you are the FIRST person I see who talked about the app, I can't even tell if the mic is on or not, bc the difference with phone mic is minimal. And everyone keeps talking about how awesome it is without actually showing how to use it!!! and it's only for iphones... so much money wasted...

Man I have to say I bought 2 sets of the Rode ME after finding that you always need the receiver plugged into the camera to save audio. I record two people away from camera frequently. Also even if you record as split channels you need to separate the channels on post (which is a few steps on Davinci resolve). Also I find them to be very heavy. Every shirt I clip it on it folds the shirt collar down with its weight. Overall I have a cheap shotgun mic that when paired with davinci resolves “voice isolation” produces just as good audio without the hassle of carrying so many devices. Would NOT buy again lol

Have you checked Rode Wireless Go II? It is a receiver and two transmitters.. Maybe a better combination for what you need. (same weight and form factor though)

Could you make a video of how you get these two to work? I turn both Mics on i have to manually pair them by holding the button they never pair with the app. I am wondering if that is my issue. I have the RX on but the Mic turned off because i want the guest who has the TX on them to be the only audio however there is ZERO level coming through w/ the TX Mic no matter if i connect it directly to camera etc. Also wondering if i have a faulty TX Mic in general which is why this is so hard. Any helpful tips you could give would be so appreciated.

So you’re saying you cannot connect to the app? Because as demoed in this video the app is where you select and turn on the TX or RX for recording purposes. So it seems like that might be your problem, maybe the TX mic is turned off? Or as you mentioned perhaps you have a bad mic. Really hard to know for sure. I would suggest reaching out to Rode support if you can’t figure it out. They’re usually pretty good and will almost always replace a faulty device.

@@iphoneographers No sorry, I can get on the app and it shows the RX when its plugged in. Thats all not the TX. So i choose to turn off the RX on the app, and then the TX shows up but theres no option to turn it on or off. Im happy to email you screen shots if its helpful. I app, your help!

I use the DJI mic and to me this system seems like a step backwards in so many ways.

@@mazzdacon2134 Also their connection to your phone is so much cleaner and the charging case and organization is incredible. Rode needs to step it up.
