The magpie birds are very scary during nesting season when they will swoop and dive-bomb and peck anyone passing into their territory near the nest. There are videos of them doing this on YT.

Watch whole grand final it has it all. So many stories father/sons. Darcy Moore was presented the cup by his father who played in 4 losing GF,s. Peter Daicos had his 2 sons playing in that game and Joe Danaher had his father and 3 uncles play AFL. No 10 Scott Pendlebury for the pies is 36 years old and has played 383 games going back to 2006 and in the last quarter gave a masterclass in footy. Steele Sidebottom 309 games going back to 2009 and nobody believed he could kick that final goal from 60 yards out in that heat 83 F at the end of the game. Football cannot get better than those last goals from Brisbane and Collingwood from the last 5 minutes. Umpire saying 6 6 6 means at a center ball up each team has to have 6 players in forward, center and back zones after ball is in in play anyone can be anywhere.

The man who has "been here many times before" is Joel Selwood, Geelong Cats great. Won 4 premierships from 6 grand finals (2007, 2009, 2011 and 2022), premiership captain 2022, Geelong games record holder, most games as captain, 6 time All-Australian and 3-time All Australian captain. He retired after Geelong won the premiership in 2022. A legend of the game :)

In the commentary Peter Moore is mentioned for kicking goals. The guy who has the blonde locks is his son Darcy Moore, but Darcy Moore is a defender. Joe Daniher's family is Irish, so I would reckon that he is called Joseph for sure. In my head now, I have Nicole Kidman calling Tom Cruise "Joseph" with an Irish accent in the movie Far and away. 😂 Collingwood have won the AFL premiership in 1990 and 2010. Seeing my third, in my life was beautiful though. FYI the current "longest drought" in footy is the St. Kilda Saints since 1966. Before that it was the Melbourne Demons and before that in 2016 the Bulldogs were the ones (1954-2016) and before that it was the South Melbourne / Sydney Swans (1936-2005). I am not 100 percent sure about the years of the Sth Melbourne / Sydney drought but I was definitely the longest in the AFL at the time and it was the first ever win for the Sydney team. 🔴⚪ I grew up in the (1958-1990) Collingwood drought and I understand what it means to the fans. I just found out that Callum Brown from the GWS Giants is Irish. Wow, he's a fast Irish guy who is a footballer, that's a great combo. He happens to be a brown person, but that's irrelevant. I was just trying to understand what his accent was. 😂 Apparently he grew up kicking a round ball in Ireland. Brown is a brown person. LOL... I just got that. 😂 And I can laugh at that because I'm a brown person myself. It's was like the jokes about Mr Brown at the start of the television show called Mind your Language. Mr Brown is telling two people from India and Pakistan that "he is Brown". And the Pakistani guy, Ali says, "No. We are brown. You are white!" 😂 Silly I know. 🎉😂 But the actor who played Ali, made it work. 👍

First September grand final win since 1958. Both the 2010 and 1990 games were played in October thanks to draws. I was at this game, the last five minutes I spent watching between the game and my phone with the time remaining on it, it was so anxiety causing it was ridiculous. As for the player numbers, after a while you start picking them up, also at the game you get a record which tells you the names that go to the numbers.

Generally AFL players won't fake being hurt, it's hugely looked down upon in AFL. If they look hurt, they are probably feeling it.

Hardly. 1989 Grand final. It was truly the stuff of legends. High scoring. Big hits. Bigger names. Players almost dying for the cause quite literally, as in being revived in the ambulance on the way to hospital. Players suffering serious injuries right from the opening bounce. Oh, and the man simply called "god" kicking a massive bag of goals. A super tight finish that was really seconds away from a reversal of the result. Otherwise, the greatest story arc, across more than one game, in AFL history was Sydney versus West Coast during the 2005 and 2006 season, including the 2005 and 2006 AFL grand finals. Not one game during that period was decided by even a goal. Game after game, not necessarily huge scores, but the kind of defence that every match was like WW I trenches warfare. One mistake, one dropped mark, one broken tackle, one stray kick after 2 hours of football would decide a match, and decided 2 seasons of 26 matches. Crazy intensity.

You misunderstood what he said Collingwood hadn't won a grand final in September since 1958. We won a Geand Final in 1990 and again in 2010 how ever those 2 grand finals were played in October due to a draw between Collingwood and West Coast Eagles in the quarter final and the game had to be played again the next week. In 2010 The Grand Final between Collingwood and the saints was a draw so it was played again the next week.

The 1989 Grand Final with players dropping like flies, was a much better game. Last man standing affair.

We don’t have Lions, but I have seen them close up - like 2 meters through a fence, they were pretty chilled, used to people from being in a circus I guess. Magpies lol, see them all the time, but don’t be doing anything weird ( like riding a bike) around them or they will attack, and not because they are protecting their babies, you can get it anywhere and anytime of the year, they are highly intelligent. A bird with red eyes should tell you something - The Devils Angels, is what they are.

Hi Bobby. 😀 That guy who you didn't know who he is, is Joel Selwood. He used to play for Geelong. He debuted for Geelong in 2007. Geelong won the Grand Final in 2007 for the first time in generations and it was a record margin in a grand final match. He retired after winning the 2022 grand final as Geelong's captain. He had three brothers who played in the AFL. He used to make funny videos with his girlfriend. This was the first grand final after his retirement and he could have been thinking about himself or he could have been caught up in the game. He didn't look too stressed. LOL So I guess that we will never know. 🤔😂 What was Joel Selwood thinking about at the 2023 AFL grand final? And what is his other brother's name? I think it is Troy. Troy Selwood, Adam Selwood, Scott Selwood and of course Joel. He played with Gary Ablett Jnr and Patrick Dangerfield. Gary Ablett Jnr and Patrick Dangerfield have been awarded the Brownlow medal which is like the league MVP award. But many people who are older will tell you that Gary Ablett Snr was better than all of these guys and I agree. It was a good grand final but seen better ones. But ANZAC day match is awesome been Essendon vs Collingwood. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Don't know who suggested this was a great or best match / game.......must have been a young Collingwood ( magpie ) supporter.....the older ones would know better. This was an ordinary grand final with skills reminiscent of a good quality reserve grade game. The 1989 Grand Final was as good as it gets...... a brutal game from start to finnish , with skills the modern players can only dream about. .. and a surprise tight finnish. Best to read up on Dermott Brereton before you watch the game..... then understand that in an earlier game, Dermott had taken out Geelong captain in a bad way.....Mark Yates had to have a testical removed but was back playing and in a Grand Final........ Geelong had a brilliant team but hadnt won The Cup for about 15 years. Hawthorn were playing in their 7th Grand Final in a row winning 3 of them including last years. Now you will understand the opening bounce and first 5 minutes.......a lot at stake and a very big grudge . The game stayed at this level for over 2 hours with both teams having at least 4 badly injured players on the ground, because their replacements were too banged up to return.

Absolutely love this but I’m pretty sure this will be taken down pretty soon. The AFL are really strict with the re release of their content, even if it can be considered “transformative” like a reaction. That exact reason is why KSI’s AFL video got taken down. I can’t give a positive spin on this game, the over rated overdogs that get all the afl’s attention won, while the underdog Brisbane team that has been to hell and back and is flatly ignored by the afl is ignored as always. Collingwood is all we heard about last year and all we’ve heard about this year, they even made a doco on it. It shits me to tears but hopefully they lose in the game starting in 13 minutes. Probably a good vid though, keep up the good work (I can’t stand to watch this one)
