Hello! When speaking about size when it comes to sunglasses the SFW (SportRx Frame Width™) serves as a much more accurate metric compared to lens width due to the fact that many frames have a 6 or 8 base wraparound design. For example, a 4 base frame with a 'flat' front and no wrap may have a lens width of 55mm and is considered, generally, to be a large size. However, if the frame is wrapped then there is more surface area of the lens that is curving around the wearers face. So, a wrapped frame may have a lens width of 62mm yet is considered to be small or medium size. This is why frame width is much more comprehensive tool when identifying respective size as a 65mm lens width on a wrapped frame will fit similar to a 55mm flat frame. Hopefully this helps picking out the right frame for your needs but if you have further questions don't hesitate to reach out to friendly and knowledgeable opticians for assistance! 877.289.2999 info@sportrx.com
@@sportrxeyewear Damn never thought it that way and this is the first time I have it explained so well.....thank you so much this has been very helpful
They make way to many large sunglasses. I can't even find something the size of a kaenon Burnet for christ sake with glass lenses. They need to start offering different size options. The small ones, with glass lenses all have shitty shapes besides the stingray. There's no way I'm going away from keanons lenses unless it's glass.
Hi Tyler, i have two pairs of those from smaller collections but not very happy with fit and confort. like you said i m also big fan of traditional hinges on sunglasses. both of mine has spring hinges. i experience spring hinges cause the frame to loose fit which i am not happy with. Stingray fit pretty well except spring hinges noise sometimes but the big issue with this pairs is my eyelashes touch the lenses which cause fogging. very annoying. Koko Head on the other hand fit loose, ppor fit otherwise no fogging issue since the frame and glasses are base curve 6. will never repeat same mistake buying sunglasses that wrapped around due to eyelashes touching problem. my question to you is, do you recommend Sunny Days to male? Sorry for long text. Thanks 😊
The hinges only loosen if you use them to spead the arms out wide constantly. I've had eye glasses since I was 5. Do NOT use the spring hinges to wear them or put them on. They're to protect the hinge, not for convenience of putting them on or off. They're a safety feature. Not for comfort. If you're putting pressure on the spring hinge while wearing you have the wrong size glasses. Just my 2 cents.
the new ones up are not worth the price. The north star frame is just beautiful. I think Kering Eyewear bought them so they don't compete with their luxury brand. Now they have ugly ones that are not worth the price they are asking.
