CJ Abeleda delivers a heart-warming, funny, and emotional best man speech for the groom of his only sister that culminates in tears, laughter and a standing ovation. Special thanks to Life's Highlights for capturing this special moment.
Give credit to the kids for being excellent. No matter how excellent the parents raised them they made the choice to be excellent. The parents don’t deserve credit. They did what they were supposed to do. The kids deserve all the credit for listening and applying it. Society always seems to think that the way an adult acts is due to the parents. Not so. Once you’re grown you decide whether to be a decent human or not no matter what you’ve been taught.
@@QueensFirst I’m conflicted with your statement. There are so many variables that have contributed to the people they have become. Ultimately, yes, it is up to the individual, but like the old saying goes, “it takes a village”, and fortunately, these “kids” had a great village to lay a good path for them to follow.
I didn’t see him look at a single note card. Anyone who has ever taken public speaking in college, knows just how incredibly hard that is. Great job, and a beautiful family.
He didn't need to have notes because he personally have witnessed everything in life that his brother in law did. He knew his brother in law too well that he gave his heartfelt honour to his brother in law whom he considered a real brother. When you know someone too well there's no need for written notes for everything has been figuratively been written in his heart 💓. Therefore he spoke right from the heart 💓.
As someone who has been doing this himself since being a child, I don’t think people understand that there’s a SKILL aspect that comes with this too. So when you’re speaking from your hearts and you already have the skill of public speaking you definitely don’t need to cards. I am someone who also has been doing it since a kid and STILL need something to look at. however if it’s coming from my heart I guarantee you I will do exactly what this young man just did…Which is to prepare and rehearse.
This dude is very smart. Started with laughter, then went to sadness and tough times, then back to laughter and joy, then ended it with hopes about the couple and expectations to end the toast. This is not anybody, this is a master speaker. Laid out perfectly. Future professor for sure.
Hey everyone, the best success that I have had was with the Talking Template Bundle (just google it) definately the best course that I have ever followed.
The 'tita cecil' at the start of speech... and then the referrence to 'ate', sealed my assumption at first glance that these are my 'kalahi'.... good looking people😊.
If its really speaking from the heart and experience, no notes needed. This man is full of compassion, love and respect to his brother in law. Typical Filipino family traits...
Erika, I'm not special, I'm not Filipino, but I was bursting with awe and pride listening to that speech. His goodness shines through him, he has the kind of charisma people will follow, should a cause ever grip him and not let go, not just because he's so eloquent, with that gentle humor, but because his soul is right there in his eyes and with that he moves us. (can we assume their brother lost his battle with leukemia? So young, always so sad.)
As a 51 yr old black man who is not impressed by much, this one did it. Must say, i cracked 1 or 2 tears for sure. I have some self assessment.... introspective.... analyzing to do. Thanks for this!
I'm a 55 year old black man what you trying to say were not sensitive we have to much thick skin that were not compassionate can't cry can't console can't be loving and caring that is the stereotype labeled against us don't justify my brother one
Posted by Lidia: This is not a best man's speech, this is a testimony of good upbringing, of regard to important principles and values and the proof that youth is perfectly capable of being aware and appreciative of what really matters in life. Beautiful!
He is not gay! He is his best friend and Best man.. His speech is SUPPOSED To Be ALL about him and their friendship! Plus brotherly love is a beautiful platonic thing and you naysayers can learn from this kid.
They are both cute... I'm sure this man has both shared amazing memories, but gosh the speech was so long yet the best man speaks like a professional inspirational speaker. He is so blessed with wit and speaking prowess. It takes only him to allow everyone to listen to him for a long time yet enjoying listening.
They're all Filipinos. Really good speaker. "I like how he remember those days when he was told to look after your sister. The signs that tells him she's got a good man".
that's the Family culture in the Philippines. The moment a sibling is born the son or eldest is told to protect and is accountable for his or her siblings. I hope its still is like that in the "i" generation of social media addict society
He watched to see how the groom treated his mother .. a wise and truthful observation to make.... I was told this when I met the man I wanted to marry ... he treated his mother with love and kindness till the day she passed away from alzheimers ... we have been happily married for 36 yrs. Congratulations to this lovely couple I wish you well.
I love how he included in his speech “If you wanna know how a man treats his wife. You should watch how he treats him mother” because that’s what I always tell my children. After all, that’s also how I fell in love with my husband. A man who treats his mother with love and respect will also do the same to you.
I feel you, I didn’t know I needed this till I saw it. I haven’t had a best friend like this since high school and I’m in my 30s and it made me remember friends are a beautiful thing that I miss.
