Those new compact brushless M18 impact/drill really impress me. It's rated at 1,700 inch pounds of torque. Compared to another brushless impact, the 2850-20, it is much smaller and still delivers 100 more inch pounds. Crazy.
Vince, I got into the Flex Platform last year and love it, However, I have recently bought into the Milwaukee M12 hammer drill and impact unit and I love their size and usefulness. Great tools. I have recent gotten some terrific deals from Milwaukee and Dewalt at Home Depot.
got the dewalt bogo deal this afternoon, got the sander and did this whole water closet section in prep for texture. still got juice left. diablo pads are super nice. i have other tools that are greatly going to benefit from this battery. i do want to pick up that 1/2 and 3/8 xr ratchet though. missed the lowes ratchet kit deal they had for 229, powerstack 1.7's included
I’ve been watching Home Depot and Lowe’s prices for quite a while now. More often than not though it seems Home Depot has better or lower prices than Lowes, at least as far as DEWALT tools goes. Just bought a Dewalt 1/4 sheet sander and battery with 2 5amp power stack batteries on Home Depot’s web site but also just found out order has been canceled due to availability. Very disappointed. I’ve got quite a few home projects I need to get done, now I’ll probably have to pay full price or higher for tools supposedly in stock only to have it canceled. I won’t be charged for them, but it’s frustrating when this happens when I’m trying to get things set up for work I want to do.
Know what really burns my ass is these battery’s are expensive as can be then they run these deals and can sell them for 39$ or give them away for free with a tool if they can do that sometimes there is no reason why they can’t just charge a reasonable price all the time year round on everything!! You know there not selling anything at a loss that’s just bad business so it really shows just how much they are marking there stuff up!! I mean these places are making 30 times there money on these power tools and it really burns me up when they want 200$ for a battery and then a month later it will go on sale for 50$ 60$ it’s crap!!
The $39 3ah battery deal is nice, but I prefer either the 5ah battery BOGO deals where you can essentially get them at $50 each or the 5ah power stack BOGO deals, and speaking of BOGO deals, the ones last december and january were much, MUCH better. i got the dewalt 3 tool 5ah and 1.7ah powerstack tool deal currently at $499 for $190.10. looking forward to seeing similar deals hopefully this president's day or most likely sometime this june or july.
