at the products with similar pictures. Of anyone from Germany is interested, I can fetch the links. Maybe you’ll have similar success with that approach for the car mount.
i know eh! useless review video lol. Its good, but bad, won't hold 3 cards, and the magnets suck; but if you want it to fall off and lose your wallet, its great!
I'm genuinely surprised Apple and all these other companies haven't made a Magsafe battery case so far. especially for the Mini, it seems like an obvious gimme
Seriously. My Mini’s battery life is great for pandemic life since I’m usually at home, but once COVID is over I’m gonna want just a little more battery to get me through the day. A battery case would be amazing, especially if it’s not too bulky
Magsafe Battery Pack is better solution just snap the battery to your phone and go on i am sure about apple is gonna drop that in several months This is why they didn’t release battery case for 12 series yet
No, because it's not what the name implies. You still plug it in. So now instead of me placing my iPhone on a dock to charge, which is plugged into the wall, I can lay it down on a disc to charge, which is plugged into the wall. Only now, it's no longer standing so I can see it on my nightstand, and it's charging at a fraction of the speed. Progress!!
I definitely think they have a long way to go. I do like them when I plan to keep my phone on a charger for a long time like on my nightstand and on my desk when I’m working or gaming. In neither of those scenarios do I need the phone to charge fast, and not having to plug or unplug the phone each time I need to use it is a nice benefit. But if you’re needing to recharge your phone to make it through the day, then wireless definitely isn’t the way to go. I do hope to see this technology progress in the future.
I mean, I haven’t used a charging cable for 3 years. 3 years. If you think they are overrated, then it’s not for you.p, meaning you only have one or tried it once but never understood how it is different from wired charging in a sense on how frequently it’s supposed to be charged.
...there’s literally no walled garden with MagSafe. It’s just Qi charging with some magnets for alignment. You can use any Qi accessories you want lmao
@@TobySimone yeah but that MagSafe function gives you faster wireless charging by double.. personally it’s why I like to use it, because it’s wireless charging while the phone is in my hand lol... but I ordered that Belkin 3 in 1 charger since they worked with Apple on it, feel I can trust that one better lol
First I though that magsafe was the dumbest idea ever. but now seeing all the accessories I think its amazing. And you can still use the normal wireless charger if you want.
Okay, the title states these things he's suggesting are the "Best" and then describes each one and says "the Apple version is much better". Maybe you should say you have found cheap knockoffs that do the same thing, just not as good and don't look as good, but you'll save a few bucks. This video basically solidified buying Apple products or Apple approved products because they simply work better and look better.
Why would u want a car mount to wireless charge thats dumb. Either way you got cords running through your car. Just plug a lightning cable charger to your phone literally no different still a cord in the way. Just get the best/strongest mount that wont drop you phone on a bumby road. Also why would u use a controller on a iphone to play call of duty or what ever just get a pc or playstation to play like that. Iphone games are for playing at doctors or at work lunch break or if your a gas station worker and your bored. Idk just seems weird to me 🤷♂️
I find the wallet really handy, but what I’d really like is a car mount that both holds and charges the phone in one unit. I know they exist, but they all seem to be from cheap brands, it’d be good to see one come out from Apple, Belkin or another reputable brand. For me, wireless charging is a gimmick. It’s far slower to charge than with a lightning cable plugged in and only saves a second or two in connection time, so it’s not really a big convenience unless you’re super lazy. I understand it might help increase waterproofing the phone if you remove the lightning port, but it’s able to withstand a decent amount of time already, so that point seems irrelevant.
I agree with you and to add to what you had mentioned... Strange calling it wireless charging, anyone can see chargers and cables connected to all those devices. Any brand charger connected to a cellphone still is attached to it, by surface or cable it’s a connecting point.
@@DBE008 you’re right there. I’m concerned apple will ditch the lightning port entirely in the next model or two. Then we’ll be stuck with inferior wireless data transfer speeds. I wish they’d just give us a USB-C or Thunderbolt connection and be done with it.
@@timwithers2866 During my school days I figured electricity was like water. There is no insulators for any wired-wireless chargers to a surface of a cellphone/smartphone. Not very effective for charging, makes me curious how much more money does it take to charge it. I can’t walk around the room or use public transportation charging my iPhone with that incomplete idea of wireless charging. How many people use their devices whilst charging? From what I have noticed many do including myself but I make sure it’s near a fan set on high speed to cool it as much as possible; especially when charging it. Protecting the battery, my last iPhone lasted over 5 years. Now to pick up the cellphone to use it, it’s cellphone + charging disc + watching it constantly to avoid lack of surface contact. Magesafe helps with these issues but you are still connected to a wire and it’s just not direct charging. How is this effective at being efficient, anyone got scientific information to prove it? (For those reading this comment)
Apple knows that it'll upset a ton of people, but they also know that nearly 100% of big name phone makers will copy them (even their bad ideas) within 6 months to a year, just however long it takes for the competitors to damage their next phone to make it match the last iPhone, and that ultimately people will have little mainstream choice but to accept Apple's vision. This happened with the stereo jack, the non-user replaceable battery, the notch, and is currently happening with the decision not to include a charger.
I’m thinking about what to do if Apple dropped the ports. Maybe buy the same iPhone I have or previous model or buy or stop using smartphones. If I go back to android it will only have 3 added apps from the play store and I’ll delete a lot of bloatwares and some of the apps included in the android OS.