The speech is also meant to convince the speaker’s own family that Mark is a good guy and the family can rest assured their daughter/sister/etc. is in good hands. Congrats to this happy family. 🇵🇭❤️
That's what you call bros, at the end when they toasted Mark didn't even look at his wife but instead gave the parting gesture of love and appreciation to his best man.
This was better than watching a movie....love story with, laughter, kindness, beauty, sadness, friendship and a steady camera....great 👍 Make me wish I had a male friend like that
A true brother looking out for his sister while so accepting of his new brother! I believe this couple and family will see many years together, such a beautiful speech! 😢🙂
I didn’t think I was gonna watch the whole speech, but I soon found myself lingering on every word. It’s so beautiful to see a man talk about another man in such a loving way without it being misconstrued as something else. Bro, you had me at what’s up..
This is one of the longest and definitely the best speeches I'd ever heard from a best man. It was very stunning and full of love. I send respects and admirations the newly wedding couple. He literally deserves a standing ovation from everyone.
The speech writing was okay, maybe 7.5 out of 10… but his delivery was simply world class! 10 out of 10!!! I need to know how exactly this best man learned how to give speeches!!!!
I'm happy not only for how smart this guy looks in and out but also because he's schooled and because his choice of words and body language and simplicity is amazing to
I would like my son to be this loving and sweet to his two sisters. The best speech I've ever heard so far, so natural and honest. Everything that he said speaks of how he loves his sister and his family. It was not even about the groom. It was all about how sure he was that his sister found the best husband and friend for her lifetime and for that he was so grateful to Mark.
Holy cow. Best speech ever - from a best man, from a brother, from anyone. You can feel the genuine love, support and admiration with every word. What a beautiful couple, and beautiful family surrounding them. May God fill every day with happiness and walk before them both, may God bless your marriage and families.
Wow wow u bought tears from my eyes. U r extremely intelligent ":: well spoken ""::u r emaculate. Am just lost for words .I ask God continously to bless u and ur fam..keep living with faith.i hope mark continue to live a honest and devoted life and dont ever disappoint u .u really love both of them God bless u.
You can tell he really loves his friend Mark. This is such a beautiful speech about friendship. It truly made me cry. Love this speech. Thank you for this speech and how others could see the true value of friendship.
What a beautiful speech. He's such a fantastic speaker. A genuine and sweet person. Loves his sister and made his brother in law feel so loved and accepted in the family.
He shows so much admiration and respect for the groom. And I sense a feeling of loss though too and sadness, like he's losing the groom, and he wishes for a love like that for himself. A lot of heart, and so much love.
What a wonderful speech! Obviously this brother not only loves his sister but loves his new brother. Hopefully the couple will have a wonderful life together.
Wow.. the balance of laughter shared pain and love was one perfect moment .. well done .. I salute the bride bridegroom and the parents and of course the best man.. congratulations!!
~👰🏻🤵🏻~ Such a proud and eloquent brother! How easily he is able to share his thoughts, words and emotions of pure joy and happiness for his sister who is now on a new path in her life as a loving wife, a devoted partner, and future mother..ha! with his best friend. Clearly he is speaking from his heart about two people he admirers deeply, which is why his words come so easily, sincerely and unrehearsed they come from a place of love. I'm wondering if his kind, loving and heartfelt speech may be a reflection of the kind of man that he is? His words of wisdom on love, truth, honesty and most importantly, respect is a gift he gave to the bride and groom and shared with everyone who witnessed their vows to each other. ☘️
Best speech I’ve ever heard, so memorable. Made me think deeper about the importance of people in our lives … we all need each other in one way or another to be happy and flourish
Watching this young man bring life to his emotions in such a beautiful way really tugged at my heartstrings. This is truly one of the best speeches I have ever heard in a long, long time. It says a lot...a really really lot about family values, upbringing and sibling love and bonding that last a lifetime.
Knowledge is the greatest commodity investment is the quickest path to financial freedom, the rich stays rich by spending like the poor yet investing! While the poor stays poor by spending like the rich yet not investing.
When I first read the comments I was wondering what could be so emotional that got people crying and now I can't even hold the tears. Friendships and relationships is such a beautiful thing that's really hard to find these days❤️😭. And this best man could win a presidential election just by how he speaks, he's such a great speaker!
I wish I have a brother like this best man, smart and articulate a testament his parents raised him right. I applaud this best man and brides parents, I know, no family is perfect but I can confidently say their family is close to perfect.😀 My two daughters graduated from USF too.
The best speech I ever heard and no notes. She is really lucky to have both men in her life. Congratulations to you as well for getting into the college.