I became the stereotypical apple fanboy over the last year. Switching from years and years of upgrading every spring from one Galaxy to the next. Gave up my S20 Ultra for a 12 Pro Max joining my iPad Pro 2020, MacBook Pro 2020, AirPod Pros, and Apple Watch 6. Now I have the M1 Mac Mini too. I think it’s fair to say Apple has trapped me in their ecosystem. But Apple not unifying their ports across all of their devices is super annoying! Why should I need to buy lightning, USB-C, and now MagSafe when every one else uses USB-C? It’s just idiotic! Apple only brought out this current iPhone design a couple months ago. The only reason I can see that they’d want to go portless is if they were going to taper the edges like the iMac screens. And I just don’t see that happening.
Tbh, I think if you’re comfortable paying $1100 for an iPhone but not comfortable spending $40 on literally 1 MagSafe cable, maybe that’s not the right phone for you financially speaking. I’m not ragging on you but I’m just saying.
Your gonna tell me apple couldn’t make this as small as the apple watch charger. This is smart. start off as big as possible, let a bunch of dummies buy it then will make it smaller and a bunch of dummies along with a much more bunch of dummies will buy it. SMART MOVE APPLE
Anyone looking for MagSafe compatible accessories check out MagBak - great silicone cases and wallets that stay together much better than Apple’s. Also magnetic attachments for your favourite non MagSafe compatible cases. Really excellent quality!
Apples MagSafe cases suck!!!!! On my iPhone 12 Pro Max the provide no protection for the screen I’m on my 4th screen protector since launch and i have the leather case and the silicone one 😖
Why would you buy magsafe products? You buy iPhones because there slim....and sorry but iPhone is stunning looking phone but attached all them goodies and well I think it looks rubbish
I had no interest at all in Magsafe when it was announced, but I've found that it works really well IRL. It's not something that I'd have trouble living without, but it has been a nice little tweak.
The only problem with a MagSafe car charger is for 99% of cars, you have to have the phone plugged directly to a USB port to get access to CarPlay anyways.
Wallets. NOOOOO. You're asking for the cards and cash to be stolen. You wouldn't leave your normal wallet open on the desk in front of you for all to see and be tempted, so DON'T stick them on the back of your phone!!!
Apple is a parts re-saler.. no charger, no system just device... no phone system kit... just buying complete panel and Apple parts separately means selling parts not selling systems.... there you GO
6:06 Ok Cool. I'm looking at getting this one now & was worried a magnet was in the stand to hold the puck. Good to see it's just held in via the rubber edges.
Love your videos man , I think iPhone wallet will attract robbers , first place , iPhone can already attract dozens of robbers , then now You have a wallet iPhone , you've made their day , are you really gonna go out with that thing ???
You must live in some sh*tty and desperate neighbourhood if you live somewhere where a mere phone will attract robbers. And even then, you can block them from using your cards, and then you can call up the police to trace your phone.
Whats the difference between sticking your charger into your phone and the car mount? I have a car mount already and i would still need to use the wire if i got the magsafe mount.
If you can not buy apple's wallet full price check out best buy at least they have great prices all the time. Why buy that shit wallet I don't understand
They have a protective lining or something that won’t mess up your cards. My wallet I’ve had for 3 years folds magnetically and I haven’t had any of my cards mess up.
@@carlosleal903 , your wallet might not have strong enough magnet, but a magnet that can hold phone’s accessories might easily damage credit cards. Idk... I feel like it’s just another Apple’s gimmick that will disappear in a year, or two.
Mine is ok its way (ProMax)! How do you like it? I’ve heard the magnets are not as strong? I have the previous version and honestly it’s pretty good just for the stand alone ..I don’t feel comfortable carrying anything “attached” to my phone..
Can this be used just as a magnetic holder? I like to plug my phone directly into the car for charging so there is no audio lag through Bluetooth. Also the maps for my car go through my iPhone 12 Pro Max so that’s another reason I just want this mount to hold it. The phone will be charged through the car USB port.
Can’t see Apple getting rid of the regular charging port on the bottom until they come up with a way for MagSafe to work with CarPlay. Too many cars still require the cord and the wireless converters out there kinda suck!
Wow thanks so much for this video please keep us updated on new MagSafe products that get released in the coming months. I have a few products from this list that I want to buy. I can't wait till I have them in my hands.
Are there any car mounts that attach to your windshield? Im personally not a fan of those mounts that attach to the vents or use a sticky material to mount to your dash.
Thanks for the recommendations. I still don’t think that Apple will get rid of the port on the iPhone soon. Just think about all the cars out there without wireless CarPlay.
My main gripe with magsafe is that it's no more wireless than lightning but its way bigger. I think the built in magnets are fantastic, but i think that charging through that giant puck that requires you take off your case is a big step back. Apple really nailed it with lightning.
if you get a magsafe case they all shoud work, some will work even better with the added friction of a rubber case such as the car mounts. Without a magsafe case some standard cases may work, but probably not any that deliver power unless the case is thin enough.
Does the LETSCOM version of the MagSafe charger fit in the small car mount you showed? I know it’s 1.5-2mm bigger than the official apple MagSafe charger.
